Perfect grab and go! Fast service and super friendly. The portions are huge and very tasty. The only con, is the parking at this location can be a bit congested, but that's minor.

$11 com tam thit nuong bi cha

Bought 2 portions com tam thit nuong bi cha and com tam suon bi cha for my dad and I. Each com tam cost $11 and portion size was decent for $11. I ate the com thit nuong while also trying some of the suon from my dad. The pickled veggies were fresh, I like that theres crispy pork fat, the bi n cha was good, but unfortunately the main course miss the mark. The nuoc mam is the thicker type sauce, so it's saltier and more concentrated, which We don't like. We prefer the normal nuoc mam. We both agree that both com tam was ok..., nothing special, both the suon and thit nuong was dry, especially the suon. The flavor/seasoning for the thit nuong was kind of bland and needs some more fat in it so it wont be dry/lean. Out of all the com tam places we have eaten in Oc, we have to say Com tam Sister is ranked last. I don't see us returning, so it's a one and done.

This place is takeout only, The menu is simple, offering only three types of dishes: cơm tấm, bún, and bánh tấm bì. As for food quality, it's good but the dishes can sometimes be cold, as they appear to be precooked and packaged when ordered. Prices are reasonable and affordable, and the portions are generous with a good mix of everything and plenty of meat. The service is friendly and great, although the interior is minimal, just a table for orders, the menu, and ready to go food. Parking can be tricky since it's in a small complex next to a popular spot. Overall: great food, great prices, and great service!

Parking situation - 2 reserved spots only available tucked in the small strip. So be prepared to find street parking on weekends and walk on over. Prep time is incredibly fast when there isn't a line. Food taste - 5/5 Portions 5/5 Justified Cost 5/5 11 dollars for quick take out can't render any complaints.

Parking can be chaotic when the plaza is busy due to the tofu store. There are 2 assigned parking for Com Tam Sister at the front of the store. No tables, strictly order to go. When I arrived there was 1 customer but afterwards alot of people were trinkling in and out. If you get the com tam (broken rice with pork steam egg and shredded pork, 1st item on menu), it comes out pretty fast because it's the main item people order. You can add a fried egg (opla). There's the bun (vermicelli noodle) with pork and eggroll (2nd item on menu) and the 3rd bun dish has a coconut sauce, 1 pork skewer, ground pork shrimp and herbs/lettuce (3rd item on menu). You pour the coconut sauce on the noodles but if you don't like coconut, just use the fish sauce. They have the eggrolls that look like it's wrapped and fried noodles. If you order that, it's a little wait cuz they make to order. Not sure if they take credit card cuz I paid with cash, almost everyone I saw paid with cash. The gentleman in the front spoke mostly vietnamese to me but don't let that deter you from trying this place, use the translation app if all fails. I would definitely return here and try the other items.

This place is a to-go only shop. I ordered the com tam, which came with two large pork pieces with rice and a small side of veggies. The portions are pretty big so my husband and I split one. I really enjoyed the flavor and sauce they used for the pork! The meat itself was pretty good, not super juicy but not dry either and it comes with fish sauce. The food also came out super fast! There's a small parking lot for pick up.

If you're a fan of Vietnamese food, this place is a must-try--especially for their cơm tấm (broken rice). The rice itself is perfectly cooked, soft and fragrant, and pairs incredibly well with their grilled meats. The pork chop was juicy, flavorful, and had that slightly smoky, caramelized finish that makes it unforgettable. The shredded pork skin and egg meatloaf added great texture, and everything came together with a generous drizzle of fish sauce that tied the whole plate together. Only $11 and they dont even charge tax. Cant find that deal any where these days in this economy.

Wow $11 com tam suon bi cha! That's a great deal! Probably the most affordable com tam in OC! The place is for to-go only. Food came out really quick like within seconds lol. Very big portion. I was full with half portion and saved half for the next day. Tasted a little sweet, but overall decent com tam and amazing price!

This place popped up when looking for food on yelp and it looked good so we gave it a try. It seems to be family owned, one of the employees or perhaps it was the owner, even opened the door for us upon arrival and was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious!! I can't say that I know what an authentic Vietnamese home cooked meal tastes like, but this is what I picture it to be like. All this great food and it's only eleven dollars in THIS economy???? Girl, if this place was closer to my house, I would live here hahaha

    Bánh tằm bì

I had heard many recommendations about this place, but I ended up feeling disappointed. Maybe I should have ordered the Cơm Tấm (broken rice) since that's the dish everyone kept mentioning as a must-try. Instead, I ordered the Bánh Tằm Bì for $13. As far as I know, this is a distinct Southern Vietnamese dish, especially popular in the Mekong Delta (Miền Tây). However, both the fish sauce (nước mắm) and the coconut cream (nước cốt dừa) were completely off. To me, the flavors were overly salty and lacked balance, missing the authentic taste I was expecting. If I ever return, I'll probably try the Cơm Tấm instead. I also forgot to take a picture of the shredded pork and pig skin (bì), which came packaged separately. Overall, the price was reasonable, but this particular dish didn't taste right or authentic.

The grilled pork is on the sweet side. The noodles mixed with coconut sauce and fish sauce tastes very good
    Ivy H.

Good price!! Good food. Com Tam - Marinated sauce is a bit sweet. The fish sauce for Com Tam is so sticky also on the sweet side. If you don't like sweet, their food might not fit you. Cha Gio is good. Highly recommended!!! Will come back with this. Air fried on next day still tastes crispy. Banh Tam Bi - love this because I like coconut sauce. The fish sauce for this dish is better than Cam Tam one. Oh the grill pork skewer is same taste as the com tam pork chop which on the sweet side. Overall, their price tag is cheap. Good price and quality for food to go.

    Com tam suong bi cha

Heaven on rice but togo only! This gem in OC is tucked away in an awkwardly built plaza. Besides the limited parking and bad drivers coming in and out, this place has to be my top place to get Com tam! At first, I thought $11 for Com tam suong bi cha, it has to be a small portion, semi bland, and mediocre at best for that low of a price. I was so very wrong! 10/10: Com tam suong bi cha You get a generous portion of broken rice, two big pieces of grilled pork chops, steamed egg mixed with meat and mushroom (I think?) and pickled carrots and daikon and fresh slices of cucumber. A decent size cup of sweeten fish sauce (signature sauce pairing for broken rice). $11. My wife got the Banh tam bi and that tasted very good as well. I can't give it a full review because I didn't eat the whole thing but my picky eater wife finished the whole thing. The downside? Location is kind of difficult to get it during high traffic hours and togo only. But everything else is just wonderful!

Com tam thit nuong with eggroll, chip n salsa and a little dessert.

I got all this for $13. I think that's a good price for the amount of food you get. It was pretty good as well. I just had to put the meat and eggroll in the air fryer when I home cuz it wasn't that hot. The meat was a little on the dry side and eggroll was a bit salty. The dipping sauces were good. The dessert was ok. The service was good.

Over all those years, they have never disappointed me and continue to serve really good food. I usually get the beef brisket pho and it's really good. Their dui bo is also very good, but usually runs out after 1:00 or 2:00 pm, since they only have a limited amount of this item every day. The meat is fall off the bone tender and has a more fatty flavor to it. It usually sits in some broth that absorbs that beefy and fatty flavor from the bone. A great addition to any bowl of pho.
