Had an emergency phone screen replacement for my girlfriend's Samsung S25+ after it dropped on…read moreconcrete and cracked. Cost $330 for the repair. After replacement my girlfriend and I started noticing condensation both front and back camera lenses that eventually led to the phone randomly turning off. Tried troubleshooting but unable to turn phone on. Took it to another third party phone repair shop for diagnosis and was told whoever did the replacement left the inside messy and the screen connection was loose. The repair guy was able to bring the phone back to life during diagnosis but the screen was flickering. He recommended to take it back to where it was originally repaired. Drove back to Redmond and explained the situation. Employee said it will be about 2 hours to take a look and will call/text when ready. Okay cool. So we waited 2 hours and when we came back and he asked did you receive a text. I said it was already the 2 hour mark... The one hour device repair guy then explained the screen connection is corroded and proceeded to show a picture on his phone of the corrosion. He suggested we must've dropped it in water. So now I'm thinking, how can a connection be corroded internally if this phone is water resistant and the phone had these problems AFTER the repair? Even so, we NEVER exposed it directly to any source of liquid since the time of initial repair. Even if we did, shouldn't it NOT have this issue anyway? Also we NEVER received any document or signed anything acknowledging of any potential risks after repair. I asked the repair guy what are our options. He said he can order the screen replacement and have it done on Wednesday. I asked him if this was going to be charged. He said yes. I said no. He said call the number for "headquarters". I called and no one picked up. We left and on the drive home the number from "headquarters" calls us. I explained the situation again to "headquarters" guy and asked for what are our options. He said we'd have to pay $309. I said no. He said let me place you on hold and call the repair guy in Redmond. We waited on hold for a bit. He comes back and says the corrosion is from water damage. I'm thinking what is this guy trying to imply? We continued to have a back and forth until he relents and says I can do it for $209. I said no thanks. That is literally the cost of a replacement phone adding both repair costs. Honestly I was livid after this conversation. Not only was there zero accountability from their end, but they tried to shift blame on the customer for using their phone normally. TLDR: Please make sure you are aware the risks of getting anything repaired from this business. It might make more sense buying a replacement instead.

(I was told he gets mail delivered there, but he never actually lived there). His website was active when I found him, but now it is showing "expired". -He sent screenshots of the files I wanted to recover, but he hasn't completed the work. -All I want is to receive my hard drive back... (I get it, life happens - I've had urgent life/death matters to deal with too - you can't just disappear and expect people to be happy. Ask a friend to pick up the hard drive and return it to your customer.)

I've used the Geek Squad and others in the past and they were worse than useless. But not these guys! They were recommended to me by my neighbor, who is a Programmer with a major software company, and boy was he right. My computer crashed and would not reboot. They were able to repair it to the point of booting, and it could be used, but it was really old and definitely past its expiration date, so I reluctantly decided it was time to move to a new computer. They were able to recover all of my data (which I had of course failed to back up for months) and my web bookmarks. Phew! And it cost WAY LESS than I was expecting. I then ran into some issues with my old monitor not working with my new computer, and they helped me figure it out without charging me any extra, even though realistically they should have because this had nothing to do with what I had already paid for. I find the negative reviews baffling -- could it be that they are putting their review in the wrong place? I've seen this happen to a friend of mine who has a small business, and he regularly gets negative ratings from people who thought they were rating a different company with a similar name. Nothing I saw over 3 days of interacting with these guys even remotely resembled the negative comments. Bottom line -- if you have issues with your computer, definitely start here. This is the kind of small, local business we need to support.

