This place is the epitome of aesthetic. The vibes are immaculate, lavender coffee is delicious, but soooooo so busy. It's to be expected! Parking on the street was plenty easy too. read more

The music at this place is so unnecessarily loud I don't know how anyone gets anything done there. Disappointing to drive over and realize there's no escaping the noise in this town. read more

Got the smoked brisket hash. Service was good they regularly came by to pick up trash/dishes. I love coming here to study the seating area is comfortable and lighting is great. read more

Loved it! What a beautiful location. Went recently to play cards with some friends. I was able to bring my pup and they got their food really quickly. While I didn't partake it did look delicious! read more

The cutest spot but the drink was horrible! Tasted very artificial!! I'd go for the vibes but not the drinks:(

Communal is the best place to relax/study and get your coffee fix! The espresso is absolutely amazing, I would highly recommend getting the rose vanilla latte Everyone is also super welcoming and friendly! read more

Such a special and beautiful space. Was visiting town with family and needed to work remotely for a day and could not have found a better spot. Delicious drinks and a beautiful big space with plenty of seating in the back. Wish I lived closer I would be here everyday. read more

Love this cafe! Super cute with lots of fun stuff for sale. The plants everywhere make for a calming environment. The avocado toast here is one of my faves - the rosemary bread is the perfect touch. The coffee is really good and I love their lavender syrup! The service is great and pretty quick. read more

I love the Communal. It is a comfortable environment with so much to offer. It is open and light with a friendly atmosphere. A lot of seating inside and out. The coffee is wonderful. It is bold but not bitter. I had the salmon and bagel sandwich with has pickled onions and capers. Great mixture of tastes. Plenty of outlets for computer work and so many pretty things to purchase. The flower shop is a refreshing addition, along with the Annex which I understand has classes. I am planning on spending a great deal more time there. It is a welcome addition to this neighborhood. read more

Coffee was amazing. I had the earl grey blueberry latte. I can crave this drink. I had two of them back to back. Blueberry scone was delicious as was the everything bagel. Staff was super chill and very friendly, even remembered me and what I got the previous day. Absolutely love this place. read more

False advertising on business hours. I got there at 7pm and it was closed. There were two girls inside did even look up. Very disappointed.

Beautiful space! The coffee was delicious and oh so pretty. The service was so great. They were so kind and the shop was so clean.

If you're in the area, definitely come here. The music was a little strange, but the space is very chic and the baristas are so sweet, they give the best recommendations. On top of it all the coffee is extremely good!! I was in a rush to go back home so I didn't get any pictures and get any food. I'm not sure I can even come back because of the distance, but if I'm in the area I definitely will be! read more

Calming and open area with lots to look at. The coffee and food selections were quite good and the service was excellent with them going as far as wrapping my items and blacking out the prices! read more

Very very very slow customer service, long lines and wait times for simple coffee. Might be because it's more concern about be pretentious then actually servicing customers or because it's run by a large number of teenagers. Also doesn't take cash. read more

Love love love this place! They have a seasonal lemon almond latte..I hope they keep that on the menu! So delicious. I love the decor and the little shop they have there. Dog friendly! read more

I can't say enough good things about communal, it's a super unique spot with delicious coffee and friendly people. I'm also always really impressed with their food. I eat their Pancetta hash or salted maple sandwich at least once a week for breakfast, even their pizza is great for dinner. They also serve alcohol which is a plus. Communal literally has it all and you can tell so much love and care goes into this biz. read more

Great atmosphere, good food and lots of delicious coffee options. There is always a lot of people sitting around doing work on their laptops so not much seating inside every time I go but there's a nice outside area. Dog friendly. One of my favorites breakfast spots for sure! read more

Ambiance great. Gluten free breakfast sandwich yummy and cafe mocha ok. Mocha could be better. Wish they have other add ins like collagen

I ordered a gingerbread maple latte with oat milk. I love getting gingerbread lattes in the winter, and this one did not disappoint. I loved the gingerbread flavor in this latte. It was like I was eating a gingerbread cookie and that made me so happy. The staff was also very friendly! read more

I came here today and got a regular latte (8oz?) and turkey-pesto "sandwich". My total my $19.28. W h a t. My $12.50 "sandwich" was on an English muffin. It was good, but I was still hungry after I finished. The prices here an eggin joke. I guess people are seduced by the desert-chic interior. I can't believe prices have gotten this bad. Utterly ridiculous. read more

