first time ordering from lien hue 3 and i'm so glad i went with this place to cater for my event! they have later hours so i was able to place the order same day before work in the morning and then pick up as soon as i got off. it's a smaller store located inside the same plaza as abc supermarket so it was local and pretty easy to find. the staff were super friendly and quite busy working on orders when i came but i got my order right on time as promised. other vietnamese togo/catering spots that i looked into for banh beo didn't have as much toppings as this place and it tasted so good; definitely a hit at my party (the tray was empty within an hour)! it comes with the toasted shrimp, fried shallots, and scallions on top + chicharrones, fish sauce, and thai chilies on the side. will definitely be back! read more

We catered the lotus salad and pork/mushroom sheets for our annual Christmas party. It was a hit with everyone. The large catering tray was pack with more meat than lotus. There is a bit of a language barrier when trying to place the order over the phone. Be sure to have them repeat the order since she originally kept thinking I was trying to order spring rolls. If you want vietnamese catering, this is the place. If you want to invite all of your friends or family and make it look like you cooked it, this is your place. Service is quick and you can be an english speaker and order with no problems! This is more of a to-go place so don't expect to sit down with a big group. We've gotten the bun bo hue several times here. What's truly nice is you can order your bowls to go and bring your own pot and they will fill it up! Upon walking in, there's ample amount of seating something you'd expect to see in Vietnam and by the counter you'll see already packaged to go foods. The ladies working were really sweet! I decided to dine in and go a bowl of their bun bo hue & it was deelish! It contained pork blood, large beef balls and a HUGE chunk of bone in pork. If you're not familiar with this dish, I promise you'd love it if you need a pho alternative. It is a bit on the "spicier" side compared to an original pho bowl. Items I recommend: banh nam, cha wrapped in banana leaves; grilled pork wrapped in bbq pork; cafe sua da; and everything else steamed and wrapped in banana leaves. Cash only. They will use the glove they take your cash and go back to rolling the banh cuon and banh uot. They use gloves, but they don't change the gloves. I don't have a pic cuz everything is in my stomach, but the fried rice here is ok, I wouldn't get it again though. It is pretty chewy, but the proteins and veggies in here are a little too chunky for me. The flavor is adequate, but nothing that screams "pick me pick me" - I can think of a couple other restaurants that do fantastic fried rice without adding too much additional condiments. 5 thousand stars for their tôm hoả tiễn or "rocket shrimp." Tôm hoả tiễn are shrimp wrapped in a wonton wrapper and deep fried. These are a crowd pleaser each time my family caters it for a party - more fun than your typical egg roll. As for their dine in Huế cuisine - there are better places for this type of food. I sampled the combo platter that has bánh bèo, bánh bột lọc + bánh nậm. I of these, the bánh nậm was the tastiest. The other two were a tad too doughy for my personal liking. I did like the nem nướng cuon (3 for $5!). The nem was pretty substantial in size and had a slight char flavor. This was a very good nem cuon, however the dipping sauce was terrible. It was so watery and tethered somewhere between a peanut sauce and otherwise. What I like about Lien Hue is that you can do a quick meal to taste the goods before committing to any of their party trays. If you're looking for something to spice up your party the next time around, I'd highly recommended trying out their tôm hoả tiễn. read more

Delicious! One of the few places opened on Christmas Day. I got the bun Bo hue which is what they're known for. It came out super quick, and had a very generous portion of meat. When I went to pick up my order, I was able to pay with credit card (physical Apple card accepted). The fresh spring rolls were packaged with significant care, wrapped in layers of plastic wrap and securely placed in an aluminum tray. They were quite fresh and delicious, and everyone at the party liked them. While I was waiting for the lady to package the accompanying sauce, I checked out the other to-go foods they had sitting on a table in the back, as well as the freezers on either side of the restaurant. They have Vietnamese egg rolls for days, along with a bunch of other ingredients and prepared dishes. I got the nem nuong rolls, goi ngo sen, bo la lot, garlic shrimp noodles, Banh bot loc, and fried chicken wings. All for 192$. Everything taste fresh and delicious. The flavors for each dish were on point. The sauce came with it were just right on the saltiness. Everything were nicely package and with enough dipping sauce. They even included fresh Thai chili which I love. Will definitely order from them again. Next time I will try their Bun Bo Huê (bring your own pot for the broth) , and Soup mang cua (which need to order 24hrs beforehand) They even let us use their food cart to transport everything to the car. Recently discovered Lien Hue while searching for party trays. There are several locations but this specific one seemed to have the best reviews. I was surprised to see actual dine in tables within Lien Hue since I thought it was strictly to go. There were a few different trays of to go food available for purchase - decided to get a few different things to try. We ended up selecting 7 different dishes for $52 total. Favorite of the bunch was definitively the egg rolls!! Was not expecting much but it was delicious and a must get. Located inside the same plaza as ABC Supermarket and Banh Mi Che Cali. Food is delicious but I like Ngu Binh more. There are too much color in the bun bo hue, not the organic color. Banh beo was a little chewy, not too soft. I was disappointed by the sauce of the nem nuong, which was supposed to be sweet rice and meat. This was instead peanut sauce. I was looking for a quick bite as I was waiting for my lobsters/crabs at ABC market to be done. If you're planning to dine in you will have to get the prepared food yourself and eat at the table. Combination Fried Rice 3/5 For dining in they got the pre packed fried rice for me I thought they were going to cook me a made to order one but sadly no. It has good amount of BBQ pork and other veggies and Chinese sweet sausage but to be honest have you guys tried the fried rice at ABC seafood to go it was so good. This place is good. I found an awful lot of hair in my food. It was super gross and disgusting. Please wear hair nets or be a little more cleaner. I found 3 total, in all the meals I ate. Fried rice -it was good because they made it fresh. Has good salty flavors and chunks of pork sausage. Salt and pepper shrimp topping. Banh bot Loc (not pictured) -found a big piece of leg or armpit hair stuck in here. The food is good but the hair really grossed me out. Shrimp egg roll -crunchy and has good inside topping.
