Came here on a whim as it was close to where I was going and I needed some good food and a good cup of coffee. This place did not disappoint. It started snowing and I honestly felt like I was in a hallmark Christmas movie. The setting was this cost little coffee shop full of warm smiles and baked pastries of heaven. The barista took my order which was a non-fat latte and the F.A.B.Toast. Which was one slice of toast with avocado, balsamic glaze and Feta cheese. We also tried the powerd toast ( peanut butter, fresh banana granola and chia seeds. Both was super yummy and the coffee was just delicious. A few things to note - ample parking. There is tap water and glasses for the table available by the drinks. You can order from the front touch screen order tablet or from a human ( I prefer placing my orders at the counter with a human). I also noted that they have really cute booths with power outlets so you can definitely bring your laptop and work there. Be careful though..... the pastries look amazing. BUT.... I saw they have healthier options like yogurt bowls with fruit ( also going to try next time I go). Give this place a try - you will definitely be glad you did!

Has really gone downhill over the years from what it once was. The newer barista ladies just seem to lack the skills that the Asian guy who used to make all the drinks has. The drinks don't seem blended well or have too much overpowering of one ingredient and the coffee doesn't really come through. Shrinkflation has really been taken to the extreme as well. Not only do they significantly upcharge for every little thing, but the yogurt bowls are now TINY. Do not be deceived by the older photos. I was SHOCKED when I picked up my yogurt bowl today. I cannot believe it's legal to charge $10 for what is probably less than a cup of plain yogurt with like 5 berries on it. The 'bowls' are more like little sauce containers from most restaurants and can be finished in about 3 bites.

Tried their seasonal maple cinnamon latte. It wasn't bad but I wish it was a bit sweeter. The employees are really friendly and helped me decide what to order. I was between maple cinnamon and the pumpkin spice latte, but learned the pumpkin spice doesn't have caffeine in it. Overall it wasn't bad, I hope to try some of their other seasonal and regular drinks as well.

The service was quick and friendly. Cozy for seating as there were several people settling with laptops. Hazelnut mocha latte with oat milk: soooo good. Rich, creamy, nutty, and sweet. Unique drink than other drinks. - London fog with oat milk: super yummy. Lightly sweet and creamy with lightly lavender and vanilla flavors. Small for this type of drink but it was still sufficient. - croffle: pressed in waffle and slightly sweet - Ultimate breakfast sandwich: healthy and filling veggies and semi scrambled egg in a nicely flaky soft croissant - FABT toast: It was beyond delicious with feta cheese, creamy avocado, some drizzle of olive oil type to compliments this tasty balsamic glaze, and juicy but slightly roasted cherry tomatoes.

I really liked this spot last time I came here. The food and yogurt were all solid. There's tons of options, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, and sweet treats. There's also seasonal coffee and late drinks. We ordered: Regular coffee 8/10 Matcha w/almond milk 9/10 Vanilla bean Yogurt bowl 9/10 Egg, Avocado, bacon, and cheese on rye 9/10 Chipotle chicken BLT sandwich 9/10 Overall I really love this place and I'll be coming back!

Overall very good place to get either a sandwich or a yogurt bowl. After coming home from Greece last year, my fiancée really wanted a good yogurt bowl. This place satisfied that craving. Dining in is definitely worth the value for yogurt bowls. The to go containers hold less than what appears to come in a dime in bowl, at least to us. But the yogurt tastes very good and the topping selection is great! You can have up to 5 toppings on your bowl. The sandwiches here are also delicious. The Italian and the chipotle chicken are my two favorites. They're lunch sandwiches so you have to wait until after 11 am to order them. The drinks are also very good. I ordered one of the holiday drinks the last time we were in and it was far better than any Starbucks drink. My fiancée ordered the matcha last time and I actually liked it a lot. The restaurant isn't huge but they recently took out their frozen yogurt machines and turned it into countertop seating so they did expand the seating. But it's definitely a cozy little place regardless. There's also some seating outside if you'd like to brave the cold or if the weather is warmer.

