I've had a change to chat with security staff at the front and some, former military are super caring and kind. I feel super safe around northgate. Given the fentanyl and crime rate in the area this extra level of safety reassures me. The store is always clean and well displayed and the staff are knowledgeable. I think this store attracts a specific personality type and I noticed that some staff focus more on the specs of an item rather than focusing on the customer. It's hit or miss. Having come from sales and the service industry, I think that the emotional iq aspect could improve. I'm not giving this location a bad rating. I hope that my feedback can serve as a learning opportunity if you want. For example, I often have to find an associate to find something if there isn't one at the front by security. Sometimes, the staff will speak as if I am knowledgeable about tech and I hope the staff person can ask me what my knowledge of tech is first before processing. Value is fine. The Best Buy regional number gave misadvised me and I the staff seemed clueless at this location. I still like shopping here and they randomly have a good selection of toys.

He's fairly knowledgeable about PCs and repairing, so you can count on his expertise. If you need to replace any of the parts, keep in mind that there are additional costs to order and install the parts (as expected), so you need to consider the value of repairing the machine as opposed to buying something new. Since my machine ended up being old, the cost of repair wasn't worth it. It was however, a benefit for the peace of mind that nothing else could be worked on so I didn't have to waste any further time. Overall, I do recommend Richard for his services.

Thankfully, I work off of external drives, so I didn't need to recover any data- I just wanted to start over from scratch! Since I was on my way to Costco anyhow and I'd passed by this place a few dozen times I figured I'd stop in and check it out since I'm always on the lookout for a good hobbyist computer stores. Anyhow, the store was clean, the selection of equipment was decent enough. However the shopkeeper followed me around the store, I'm not sure if he was trying to be available for questions or watching me because he suspected I might be a thief. Given the shop's location on Aurora I can't really blame him for being careful, but it was a bit unnerving. Also, I was browsing the processors on display, I asked how much for this one particular processor to which I received a resounding "NO! It's not for sale!!" he further explained "I use those processors for resale systems" OK, fine, then don't have them on display. I was able to get the exact replacement for my case fan though, and it was a decent price. Despite the bristly service it's not a bad place to go. I don't think I'd go out of my way to get there though.