First Vibes Value is underwhelming. I'm an electronics…read moreassembler and I former field service technician/electronics repair tech. Their GPUs, PC cards, networking & other peripherals are 5 - 8 generations old, yet they often want the higher end of the average price of those same completed/sold items on eBay. And sure, that's fine, if what you're selling is 100% tested/working, in great condition, cleaned and/or comes with a limited warranty. Instead, lots of items are dirty, scuffed up, damaged, and/or missing critical components. For instance, several of their motherboards were missing IO shields. Bonkers Pricing! 5-6 generation old GPUs (GTX 770, 970, RX 570 etc) were $60 - $125; SCSI cards (only $1 at RE-PC Seattle!) were $14!! By far the worst offender by a long shot was their motherboard section: They had an Asus Prime A320M-A, marked as "tested" and came with stock cooler, plus IO plate. They wanted $100!! This is an entry-level, first-gen AM4 socket (so Ryzen 3/5/7/9 CPUs) however, if you wanted to pair this board with a newer Ryzen 5000 series, for example, it wouldn't just work natively. You have to update the BIOS in the board first, and you'd 100% have to do this Bios update WITH an older Ryzen CPU, which is tricky even for tech savvy gamers. Lastly, this board and other entry level ones like it can be found elsewhere for $40 - $70, and often in way better condition, or with the BIOS update done by previous owner/seller. Other cons Some items have stickers that do say "tested", while others don't have any stickers. You have to just walk to the front and ask. Things are organized in big totes, but it's hit or miss finding parts you need, as the store as a whole is incredibly dirty and dingy, with random fully built systems, speakers/sub woofers, TVs and other electronics randomly placed in between these totes, none of which are ever grouped together. Some of their pre built laptops are up near the front desk, which I'm sure is due to the Kensington locks to prevent theft, but their desktops are everywhere, so if you're looking, your better off calling to ask ahead of time, to ask what they have in stock. Otherwise if you come in on your own, and especially if you're not a tech nerd who knows what to look for, you're absolutely going to have a really tough time finding things. The Pros 1) The staff seem knowledgeable about parts, and the repair they were working on when I walked in was a more challenging board level diagnostic test, which told me they have experience and knowledge in this field. 2) They have TONS of stock, especially in monitors, old hard to find adapters, cards etc. So, if eBay seems like it'll take too long, you'll likely find what ya need here. Repairs They do offer repairs, and I overheard a customer call on the phone and ask the guy working here if he "had updates on his PC they are fixing." The worker did acknowledge the shop did in fact still have it on their bench, but "needed another day or so to give any updates." I worked and managed a repair shop on the Eastside for 4+ years, and based on my experience, when you tell somebody only that you "need more time," it's 99% of the time due to 1 of 2 possibilities: 1) You haven't had time to even look at it; 2) You've run some diagnostics, but it yielded little/no clues as to how it can be fixed. Why transparency matters I think it's critical to communicate with customers and see their problems from their perspective. Instead of just treating them as a work order number, and getting them off the phone as quickly as possible, which is what this shop did. When I ran my shop, I always greeted the customers warmly, often by their first names (as most of them were repeat customers) and just be completely honest with them, even if it's news you may think they don't want to hear. I learned the hard way that if you don't give them information they're paying you for updates on, it often just makes follow up communications much more challenging, and can easily sour business relationships. In summary, this shop has a LOT of potential! They're in an AMAZING location, close to Microsoft and high value real estate, and they have the expertise, but couldn't help but notice the passion and organization was extremely lackluster. And yes, I realize this review focuses heavily on the negatives, but I do this from a lens of constructive criticism for my industry peers, to better improve public assumptions of the consumer tech repair industry, and to improved awareness of the right to repair laws. I hope this helps somebody, whether it's a potential customer, or the owners of this business. Thanks

On top of that, this is only 1 of 2 certified places that can repair my Lenovo laptop and I had to drive hours to just pick up and drop off my laptop. They offer shipping, but that's more money out of your pocket for them to use on top of the diagnosis cost, repair costs, and cost for any other supplies. Whenever I asked for a time estimate on how long it would take to diagnose my laptop or to see what's wrong they can never give me an accurate time. They always say a couple hours or the next day. They told me that they would be able to fix my keyboard in one day once it arrives, and I bring my laptop thinking that I can wait there a couple hours for them to fix it and then they tell me that they can't guarantee that will be done that day. I literally drove all the way home to get a phone call saying that my laptop was ready to pick up! I could had waited if it was only going to take a couple hours oh, but they couldn't tell me. They definitely do not speak the customers language or put them first. I feel like they're more in it for the money then going above and beyond for customers. I've literally wasted hours of driving back and forth just to get my laptop keyboard fixed. When I finally received my laptop, they fixed the problem, BUT added another irrelevant problem! My laptop's battery now isn't being detected by the system and isn't charging and has to be connected to an adapter at all times to function. Now I have to pay another trip to Redmond to fix this new problem! Absolutely more inconvenience on my plate! Don't be surprised if you bring your laptop here and get it back with another problem, because that's what happened to me.

