Initial Communication: Before settling on N & D for my home security system, I did tons of research, including research into all the big home security companies. Unlike other companies, N & D Security does not lock you into a long-term contract, nor did they try to upsell me on products and services that were beyond the scope of my needs. Rather, Perry readily identified what would likely make sense for my home, asked incisive and poignant questions about my home security needs, and carefully listened to and thoughtfully answered all my questions. He then diligently followed up with a recommended package for my home. Perry's attention to detail, follow-up communications, and responsiveness was impeccable. And I was all the more impressed given the fact that N & D is a small team that essentially operates as a family-owned business. Installation: The installation could not have been more seamless. John, Darren, and David arrived promptly. They installed the security system and had me up and running in little to no time. I was thoroughly impressed by the service--the N & D team went above and beyond anything I could have expected. For example, in addition to setting up my home security system, Darren helped set up our doorbell camera and even attempted to help install smart locks throughout my home. Upon the immediate completion of the installation, John carefully explained how the system operates, patiently answered all my questions, and even gave me his personal number in the event I had any additional questions. After Installation: After completing the installation, Perry checked in again to ensure that all our needs were handled and that our system was up and running. In addition, the N & D team was incredibly diligent in completing additional follow up work I had requested. In sum, if you are looking for a top-notch home security system, N & D is a no brainer. They are a pleasure to work with and I can genuinely say that choosing them for our home security needs was one of the easiest decisions I've made.

I hired Monica in December 2024 to install: 28 security cameras A sound intercom system with 18 speakers 5 access control pads integrated with the fire alarm system As for the security cameras, she agreed to install 28 after reviewing my architectural plans but only installed 16--and did so carelessly. Wires were left hanging, ceiling tiles were damaged with large holes, and I was never given access to the security system, while she retained full access and was apparently monitoring the premises without authorization. The cameras themselves were cheap, low-quality models from Amazon (under $50 each)--completely unsuitable for a commercial setting, despite charging me for a professional setup. I paid her the full contract amount for this portion, and she has yet to complete the job or give me access to recorded footage. Despite paying her half of the contract amount upfront, she never delivered or installed a single access control pad. Even worse, she had no clue how to connect them to the fire alarm system--something that should have been fundamental to her scope of work. I had to bring in my fire alarm vendor and general contractor to explain to her how to do her own job. Still, nothing got done. Regarding the sound intercom system, she was supposed to install 18 ceiling-mounted speakers. Instead, she purchased cheap desktop speakers (less than $30 each) from Amazon, dumped them on the floor, and suggested installing wall shelves to mount them near the ceiling--completely unprofessional and unusable for a public facility. Meanwhile, she continued demanding more money and delayed my entire project by over five months--from December 2024 to May 2025--causing serious disruption and financial loss. To make matters worse, she repeatedly entered the property without my knowledge or permission, even after I explicitly told her not to. She frequently asked the building's front desk for access, showing a complete lack of respect for boundaries and professionalism. Monica Escala has shown a complete lack of expertise, ethics, and professionalism. She overpromises, underdelivers, delays critical projects, uses substandard materials, and ignores basic contractual obligations. In my experience, this was nothing short of a scam.

I did not want to have to make changes to my house. I wanted to get a system that was compatible with my current set up. He gave me his advice and I ordered a Rheem 36kw tank-less water heater as instructed. He installed it and the next day it blew a fuse. Ok, no biggie. A few days later, it cut off again and would not turn back on. Called in an electrician and it turns out that the plumber didn't know what he was talking about. The fuse in my disconnet box blew because he hooked up the water heater's electrical components dangerously incorrect. The Rheeem he suggested requires 4 double 40 breakers to power it. He hooked it up to 1 double 30 breaker. Of course the system was too strong for the breaker and the wiring. I'm grateful my house didn't catch on fire but now I need to changed the breakers, upgrade wiring, and add additional disconnects to work the system properly. F that plumber. I paid him to avoid this. Enter Mister Electrical to the rescue. The tech came out. He was professional and extremely respectful of my home, even took extra time to make sure he didn't leave a spot behind him. After examining the set up and talking with his senior, the tech said they would take some time to make sure they get it right. He didn't want to give me any misleading information. The Senior plumber, being made aware of my situation, took a few days to go over the manual and my set up to find the best course of action for my problem. After a few days, he came up with a solution to hook it up to 2 double 60 amp breakers and to run it at a lower setting (the normal power settings were far beyond what I could ever use... damn plumber). At the end of the day, I appreciate how Mister Electric took the time to find the best solution to my specific problem. They were always respectful of my home and money. They could have rightfully charged me $5000 to hook it up like the manual basic instruction. But they took the time and effort to learn the system and find a way to save me over $3000 dollars. Integrity is priceless. Call Mister Electrical now.

