Called today to find out how to recycle some e-waste and non-functioning blender and had a great conversation with Tyler, the company owner.

I was really impressed with how clean and well organized the recycling area was. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they answered all my questions and made the process really smooth. Unfortunately, all the cardboard bins were full during my visit, so I was directed to the garbage area instead to use the cardboard recycling bin there. Just a heads up: It's VERY stinky in there, and I wasn't prepared for that part. I was wearing long pants, and they did get a bit wet from whatever was on the floor. It does look like the staff regularly cleans the floor area, which is probably why the floor was wet but still, not the most pleasant surprise! That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, great experience and helpful service!

Well, now I will put a finger down as the kids say because wow, what a dump! In the best way possible. I don't even know where to begin. Call me a dump fiend because I Stan the North Transfer Station. I can't wait to bring my kid here for a tour.

Shopping here is a bit like the store itself: consistently chaotic, occasionally full of hidden gems, and always changing. As a result, every visit feels a bit different, which is exactly why I look forward to coming back every time. It's a dated location without the bells and whistles of the more modern ones with an abundant parking lot with tight spaces, and what feels like a never-ending line to donate via car. It was so significant that there is someone designated to help direct traffic. The store is massive. There are dedicated sections for electronics, art, books, home decor, furniture and what feels like endless aisles for accessories, clothes, and a limited selection of shoes. There are also bathrooms, but it was closed during my last visit (#1). Don't expect rock bottom prices as this isn't the cheapest Goodwill around. The staff isn't overly attentive, but they're efficient, especially when it comes to keeping the checkout line moving. Fortunately there are plenty of employees on hand, which is absolutely necessary given how hectic the donation area can get. __________ (#1) No, I don't want to imagine why.

On top of all that, their convoluted parking lot is so absolutely kafkaesque that it snarls neighborhood traffic for blocks in every direction as frustrated "customers" try to find their way out of a cruel science experiment that feels intentionally cruel and unusual. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS--DO NOT BE A FOOL!

They got me onto a new machine for about half the price I was prepared to spend, checked specs and I was almost shocked at how easy it was. The employee 100% looks like he came out of 1965. He was polite, long-haired hippie, looking dude that solved my problem and looked up the specs on the program I wanted to run, and I feel very well taken care of. If I had gone to some place like Best Buy, they would've tried to upsell me and cross sell me a double double sell me and this place I've come here about 10 years ago to buy a machine for my assistant at the time and very happy that it's a small Seattle business is still running. If you need a computer or a terminal or a monitor or an upgrade, I feel very confident that they would provide you excellent service high-quality hardware and we need to have more of these small businesses getting people to buy from them. Instead of trying to upsell me into a full laptop and the terminal in all of these parts, he sold me on a terminal a wireless Wi-Fi no monitor and it was very simple set up. I'm very happy to have given them my business, and will definitely be back.

I arrived and another customer is waiting out front. We both knocked on the door but to no avail. The other customer calls the number posted out front and eventually a worker greets us. I told him I was dropping off a monitor and he told me it would cost $10. I told him I spoke to someone 20 minutes ago and was told it would be at no cost. The worker/owner(?) said it used to be free but now there is a cost per item. Ok.. why wasn't that disclosed when I called not even an hour ago? The other customer also said he spoke to someone yesterday and they told him it was free to drop off the peripherals. I'm giving the business 3 stars because they should have been upfront about the cost. I think they are saying it costs $0 to get people to show up, then charge them a fee at arrival. Truthfully, I would have been ok paying $10 - I just want transparency! Pretty sure he'll part out my monitor anyway since there's zinc, copper and metal in it but I find their business practice kinda shady.