They have knowledgeable staff, and you can expect to get better service than if you went somewhere like Best Buy. Certainly, with the higher quality, you will end up paying more for it. I've purchased computers and parts as well as taken my older devices in to be fixed. They are very clear upfront about the cost, so there are no surprises when you get the bill. In particular, my experience with the service department has been phenomenal! My computer wasn't working, so I took in to get checked out where it was quickly diagnosed as a hard drive failure. The guy I was working with, Pat, worked with me to replace the hard drive, and now my computer is as good as new! When my family purchased a new laptop, Matthew helped my mom figure out the optimal machine for her small business. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and got her laptop all set up for her. She loves it! I'd highly recommend Hard Drives Northwest for the quality they provide.

Had a power issue, which was fixed at no charge. Of course, my previous repair was a power issue and I had asked them about the fan and it had not been fixed last time, so I assume this is why the repair was free. I asked if they were going to tear down the computer, they said yes. I knew that the RAM slots on my computer were split between under the door and under the motherboard, so I wanted to upgrade the RAM because they were taking the computer apart anyway. I asked for 16 RAM and got a quote, and approved the repair. I emailed them after a week or so (waiting for RAM to come in) after they confirmed the parts were in. I asked if there was any chance the repair would be done on the same day. I live 25 miles away (and at this point was a loyal customer) and I was going into town that day, and was just curious about the timeline; it was a Friday and I rely on the computer for work, so I wanted it back. When I got there, the repair was complete, but they explained that they only installed 12GB RAM instead of 16. I brushed it off initially because I was stunned, but came back the next day and asked them to fix it. The person I spoke to said that their "boss" would not be happy with fixing the problem that they created, and told me to call back later. On Monday, I get an email where they refused to either refund the money I paid them for 16 GB of RAM, and refused to fix the problem. Finally, I had to go into bitch mode (after being a courteous and patient customer) and write an email explaining that if they had just asked me for more information before ordering the RAM, this problem could have been prevented, and offered to pay the $100 price difference in RAM and pay for the service of installing it. Well, the "boss" was happy with this, and allowed me to pay them more money to install RAM that should have been right the first time. Not only that, when I checked the price of 4 Crucial sticks on the Crucial website, the cost was $178, not the $250 I paid them for the RAM installation. Who ever runs this place is a jerk, and doesn't stand behind their work. Since they installed the RAM, my computer has had a shitload of problems. I can't even do a restart because when I do, the BIOS screen cycles over and over. I can't update Windows. There are issues with the Graphics card not updating certain pixels on screen. They FUCKED up my computer. Do not patronize this store. I wanted to come here and invest in a local Redmond small business, because I think that's important. But now, I'm just enraged. Do NOT give them your computer, time, or money. read more

This place is awesome, my 10 year old PC stopped working about a month ago so searched for someplace local I could have take a look at what the problem was. Turned out my Mother Board and CPU were toast and most of my other working components were also 10+ years old and we agreed it was a waste of money to repair it. At this point I owed them nothing but he thought there was a great chance of transferring my Data off the old Hard Drive but couldn't promise anything yet. I told Doc I was going to buy a new PC already built somewhere else and he offered his opinion on what I purchased somewhere else. Still my bill was nothing when a week later I brought in the new PC in the box it was shipped in to see if he and his staff could pull my old data of my old PC's Hard Drive and could I get the old Power Supply, Ram Sticks and Graphics Card that still sells for almost $300.00. They called me back about 3 hours later and said the transfer worked fine and I could pick up my new PC. They removed inner packaging then made sure all the Drivers on my new PC were installed and updated and put back in the box. They also put both the Ram and the Graphic Card were in anti-static bags and recycled the remainder of my old hardware all this cost me only $130.00. Jesse and James will earn my business if I have need for repair with any of my laptops or PC. I was first recommended by an associate that there is a PC shop in downtown Redmond, WA that can tackle most any issue with a PC, both software and hardware related. I had an issue with my $2,000 laptop not charging. After calling Dr PC Fix and speaking with James, he encouraged me to bring in my laptop to him as they work on a 'first come first served basis' and he had about a dozen repairs ahead of me. I was able to bring in my machine a couple hours later and dropped it off. I received a call later that afternoon that the power jack center pin was missing and they needed to get a new Power Jack to solder onto the motherboard ($100 fix plus $10 for the DC Power Jack). It would take a couple days to get the part and they should have it repaired the same or following day after receiving the part. I received emails with updates on the repair process as well as a phone call that it was ready to pick up just 3 days after dropping off my laptop. BTW, they have a 'No-Fix, No-Pay' Guarantee, If they didn't fix the problem, or if it's not fixable, you'll get a refund or won't be charged in the first place. I took my laptop in to replace a faulty sound card. It was creating internal noise that was interfering with the ability to have a clean sound for my vocal recordings in my home studio. He informed me that each laptop has its own unique sound card and that he would be installing the same sound card and from that point we would just be gambling with my money. He told me he referred another customer, who has a home studio, to Guitar Center which was just down the street in Redmond Town Center. I thanked him for his time, went to Guitar Center where they solved the problem! Since this is a review for Dr PC Fix, I'll write a glowing review for Guitar Center elsewhere. Dr PC Fix was knowledgeable, friendly and patient and most importantly, not afraid to lose my business; he lead me to a solution. James and the crew at Dr. PC Fix are really amazing. They're very skilled, knowledgeable and (perhaps most important) honest. I came in with an old PC that was acting up and James and the team quickly figured out the problem and worked with me to find the best solution. In the end, I needed a new computer. Here's the important part of the story--they could easily have up-sold me on more computer than I needed. That thought never even crossed their minds. I was treated with respect, they knew what I needed better than I did and helped me get back up and running in no time. I brought my computer into these guys and they tried to fix my computer. We thought it was good but found out it still had problems. They offered to refund my money or if I wanted to buy a refurbished one from them they would put the money towards that one, They transferred all my stuff over to that computer and did some other things for free to get it up to the speed my computer had before it decided to die. They have been very helpful. They always respond to my questions and I now they have me for a customer. I used to go to Best Buy but no longer. They do everything right there with a quick turn around and they care about their customers. I have no problems recommending these guys and I like to support local businesses. read more

