Excellent service. Good communications. The first was within moments of drop-off. Nothing could have gone faster, except deliveries from outside vendors. Acquiring parts, now. Given a vintage laptop, that was a short run model anyway, is tough. He was helpful in providing likely spare parts providers, and quite fast at that. He was also spot-on to start with a $7 part. It cost a couple of days, but it proved I had a dreaded mother board problem. Old motherboard vs. 'newer case'...? I chose an eBay "open box" laptop. He quickly data downloaded to the hard SSD drive I provided, and uploaded all of that data to the 'new to me' laptop. I am operational after logging on a few places, and entering passwords. Any and all of my issues are about the delay in acquiring parts, and for having such a niche laptop. My 3-year-old Dell laptop was overheating and the fan would intermittently spin up so loud that folks on the other end of virtual meetings said it sounded like a jet engine. Michael diagnosed the failing fan within minutes of me dropping it off to him, and sent me a link to order a replacement. I had the new fan sent to him and he replaced it as soon as it arrived. I'm happy to write another rave review for King County PC Repair. My laptop was acting strange - it was deleting whatever I was writing (including gmail, Word docs, etc.). I called Mike, and he suggested that I try cleaning the backspace key before we do something more extensive like replacing the keyboard and/or the motherboard. Quick assessment, quick fix, fully transparent towards customer and all of the options available!

I can't say enough good things about KCPR. Michael really knows what he's talking about and his customer service is phenomenal. I corresponded with him via Yelp for two weeks while I was comparing quotes and he was always communicative (avg response time was 15 minutes) and patient. His quote never changed and when I told him that another repair shop said I needed a new hard drive and quoted me X price for the part, Michael immediately priced out cheaper options. I went with my gut and went with KCPR and I'm so glad I did. I dropped off my laptop and 15 minutes later he messaged to let me know that I didn't actually need a new hard drive and that my laptop would be ready in an hour. This is incredible considering I waited seven days for a diagnostic from another repair shop AND they were going to charge me for a part I never needed. To add, Michael's quote was 75% below the other shop. He continued to answer any questions I had even after he fixed my laptop and a small detail I noticed - when I picked up my laptop from the place I had the initial diagnostic done I noticed a lot of smudges and debris (not a big deal but just made note that I needed to buy screen cleaner) but when I picked it up from Michael, he had cleaned my screen. Just a small detail, but shows his customer care. KCPR is the hands down the best at being honest, transparent, fast, friendly, professional, and laid back (he can work around your schedule)! I'm happy to recommend this small business. I spilled water on my laptop and needed a new keyboard. Michael diagnosed the issue, recommended replacement parts, suggested a place to pick up a temporary low-cost external keyboard, and then installed my new keyboard in the laptop. Contacted him via text regarding a cracked screen on my laptop 2-in-1 that was causing confusion for the touch-screen (it kept detecting I was pressing the screen, when I wasn't, making the mouse go crazy).