First and foremost I want to say don't let the aesthetics of this coffee shop fool you. I recently visited this place over the weekend with my sisters and felt very uncomfortable. From what I would have thought would be a lovely coffee date with the gals turned into such a horrible experience . If I could give zero stars I would have ! There was one employee who took my order I forgot to get his name but he was very nice when placing my order. Although following that me and my sisters were constantly being stared down as if we weren't welcome . Yes we are paying customers & bought coffee / food. Throughout our time there employees were very unwelcoming as if they did not want to serve us . Yes we were a party of 14 but kept our areas very tidy & in no way did we disturb others. In fact customers came up to us admiring that we were getting together and thought it was cool. We did exchange gifts there but made sure to clean afterwards. If your from oside you know how oside gets down . Everyone's friendly and welcoming . This place was far from it . I will not be returning !!! read more

Every time we come i absolutely love this coffee n atmosphere. I've tried other coffees n they do not compare. Their seasonal blueberry earl grey latte is to die for. (Sadly they've been out of the syrup for good reason). All food is yummy and service is great! Everyone is really nice & efficient. Would 10/10 this spot over others in Oceanside. read more

Communal Coffee - iced vanilla latte & ham & cheese croissant - Cafes Near Me - Oceanside, California

The service and ambiance is great love love the coffee and and food and don't forget their pastries we definitely keep coming back

Very cute interior but that's about it. I got a cinnamon roll (warmed) and everything bagel with cream cheese. The cinnamon roll was good no complaints but the bagel was not good. First of all, it took around 20 minutes be served, which is surprising to me because all I got was a bagel with cream cheese. Also, the cream cheese was $2 extra and they barely gave me any, like there wasn't even spread across the whole bagel. I wish I had taken a picture but it was very disappointing and not worth $2. As for the actual bagel, it was also not worth its cost ($4). Very thin bagel, ashy taste and burnt edges. Hopefully the other menu items are better but this was definitely disappointing. Props for the interior design and nice staff though. read more

I enjoyed the location, service and the sweet vibe ! I am looking forward hanging out there more often

Coffee is yummy & I like the atmosphere. It's a little pricey but you know it's a trendy coffee shop. Last time I was there it was so crowded, there was nowhere to sit. But other than that it's a cute place! read more

I was looking for a cute place to take my friends from out of town. This place is super cute, and I had Vanilla Bean Latte, and it was the BEST!! I also tried their toast; the presentation and the taste were excellent. The only thing is that they don't have their designated parking space, so it was a little challenging to find parking, but it's worth it! I highly recommend it! read more

Great ambiance and vibes. Service was great and coffee was amazing. I ordered a salted caramel latte and a gluten free bagel. Best bagel I've ever had as a gluten intolerant person. My friend got a regular bagel and the hazelnut brown sugar latte. She cannot stop raving about it. Love this place! read more

How freaking cute is this place?!! Never would have found it if it weren't for my colleague suggesting we meet there to brainstorm over coffee. And the coffee is Absolutely delish!! The ambiance is amazing in this place - it's like being in Venice with the open barn windows, bohemian vibe and the people watching - that was a bonus! I had the turkey pesto sandwich without cheese and a vanilla bean latte - sandwich was tasty and the coffee was really good - just wish it was hotter - it was served Luke warm and I heard another woman next to me say here's wasn't hot enough either. If you need to work outside the house - this place has Wi-Fi and loads of seating and power outlets (bonus!) and then outside there is a whole patio as well. And I loved that they have a QR code you can scan to place your order and they'll bring it to you! We stayed there so long we got hungry again and I had a Cesar salad... it was ok - croutons were fresh but it was super small and overpriced. My colleague had a pizza and said it was great. Turns out they also serve alcohol so may come back for a working happy hour another day. Oh and the staff was super friendly and efficient! read more

My best friend and I came here for a brunch date. Love the aesthetics of this cafe! It's pretty and welcoming. It's pretty big. They have plenty of seating. You order first at the counter and then your food will be brought out to you. My best friend ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches, don't remember which one but I do remember her enjoying it. I ordered the Ginger Mediterranean Bowl. It had cucumbers, red onions, tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, and a delicious sesame ginger dressing. For a few bucks extra you could add some boiled eggs or couscous but I left it as it was. Not only did I enjoy it but I also felt clean and healthy eating this. We also ordered some sort of berry kombucha they had on tap. Excellent kombucha! This place is dog friendly, I saw some people bring in their doggies. The beach is not far from here so you could certainly enjoy a nice beach walk after visiting Communal :) read more

If you want the worlds best breakfast sandwich and coffee drink come to Oceanside's hidden gem Communal coffee. Part of the Treemont collective this corner location provides a great atmosphere, sunlit space, outside /inside, chill vibe with an ocean breeze and fresh eats. The kitchen staff present incredible visually pleasing plates and tasty too!! We have had breakfast lunch and dinner here, and keep coming back for something new. We have brought family from all over the world to enjoy the atmosphere and food this place provides. The staff is super friendly and helpful , and the cooks are the best!! The food comes out looking beautiful, and oh so tasty, you can tell they do a lot in house with ultra fresh healthy ingredients. read more