My computer has totally died. Dr. PC said come in at anytime. Did so and the next day gave us a the results of his free evaluation. The computer needed to be replaced, and when I asked what is a good model for my needs, he recommenced one and also the least expensive place to get it. And for like 100.00 bux, he transferred all of our programs, iTunes (over 3000 songs) tax records etc. He also told us that if we had any troubles doing the set-up, just give him a call. The total time sequence was from the time of my initial phone call to being up and running was 2 and one half days I never give recommendations, but in this case am proud to do so. I know he will do a great job in a timely fashion. read more

Faced with the possibility of losing all of the data on my hard drive I went to Geek squad and Office Depot only to leave after talking with their "Tech" people who appeared to know little more about solving the problem than I did. I went to Dr. PC Fix which I had passed for months on my way to the office. I told them the problem and we discussed several scenarios. I had confidence that if something could be done, they knew the steps to achieve success. They did and they were able to recover most of my data and set up a new system to help avoid problems in the future. It was like having in in-house Tech person whom I could have confidence in. After researching for more than 3 months with the prices/configuration from all the internet based custom desktop business(xoticpc, origin etc) I decided to build a PC by myself. I had a problem with my laptop power connection and had contacted a number of shops in the area with unsatisfactory results and prices that I felt were too high. I finally tried Dr Pc Fix. They got back to me quickly, answered my questions, and quoted me a price that I thought was reasonable. They fixed my problem quickly and charged me a price that was 1/3 to 1/4 of the other places I had tried. Absolutely the best PC Repair I've ever been to. They don't charge you until they know what's wrong with your computer (and they won't charge you if they can't fix it), which is such a great concept that not a lot of PC repair shops offer. You can tell that they care about the work they are doing, and that they care about their customers. They saved my laptop within a couple of business days--a laptop that I thought was past repair--for a lower price than I was expecting. "Dr.PC Fixit" provides outstanding service! Not only was James very quick, extremely knowledgeable and extremely responsive about my issue, he is very honest and did not try to sell me any unnecessary repairs or solutions. He did not charge me for the analysis of my PC problem, and offered me a simple, cost-effective solution - an external keyboard to use with my laptop. Patient, very competent service. Highly recommend. I was frantic! Company coming next day for a week, 4th of July holiday, home business to get done before everything started & our computer died. Well, it was 9 yrs old, so not a great surprise, just terrible timing & our external drive had only backed up a portion of what was needed. My experience really was as good as it gets. Jesse and Co. fixed my laptop. They explained exactly what needed to be done, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. There were no surprises. The work was done more quickly than anticipated, and they even cleaned the thing. Runs like a top and looks like new. Before I called them, I thought I was going to have to buy a new machine, so I'm very, very, very pleased. Don't hesitate if you have to leave a message. Stopped by to see if I could get some help figuring out a weird fan problem I was having with my Dell All-In-One. Doc listened patiently to the symptoms and what I'd tried so far and gave me a simple fix to try, at no charge! I went home and it solved the problem immediately. As the machine is almost 5 years old, I'll be looking for a new computer in the very near future, and I'll definitely be enlisting Doc to help with the selection and the transition/transfer of data, etc. Very knowledgeable and great customer service! read more

