I fully expected no one to show up considering I just clicked on, but whole Terry showed up 45 min later. Nice! Dude reset my modem and ran some diagnostics and after an 1+ - all was well. 5 stars for Terry. 1 star for Xfinity. I'm a half step from moving to Verizon.

I had no idea what this new cable was, so he spent time explaining and showing us a few pointers to make sure we understood the software. It's like a no contract, no fee, amazing cable company that has even higher quality imaging. Plus virtually unlimited DVR space (Hello binge watching!) It is hard to find a starting point on how bad the "Customer Service" and "Tech Support" really is…read more I've been using the Verizon FiOS Internet service (started at 1Gbps and now at 2.5Gbps) for over 4 years now. While it is working, it is great. But the minute something stops working, your phone service vanishes, you can't connect to the Internet to get your Customer Account Number. When I call in to get Customer Support, the AI asks me for my phone number. When I type it in and verify it is my number, the AI is unable to find my account. I have to wind up going through the menu to talk to a live person. The accent of most of the Tech Support people makes it hard to understand them. I have been around the world and I know some accents are harder to understand than others. 99% of the time, the "techs" you speak to sound like they are reading from a script. Especially the Tier I techs. When you have to go further up the chain, techs tend to work on your level. I try to advise whomever picks up my call that I am an IT Specialist and I prefer to have things explained to me as a fellow technical guru. Most of the time you get a Tier I tech, their goal is to get through as many calls as they can in a day. They have to stick to a Service Level Agreement that isn't very efficient, as they more often than not wind up having to get a more Senior tech on the call to troubleshoot further. Most Call Centers' Tier I staff have an SLA of at least 4 calls per hour, averaging between 32-40 calls a day. They don't get a whole lot of time to dig into a problem, as they need to worry about their time to move on to the next call. This is why they tend to work from a script. I know this from personal experience. When I was working at a Call Center, I averaged 125 calls per day at my prime. So I know the pressure. But when I have to go from call to call and reapeat what I stated to the previous person over and over, without the new person having notes available from the previous person at their fingertips. This is very inefficient. This is why I refuse to have Verizon as my mobile carrier. If there was another Fiber Optic provider in my area, I'd use them over Verizon. If I could give Verizon negative stars, I would. They always wind up leaving a really bad taste in my mouth.

Today 7/14/2026 was no different, I saw David I believe is the in store rep outside and asked him could he help me after his lunch and he said yes. Needless to say DAVID saved the day! What I was unable to get done on the phone thru AT&T first net David took the time and fixed the problem. I can't remember their names but there were 2 others reps there (male and female both with dreads) who were equally just as pleasant and we had a great conversation about movies. The manager was not hovering over the employees but actually allowing them to do their jobs which is always a god look. I've paid the same low price for almost a decade, and on the rare occasions I've called for tech support, a helpful human answered immediately and resolved my issue. One experience in particular prompted this review: my router went out on a Saturday night, and I fully expected to wait until Monday for help. Instead, I reached someone around midnight who helped troubleshoot the issue. Even more remarkable, a skilled and kind technician--who had originally installed my internet years earlier--came first thing Sunday morning to replace the router. Consumer Warning: Do Not Hire FixTman LLC (Washington, D.C.)…read more I would strongly caution anyone against hiring FixTman LLC for TV mounting or installation services. I hired this company through a referral from BJ's Wholesale Club, expecting professional installation. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The technician arrived and spent 4 hours mounting my TV. Less than 10 minutes after he left, the TV fell completely out of the wall. After I contacted the company, the technician returned with his father and reinstalled it. That should have been the first red flag. The TV was installed in September 2025. In April 2026, the TV fell out of the wall again -- this time causing serious damage: * Destroyed my TV * Damaged my wall / sheetrock * Left me with additional repair costs I contacted FixTman LLC again, and their response was that they would do nothing because it had been more than 30 days. To make matters worse, Thumbtack Quality Assurance also stepped in and tried to help resolve the issue on my behalf. They contacted FixTman LLC directly, only to be told the exact same thing -- that I only had 30 days and they would not take responsibility. Let that sink in. A properly mounted TV should not fall out of a wall -- not once, and definitely not twice. This was not normal wear and tear. This was poor workmanship, improper installation, and a complete lack of accountability. In over 40 years, I have never seen anything like this. Please do your research before hiring this company. I will also be reporting this experience to BJ's Wholesale Club, since they referred them. I appreciate the role which FixT serves, but with Yelp as the solicitation platform, it admittedly seems like another unnecessary middleman to go through them. The contractors did miss some minor things with our playground assembly, and unfortunately the price came in higher (without notification), despite my providing the exact model and steps required for assembly at the time of soliciting. The insurability and lack of comprehensive quality guarantees is a little off putting in the end, as even other entities that exclusively use "independent contractors" such as uber, still have additional protections in place for the end customer. Overall, they were good, not perfect. The process was wonky, but worked (for the most part) in the end. I just would prefer to go directly to the contractors in the future.