Located at a conventional plaza-style setting, boasting a unique, hybrid coffee-lounge interior with frozen yogurt dispensers at the rear. Parking is convenient. Imaged(1) - the matcha latte is a good quantity per/price and has a refreshing taste that's not too sweet. The sandwich was tasty and by taste, you can tell these guys use real ingredients. Espresso lemonade was unique but the contrasting tastes of each complemented each other nicely. Bakery wise is not too extensive but the croffle and almond croissants were great! Service was friendly and responsive, interior is clean for study seshes.

Cute fun coffee shop! I believe they're mainly known for their make your own yogurt/ acai bowl but their coffee was pretty good too. The first time I went the oat latte was smooth, strong w expressed notes but the second time it was too milky and the cashier was slightly annoyed already. (we all have bad days.) I will say that they croissants are some of the best in the area! Might be worth the drive.

What a cute spot! My friend and I stopped by here on the way to trying out another spot, since I heard many good things about this place. The interior is super cozy, lots of nice decorations and a very friendly feel. There were a lot of people in here, so definitely come early or get these things to-go! There's a lot of breakfast options here as well, along with a greek yogurt bar to make yogurt bowls. Everything was pretty refreshing, along with the coffees that my friend and I ordered. They have seasonal drinks as well, which was what we ordered from, and I liked her chocolate latte a lot more than my caramel one. Would definitely come back here to try out more things!

(From June, 2023) Another coffee spot in the Loudoun area? While I would normally be skeptical since there are so many coffee options here, this is one I'm glad arrived. First, in addition to coffee and breakfast, they have soft-serve yogurt here. It smelled so wonderful as I walked in, there's nothing like the smell of frozen yogurt/ice cream that hits your nostrils. While I thought about having one, it was still early morning on Saturday, mid-May so I decided to stick with my hazelnut latte and a breakfast bagel sandwich. Both were made in a timely manner and the latte was smooth and right temperature. The sandwich is one of the better breakfast sandwiches I've had; the sausage, egg, and cheese were in tact with the bagel, seasoned nicely, and no mess while finishing it. Sometimes these things leave your fingers dirty, no such thing while eating this; a nice experience. As a lot of these reviews state, the customer service and attentiveness by the staff is very noticeable. I concur with the fellow YELPERs as the cashiers and baristas are easy to chat with and patient. It makes sense why there was a line as I walked in and you felt that good feeling being here as if you were taken to some sort of bright happy place. I look forward to stopping by here again when I'm in the area and maybe dabble in those frozen treats!

Cute little coffee and yogurt place. Staff are. nice and friendly, they have seating in and outside. It does take a little long for us to get our order so everything is made fresh. The waffle here are delicious, it is soft and crunchy at the same time and perfect amount of fruits. Takes about 10 minutes for our order to be done! The yogurt here is phenomenal , once of my fav. and you can semi customize it too! I also got pumpkin cold brew and it was good, nothing special but still good! Would deff come back to try more things kn the menu.

I came here after hearing about a ~new~ place offering bubble tea. Their tea menu is comprised primarily of fruit teas; there was a handwritten menu addendum with flavors including milk tea and Thai tea, so I think they're beginning to include more standard flavors. I ordered the milk tea since it's the easiest to compare to other places. While I was waiting, the staff member asked if I was interested in sampling some of their gelato flavors. I took him up on the offer and tried the roasted strawberry, which completely exceeded my expectations! It was sweet but not overly so--he explained the sweetness comes from the strawberries themselves, and there's no added sugar. I also tried the double chocolate, which was great as well. The fact that Cold Spoon makes all of their gelato from scratch really shows; I'll definitely come back for the roasted strawberry and some other flavors as well. Not going to lie: the bubble tea needs some work. The tea itself was actually quite good--the tea flavor presented well and overall tasted quite authentic without being too cloyingly sweet. However, the tapioca bubbles were a little mushy and a little on the flavorless side. The drink also came in a 16oz iced coffee cup, with huge cubes of ice that took up at least half of the cup (even after I asked for less ice). As far as I can tell, there's only one size for $4, and bubbles are an additional $1, which is 50¢ more than more established places like KFTea, TeaDM, and Teas'N You. Ultimately, this came out to a $5+ (half) cup of 5/10 boba, which I have to take a star off for. I think bubble tea is a relatively new offering for them, so I'm not too worried about this first experience. With time, their recipe should improve and perhaps they'll adjust their prices once they have a more steady customer flow. For now, though, the gelato and customer service definitely get 5 stars from me--I'll be back for those! read more