My laptop wouldn't turn on and I brought it to Dr PC Fix. The service was fantastic. Very respectful, professional and it's clear he knows his way around electronics. I was worried it might be a costly fix, but they didn't charge to get a quote on my repair. It was quick (got it back fully repaired the next day) and much cheaper than I could have imagined. I wasn't too optimistic that my laptop could be restored, but phoned James describing my situation, he said to bring it in anyway as he charges nothing for a diagnoses, got back to me in less than twenty-four hours, confirmed what I expected proposing what options exist, I declined feeling I would be just as well served purchasing a new unit. James charged me nothing for his efforts as promised, made some suggestions as to what and where to buy a replacement. I would definitely look him up for future needs! read more

Dr PC FIx is the absolute BEST!!! He was HIGHLY recommended and then I looked at the reviews and all the great things stated are indeed true! James of Dr. PC Fix was great ! We had a broken hinge on our laptop and the cover was falling off. James said he had fixed this problem numerous times. He got the cover workable by the following day so we could take it home and use it while we waited for the new part to arrive. That was a life saver. When the part arrived and we brought the laptop in for installation - he had it ready the next day. We thought the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

On top of that, this is only 1 of 2 certified places that can repair my Lenovo laptop and I had to drive hours to just pick up and drop off my laptop. They offer shipping, but that's more money out of your pocket for them to use on top of the diagnosis cost, repair costs, and cost for any other supplies. Whenever I asked for a time estimate on how long it would take to diagnose my laptop or to see what's wrong they can never give me an accurate time. They always say a couple hours or the next day. They told me that they would be able to fix my keyboard in one day once it arrives, and I bring my laptop thinking that I can wait there a couple hours for them to fix it and then they tell me that they can't guarantee that will be done that day. I literally drove all the way home to get a phone call saying that my laptop was ready to pick up! I could had waited if it was only going to take a couple hours oh, but they couldn't tell me. They definitely do not speak the customers language or put them first. I feel like they're more in it for the money then going above and beyond for customers. I've literally wasted hours of driving back and forth just to get my laptop keyboard fixed. When I finally received my laptop, they fixed the problem, BUT added another irrelevant problem! My laptop's battery now isn't being detected by the system and isn't charging and has to be connected to an adapter at all times to function. Now I have to pay another trip to Redmond to fix this new problem! Absolutely more inconvenience on my plate! Don't be surprised if you bring your laptop here and get it back with another problem, because that's what happened to me.

They have knowledgeable staff, and you can expect to get better service than if you went somewhere like Best Buy. Certainly, with the higher quality, you will end up paying more for it. I've purchased computers and parts as well as taken my older devices in to be fixed. They are very clear upfront about the cost, so there are no surprises when you get the bill. In particular, my experience with the service department has been phenomenal! My computer wasn't working, so I took in to get checked out where it was quickly diagnosed as a hard drive failure. The guy I was working with, Pat, worked with me to replace the hard drive, and now my computer is as good as new! When my family purchased a new laptop, Matthew helped my mom figure out the optimal machine for her small business. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and got her laptop all set up for her. She loves it! I'd highly recommend Hard Drives Northwest for the quality they provide.

In addition, he suggested that I replace the hard drive in the old computer, so that it would work faster (it was very slow, and I have had the experience that removing all the junk that seeps into a computer over time slows it down). Between cleaning it up and replacing the hard drive, the old one is much much faster. i did not need much to set up the new one. But he did give me several tips on dealing with smaller problems as we talked as he worked. This is the second time I used his services, and I am happy with the results. I've used the Geek Squad and others in the past and they were worse than useless. But not these guys! They were recommended to me by my neighbor, who is a Programmer with a major software company, and boy was he right. My computer crashed and would not reboot. They were able to repair it to the point of booting, and it could be used, but it was really old and definitely past its expiration date, so I reluctantly decided it was time to move to a new computer. They were able to recover all of my data (which I had of course failed to back up for months) and my web bookmarks. Phew! And it cost WAY LESS than I was expecting. I then ran into some issues with my old monitor not working with my new computer, and they helped me figure it out without charging me any extra, even though realistically they should have because this had nothing to do with what I had already paid for. I find the negative reviews baffling -- could it be that they are putting their review in the wrong place? I've seen this happen to a friend of mine who has a small business, and he regularly gets negative ratings from people who thought they were rating a different company with a similar name. Nothing I saw over 3 days of interacting with these guys even remotely resembled the negative comments. Bottom line -- if you have issues with your computer, definitely start here. This is the kind of small, local business we need to support.

