I recently decided to buy some RAM to be installed into my MSI gaming laptop and since my laptop was going to be opened up, I decided to might as well have an additional SSD installed and have my GPU and CPU repasted. I looked around all of Seattle for other PC shops and emailed them to see if they were able to perform this installation and only about half of them responded within a couple a days with a quote and the ones that did gave me estimated return time of a few days and a quote ranging from $100-300 for this task! I decided to search somewhere on the east side of Seattle and came across Dr. PC fix and after reading the reviews about them, I decided to contact them and got a quick response within the same day. They gave me a quote of this installation of about $50 which was a great deal considering other places would probably charge about $150 on average! I came in the next day and they were able to perform a quick installation within 2 hours and gave my laptop back to me within the same day. The guys working here were very professional and seem to be very knowledgeable with what they are doing. No issues at all. This is the only place around that diagnoses for free (although there are some others that apply their fee to the repair). They were a little slow getting back to me, but it's a very small operation and I imagine they look at a lot of computers. They guarantee a quote within 48 hours and they made that cut off so I can't complain. Once they did get back to me, the actual repair took all of 1 hour. All in all pretty good turn around. The labor and parts costs seem reasonable. The guys were really friendly too. We will definitely be using them again for future computer repairs. Be aware that they are closed on Sundays. read more
