Ambience is great and you feel France in the bakery goods! Cute Boston Terrier logo. But they have amazing food that is very light and not salty and fluffy and has wonderful buttery flavors. The ambience is very cute and they allow dogs that are not just service dogs. The community and area is beautiful and the neighborhood is friendly and the homes in this area of South Boston are so amazing with their old historical charm.

Colette has impressed me on multiple occasions. The jambon beurre is simple and done right, good ham, real butter, crusty baguette. Croissants are properly flaky and buttery. The canelé has a perfect custardy center with a caramelized shell, and the passionfruit tarte is bright and tart without being cloying. Coffee's just okay, but the baked goods make it worth a visit.

I stopped by Colette Bakery in the South End just minutes before closing. The staff was already in the process of cleaning up, but I was still served and didn't feel rushed, which I appreciated. The space is quite small, with only a few spots to sit, so I can imagine it filling up quickly during busier times. There were still some treats available for purchase, and my vanilla chai latte came out quickly. The chai itself had a very distinct flavor profile that didn't match what I typically associate with a vanilla chai. I'm not sure if it was the vanilla flavoring used or the chai blend, but the taste was noticeably different from what I expected -- especially coming from a bakery. I found myself feeling somewhat indifferent about it. I didn't enjoy it, but I also didn't dislike it. Because the flavor was so specific and strong, I'm unsure whether I'd try another drink or item from the menu. That said, I appreciated being accommodated close to closing time and having the chance to stop in.

A cute little bakery with amazing pastries on Columbus Ave. I came here on a Friday morning and it had a steady flow of people coming in for morning coffee and treats. I decided on the chocolate bread and chocolate croissant, which were both delicious. The service was quick and all the other pastries and desserts look delectable. I'll definitely have to be back to try them out. They also have a location in Medford that's just as good.

Small place in the South End, fairly empty. Not that much in stock. We called ahead because the website explicitly said to do so, but that was unnecessary and instead seemed to confuse the folks working there. The pastries and quiche were all pretty good. The croissant was buttery and flakey, and the Pain Swiss was creamy and rich. We also got a Croque Monsieur, which was quite disappointing. They're pre-made and sit out, and warming it up didn't really help (nor did it make it very warm). I would not recommend it. If you're in the mood for a sweet, stop by. Earlier seems better since they don't stock a lot.

Was here on a Saturday morning and ordered the pain Suisse and tomato ricotta pastry to share. There were tables indoors and outdoors and a good amount of staff for as many people as there were that day. Both pastries were great!

I went in early and paid for 2 sandwiches so I would be guaranteed a great lunch for us .

I really can't tell you what's the best out of all these but they have a great variety of fresh pastries.

Beautiful bakery! I preordered a chocolate buche de Noel and it's beautiful. Easy pick up. They had a chocolate and mango option- 2 different options every year. Friendly service with a smile. I also picked up some small buche de Noel versions ($9) to share with friends. And I couldn't pass up the eclair. Will definitely pick up some bread next time. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Street parking.

The departure of this bakery space's previous tenant was a tragedy, but Colette's presence is such a joy! They have a wide variety of pastries and breads, and they also serve coffee and tea. There's a number of small tables along the wall, as well as seats by the windows. I came on a Saturday around 8am and it was already buzzing with people. The servers are friendly as well. I got a Kouing Amann, a Pecan Paris Brest, and an Iced Chai Latte, while my friend got a Quiche Lorraine and a Cappuccino. I thoroughly enjoyed all of my treats and would definitely come back.

    Canele perfection.

the pastries and bread are excellent (special shout out to the chicken curry croissant), but the coffee is probably a 1.5/10.

The meal options are all on laminated pages instead of on a big board, but they did have a lot of good options. We started with regular drip coffee which was ready quickly and we could sweeten to our liking. We tried the house breakfast which was two eggs any style (got them fluffy and scrambled), crispy bacon, cheesy potato fritters with tomato jam (similar to ketchup), and sourdough bread (we asked for butter) it was all very filling and some nice spins on a traditional breakfast. The bakery selection is out of this world - from breakfast pastries to delicately crafted desserts. The cinnamon and pecan rose was just like the center of a cinnamon bun, which was fantastic. It was big enough for two people to indulge without overdoing it. There weren't a lot of outlets, so not ideal for long term laptop use, but the food came quickly, it wasn't too loud even with a ton of people coming in and out. The prices were reasonable, and everything tasted amazing.