First Vibes Value is underwhelming. I'm an electronics…read moreassembler and I former field service technician/electronics repair tech. Their GPUs, PC cards, networking & other peripherals are 5 - 8 generations old, yet they often want the higher end of the average price of those same completed/sold items on eBay. And sure, that's fine, if what you're selling is 100% tested/working, in great condition, cleaned and/or comes with a limited warranty. Instead, lots of items are dirty, scuffed up, damaged, and/or missing critical components. For instance, several of their motherboards were missing IO shields. Bonkers Pricing! 5-6 generation old GPUs (GTX 770, 970, RX 570 etc) were $60 - $125; SCSI cards (only $1 at RE-PC Seattle!) were $14!! By far the worst offender by a long shot was their motherboard section: They had an Asus Prime A320M-A, marked as "tested" and came with stock cooler, plus IO plate. They wanted $100!! This is an entry-level, first-gen AM4 socket (so Ryzen 3/5/7/9 CPUs) however, if you wanted to pair this board with a newer Ryzen 5000 series, for example, it wouldn't just work natively. You have to update the BIOS in the board first, and you'd 100% have to do this Bios update WITH an older Ryzen CPU, which is tricky even for tech savvy gamers. Lastly, this board and other entry level ones like it can be found elsewhere for $40 - $70, and often in way better condition, or with the BIOS update done by previous owner/seller. Other cons Some items have stickers that do say "tested", while others don't have any stickers. You have to just walk to the front and ask. Things are organized in big totes, but it's hit or miss finding parts you need, as the store as a whole is incredibly dirty and dingy, with random fully built systems, speakers/sub woofers, TVs and other electronics randomly placed in between these totes, none of which are ever grouped together. Some of their pre built laptops are up near the front desk, which I'm sure is due to the Kensington locks to prevent theft, but their desktops are everywhere, so if you're looking, your better off calling to ask ahead of time, to ask what they have in stock. Otherwise if you come in on your own, and especially if you're not a tech nerd who knows what to look for, you're absolutely going to have a really tough time finding things. The Pros 1) The staff seem knowledgeable about parts, and the repair they were working on when I walked in was a more challenging board level diagnostic test, which told me they have experience and knowledge in this field. 2) They have TONS of stock, especially in monitors, old hard to find adapters, cards etc. So, if eBay seems like it'll take too long, you'll likely find what ya need here. Repairs They do offer repairs, and I overheard a customer call on the phone and ask the guy working here if he "had updates on his PC they are fixing." The worker did acknowledge the shop did in fact still have it on their bench, but "needed another day or so to give any updates." I worked and managed a repair shop on the Eastside for 4+ years, and based on my experience, when you tell somebody only that you "need more time," it's 99% of the time due to 1 of 2 possibilities: 1) You haven't had time to even look at it; 2) You've run some diagnostics, but it yielded little/no clues as to how it can be fixed. Why transparency matters I think it's critical to communicate with customers and see their problems from their perspective. Instead of just treating them as a work order number, and getting them off the phone as quickly as possible, which is what this shop did. When I ran my shop, I always greeted the customers warmly, often by their first names (as most of them were repeat customers) and just be completely honest with them, even if it's news you may think they don't want to hear. I learned the hard way that if you don't give them information they're paying you for updates on, it often just makes follow up communications much more challenging, and can easily sour business relationships. In summary, this shop has a LOT of potential! They're in an AMAZING location, close to Microsoft and high value real estate, and they have the expertise, but couldn't help but notice the passion and organization was extremely lackluster. And yes, I realize this review focuses heavily on the negatives, but I do this from a lens of constructive criticism for my industry peers, to better improve public assumptions of the consumer tech repair industry, and to improved awareness of the right to repair laws. I hope this helps somebody, whether it's a potential customer, or the owners of this business. Thanks