Lovely little find with something for everyone. I'm so impressed and the staff is so friendly. Pumpkin spice latter is very good. The lemonade espresso is strangely delicious. So happy I discovered this place! The only disappointment is that I live so far from here. We were just stopping through to meet up with some friends for lunch and wanted to grab a coffee. The coffee was so smooth but had a great flavor. I asked for a little bit of caramel syrup and it wasn't too sweet. We also tried the greek yogurt with some fruit and the simple syrup was divine!! I honestly love this place and when i'm in the area again we will surely surely stop by! read more

Absolutely amazing fresh ingredients. We ordered two Greek yogurt parfaits; the Almond bar substituted the dried cranberries for fresh strawberries. The other was fresas de leche. An egg and cheese on a croissant and one on a bagel. Iced coffee and ice caramel latte. Everyone who works there is super friendly and welcoming. They also have a rewards program/card which we got! Coffee amazing. Smoothies amazing. Breakfast sandwiches amazing. Even the plain Greek yogurt parfait is amazing. But what REALLY caught me off guard is how amazing the sandwiches are. The best Italian sandwich you can find is HERE. It takes them a long time to make it and it shows in how the ingredients are put together. read more

Love Cold Spoon so much! The owners/managers are so nice first of all. You are always greeted when you come in. I wish more people were like that! The coffee is great and they are happy to customize anything you want. I especially love that they now have oat milk! Not sure why that's .25 more than the other non-dairy options though? Their yogurt bar is wonderful, too. We love the Very Berry. The yogurt is made in-house and all of the granola is gluten free, the berries are fresh, and the agave syrup on top is so delicious. There are so many options you can select from, or you can customize your own toppings. Love, love, love this little local place and I hope they continue to get support from the community. read more

This is the first time I've ever been so blown away by a business that I've gone ahead and created an account to leave a Yelp review. I live in NoVa and am pretty impressed by the dessert and boba places that have been established around here. But I when I came across this gem (Cold Spoon) it by and far takes the lead. The gentleman helping us, who I assume may be the owner, was incredibly polite, diligently followed COVID safety regulations, and designed an atmosphere in the restaurant that indicates very good taste and aesthetic sensibilities. His selection of chocolate and other snacks was a reflection of a strong eye and sense of culture (they sell MAST chocolate bars!) The decor is inviting and if conditions were different, I'd definitely work remotely from this whimsical shop. My friend and I ordered the PB and J yogurt bowl and a yogurt croissant sandwich. They were both delicious. I've never had such a unique sandwich before - so creative! We could tell by the quality of the ingredients that this place is the real deal and there's quite a bit of passion, fun, and artistry injected into the process. The price wasn't bad at all either! I HIGHLY recommend this place, one of the best experiences I've had in the Virginia area in a very long time, or ever. I expect to come here frequently and I can't say enough great things about this charming spot that brings New York's quality and style into the neighborhood of Sterling. 10/5 stars! Great local coffee shop that has SO much more than just good coffee. I especially love their homemade yogurt!! They have great parfaits to choose from that range in healthy fruity options to still healthy but more dessert style yogurt options. They do a great job keeping their menu fresh by occasionally changing or adding new items. I am always impressed by the variety of options! The vibe inside is inviting and trendy. Workers are always friendly and the place is spotless! read more

Went there with the kids for some froyo. Their froyo was pretty damn good. For some reason it tasted real fresh. $4 medium size with all you can top toppings.....great deal. Had a cup of coffee there also which I thought was good. Workers were pleasant and if I'm in that area again I'll definitely stop by. read more