I found this company on Angie's List and immediately called them as I loved the fact that they showcased their work well, portraying every completed job. Besides, it felt good to support a small black company. I was thoroughly pleased with the work that they completed for me initially. They were professional, neat, and very knowledgeabl, so much so, that I patroned them again, to install additional items. However, I called them a third time to install an electronic heater. The installation was accomplished while I was at work. Once I arrived and inspected their work, I immediately realized a dent in my heater and damage to my wall. I turned the heater on and it began making a loud banging noise. Without judgement, I sent them a text message informing of the wall damage (which I stated was not a big deal), the noise, and requesting that they stop by to diagnose the noise. They never responded to my text messages. After 48 hours of no response, I attempted to call them. My calls went straight to voice mail. I left couple of voice mail messages, to receive no response. At that point, I began feeling very sad and disappointed, and of course suspicious. I then called the other number listed on their business card and finally spoke to someone. Needless to say, the gentleman was very short and curt, stating that he didn't notice a dent in the heater and couldn't verify any noise, as they simply installed equipment and do not turn them on. I couldn't believe his response, because the TV that he had initially installed for me, was tested by turning it on and tuning it in. The home theatre that they installed was also indeed tested by turning on as well! My heart was broken because the heater costs $500+ I've served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, and one of our core values integrity first is ingrained in me, thus I wish that they had acted with integrity, considering I was a repeat customer and did not approach them unkindly. They could've been more professional and much kinder. The fact that they ignored my messsges and phone calls, denied obvious damages and the unusual noise, led me to bear suspicion that they are responsible for my broken heater, not to mention the damage done to my wall. I wanted to leave this feedback so other patrons can proceed with caution when soliciting this company's business. While I'm hurt and left with a broken $500. heater, I still wish them good luck in their business. Thank you. read more

Outstanding customer service from start to finish. Contacted them after hours on a Saturday, received a call back within the hour. Discussed services, availibilty and pricing (very reasonable and accommodating). Once my household goods were delivered on Tuesday, they were there Wednesday evening to mount a 55" TV (full motion bracket; they hid the cords and connected all the audio) and 75" mirror in my dining room. They included me in the installation process to ensure the positioning and labor was to my satisfaction. They were prompt and on time in every aspect of the experience. I have to admit I was nervous to get this done because I didn't want to see wires hanging from the TV and I didn't want my wall torn up trying to hide the wires. He spent an additional 40 minutes checking the cable wires, troubleshooting and even went outside to check the wires. I called Jason just after looking up well-reviewed DC contractors on Yelp. In short, another contractor has been in default of my contract with him and has not delivered on a very large and expensive project. After getting fed up I looked into my legal options and also other contractors to finish the work I've started. Despite my calling him totally unsolicited on a Friday evening, Jason talked with me for nearly a half hour about the multitude of options available to me to protect myself against this contractor, how to press him into action, how to ensure he gets the work done, and much more. I cannot express how much he put my mind at ease compared to the way I'd been feeling just a few minutes before our call. These rooms, along with the speakers on the deck are tied into a single receiver. Using the Sonos app, I can pick and choose where I want my music from my phone to play! Best part is that each subcomponent of the Sonos system connects to your home Wi-Fi. Now I'm no longer hoping that the Bluetooth signal will reach the back patio when we're hanging out on the deck. I knew the exact price up front. They scheduled me a couple weeks out and showed up exactly when they said they would. All 3 guys knew what they were doing and I enjoyed conversation with each one of them. I was replacing a 50" smart tv mounted on a stand, receiver and speakers, with a 55" android tv with a soundbar, and wanted all the cords concealed. DVon responded with a quote and was at my home within an hour. It seemed to take no time at all and my new A/V setup was complete. He also hung around and assisted while I went through the set up steps. I could NOT be happier with how the experience turned out. I had put all the info (project, address, etc) on Yelp, but all the other companies that responded wanted to "schedule a consultation" (for what?). Will was the *only* one who just responded immediately with a reasonable quote. At the house, Will was quick, polite, and seemed like a nice guy. Now I'm thinking of any other long-overdue electrical projects that I can have him take a look at.
