After much thought we decided it was time to sell our 2014 Ford Fx4…read more Selling it ourselves seemed like a hassle right now so I got an offer from carmax online. It was very easy. They offered almost 3k more than Ford did! The offer lasts a week. Make an appointment. You bring your paperwork and vehicle. They confirm everything is as you said. And they cut you a check. Done! Shout out to Jay!!! She was our specialist. She had us out of there in under an hour! I don't know about buying, but my experience selling our truck at carmax was 5 stars!

I had an appointment for a vehicle inspection. I arrived and gave my name and that I had an…read moreinspection appointment. They had no information at all. So I was treated as a walk in. Ok. The sales woman was so uncooperative and difficult. She didn't listen at all. Talked over me. Kept repeating we had to do this "the old fashioned way" to price the truck. Well, yeah. That's why I had an "inspection " appointment. She had the info. Erased it intentionally! Then asked me for it as if she hadn't had it. While I was pulling it up she kept badgering me. I asked her politely to give me a moment and I would have it for her. But no. She just kept pushing. Finally I realized I would not be treated fairly, picked up my stuff and said I was leaving because I wasn't comfortable. She said snottily she wasn't either. She followed over to the front dest and started talking over me while I was telling the counter person about the problem. So whether she doesn't like older women, arabic last names ( my ex husband's) or blue hair I'm not sure but there was a prejudice there.

We test drove a 2019 RS3 four times before we decided to purchase it. Brian (the owner) helped us…read morefrom beginning to the end of the process. He was able to answer all of our questions and was a no pressure salesman. He offered us fair market for our car and had the paper work done and keys in our hand in less than an hour. Mark the co-owner was also very helpful with the paperwork. They both stayed after closing to finish the job. We don't need another car, but would have no issues purchasing from M Sport again.

UPDATE: I sent the picture of the "tar" oil to the owner and to his credit he responded quickly and…read moreapologized. He said that it was indeed obvious that the oil wasn't changed, and acknowledged this was a "miss" by his mechanic. I appreciated this bc at the time I was contending that the oil hadn't been changed, I felt like the "bad guy" when his mechanic was telling us that he had changed it. So I appreciated the call. In any case, this could have been a real problem for me had I not done my own checking and changed the oil myself, and no doubt I would have just been out-of-luck with no recourse. So even if not attributable to malice in this case, stuff can fall through the cracks and I recommend that you do your own thorough due diligence and not necessarily just take everything that is said at face value. ORIGINAL: Be careful and you should buy here only if you know cars or if you have a good mechanic. I came here only because they happened to have a rare model that I was looking for. The owner represented that they had changed the oil after I expressly asked. I honestly didn't care if they did or not, I just wanted to know so I would know to do it. After a cursory check after some driving, it was obvious from the dipstick that the "mechanic" had not. I went back to the dealership to get them to do it. When I returned, the owner swore up and down that his "mechanic" changed the oil, and that he didn't want to ask him to change it again bc then he'd be "calling his mechanic a liar." I said I couldn't speak to whether the "mechanic" was a liar or not, but see can see from the photo what eventually came out when I changed it. So yea, man, your "mechanic" is indeed, a liar. The owner then offered to reimburse me if I went to go change it at Midas nearby. Not trusting a "quickie oil change" place either I asked instead if the owner would just pay me the cost of the oil and filter and I'd do it myself. So buyer beware. They have a decent selection of interesting cars, but you should assume, regardless of what they tell you, that they did not do any maintenance to the car. Unless you are physically watching them as they do it, and even then I'm not sure I would trust them. You will either have to check everything yourself, or take it to your trusted mechanic. The one thing that is good, is that the salespeople seemed like decent enough people, but definitely are not thorough or take proper care in what they are doing. For 90% of buyers who don't know anything about cars they can probably get away with their behavior. But I'd recommend that you only buy here if if you really know your cars and know exactly what to check.
