In fact, after going to the nearby Verizon store first today, I was told to either buy a wireless charger (which wouldn't work as I have something glued to the back of my phone case) or just buy a new phone (a prong from my charger broke off inside the charging port, leaving me unable to listen to music [I hate AirPods, plus I connect my phone to my car's sound system]). I drove across the street, and they were able to fix it within 10 minutes. Along with the cleaning and getting a new protective glass installed, it set me back a whole $35. Also, the service has been friendly - dare I say outstanding - on each of my visits. TLDR: the employees at Verizon and other such stores are primarily salesmen. They want you to buy something, and they aren't super well versed in how their products actually work. The guys at Super Smart phones have YEARS of expertise, can fix nearly everything, are great with customers, and have extremely reasonable prices. The only drawback is it's a little hard to find. A small store with accessories (covers, chargers mostly) & some refurbished phones for sale-but it's all about the repairs. I was quoted $129 to replace my iPhone screen. 30-40 minutes for the work. I opted to leave. When I returned my phone was not ready as the Technician noticed my battery was swollen and recommended replacing it. "No thanks as I'm not going to keep this phone much longer." I looked at their price list and noticed there was a budget screen for $95. Ok I'll go with that one instead. Would have been good to mention this in the beginning. Also a 10% discount is available with Yelp check in-didn't see this til after. Service was good and engaging overall with some good information about the repair, etc. My phone is back to pre Light Saber state. Only recommendation would be to give all of the options upfront. I have been a customer for wireless and home services for over 40 years. Something happened to my…read moredata in March that would not allow me to receive calls from anyone not in my contacts. I followed the troubleshooting corrections but it did not correct the problem. Hours upon hours were spent with the tech support teams. It was so bad I could not even get a call from ATT when the tech called me back after being disconnected during repair attempts. I finally gave them my husbands number for them to call me on. I believe it started after I was prompted to use their Call Protect feature that was designed to eliminate spam calls. They would not confirm, nor deny this. I had 5 lines and was paying nearly $300 a month. I left ATT when I could not get the problem resolved. Their problem costs me a new phone plus 6 months of frustration. Today I called to request a copy of my bill because online is not available since the account is closed. They could not even provide this. I was told to go into a store. What has happened to customer service? I switched to T-Mobile and the service and savings are superior by far. If you have call protect and you discover people are unable to reach you, I recommend you take action to protect your data. It has been a mess and I do not recommend ATT to anyone.

On February 20th, I called and was informed that the screen could not be replaced after trying 3 LCD screens and that they were looking at alternative options. On February 29th, I called and was informed that my iPad had been sent to an Apple representative to be fixed and it would take a week to return. On March 11th, I called and was given the option to "upgrade" to a newer model iPad Air, iPad Pro (which cost more), or wait until an iPad mini 4 came available as a replacement. Because I had already paid $150, I was told that I would only be charged another $120 cash to upgrade to the iPad Air. They ordered it. When I arrived at the store, I noticed that the Mobile Experience tried to sell me a 32gb iPad which wasn't comparable to the iPad Mini 4 128gb model that I gave them to be repaired. Once I brought it to their attention, they ordered a replacement iPad Air 128gb. I was informed that it was an upgrade to the iPad Mini 4 (released 2015) that I had when in fact I received an iPad Air (released 2013) on March 17th which is a much slower model and has charging defects. This replacement is unacceptable and false advertisement as the representative, Mark, assured me that I was receiving an upgrade and could order any case that said iPad Air or 5th generation model. Throughout this month long process, the customer service experience has been terrible. I had to call to check on my services only receiving one phone call in a month (today March 17th) informing me that my iPad had arrived. On top of that, the used model I received isn't valued at $270 the total I paid. This is poor business practices and totally unacceptable. When I cancelled with a form that I have to fill out, there was no acknowledgement. They still debited my bank account. They argued that there was a 3 days cancellation policy; this 3 months after my 3 year contract has ended. I have to yell for them to promise a refund for only 1 month. I am holding my breath. If this goes on, I will take them to court.