Wow, just wow. As an avid foodie, I make it my duty to try up cute new pop up shops. Even though I'm not a huge fan of yogurt, I had to check this place out. Everything about this place is cute, the regular yogurt parfait bar to the frozen yogurt bar. The yogurt parfait options they have looked delicious (especially the fresas con leche and the mango one). I ended up getting the fresas con leche with the recommendation of the owner. It was delicious! They advertise that their yogurt is homemade and has no sugar and you can taste it! The only source of sweetness from the fresas con leche is the strawberries and the condensed milk. I ordered it to go for my mom and she also said it was delicious. The presentation of it was super cute as well! I ordered a double chocolate hot chcocolate drink and it tasted great as well and the owner even knows how to do latte art! My boyfriend got the frozen yogurt option with the unlimited toppings (which is so much better than paying by weight) and the cookies and cream flavor is delicious! I tasted the original tart flavor and it was also delicious. He got a large and ate the whole thing! The best part is probably the prices. The prices are actually good prices and not overpriced! I seriously recommend this place as I don't give out 5 starts too often unless places blow me away. I found a cute little go to spot by my house that I can bring my family to! Also, everyone that works there is insanely nice and will greet and thank you with a smile everytime! read more

Don't miss this place or be deceived by the random location at the end of a low-key strip mall. Delicious yogurt (frozen and regular! .. it's homemade and you can tell!) Coffee is great (Swings) and I'm picky about good coffee. I'd been here months ago and loved it, but hadn't come enough to to rate it yet. I was excited they used swings coffee, but they didn't make coffee after around 5pm and they didn't sell the bags. Not making coffee after 5 was such a bummer to me, honestly I kinda forgot about the place. Now, I came back, pleasantly found out there is NO cutoff for coffee serving time (hallelujah!), they sell Swings by the bag(yes please!), the place is redecorated (it was cute before but now you really feel comfortable staying and sitting longer). Oh and friendly service- all around 5 stars! Only complaint is that the regular yogurt is verrry pricey but you get what you pay for. read more

WOW! Actually the best yogurt anyone in my house has ever had. We got the family sized vanilla and strawberry and both were incredible. The strawberry is sweet, almost dessert-like. The vanilla is perfect with mix-ins like granola and berries. The iced latte was also delicious. Such a treat during otherwise scary times and excellent curbside pickup and adherence to social distancing. Thanks, guys!! read more

I love the coffee- and the gelato is great! I've driven from sterling, va to Georgetown to baked and wired for coffee- now I don't have to, because the coffee here so good! The gelato is excellent as well. It's like having a Pitango without having to pay for Reston town Center parking. Also, the use organic milk and they always serve everything with a smile. It makes me really happy to visit here. read more

As a result of that review, I spoke with Christina, who manages the shop. She was genuinely sincere, apologized for the issues, and assured me that things were going to change. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. On Friday, July 10, at approximately 9:30 a.m., I visited the shop again. I was the fifth person in line, looking at my phone, when I heard the first customer being told they had no coffee. He immediately walked out. The next two customers ordered iced tea. The fourth customer, who was directly in front of me, ordered two cups of coffee. I clearly heard the employee tell him there was no coffee available and that he would have to wait 5 to 10 minutes. Although he was obviously frustrated, he agreed to wait and took a seat. When it was my turn, I asked the cashier if I had heard correctly that there was currently no coffee. She confirmed they were about to brew a fresh pot. I pointed out that five customers had already been in line and that this was a coffee shop with no coffee available. After already turning away one customer and asking another to wait, only then were they starting a new pot? The cashier responded with an attitude, saying, "You'll just have to wait 5 to 10 minutes." This is exactly what I discussed with Christina months ago. I simply do not understand how a coffee shop can repeatedly run out of coffee. At a minimum, there should always be another pot brewing or ready so customers are not left waiting 5 to 10 minutes after placing an order. That is poor planning and poor customer service. It is clear that nothing has changed since my conversation with Christina. I asked if either Christina or Dan, the other manager, was available, and I was told there were no managers on duty. At that point, I walked out. I cannot recommend spending your time or money at a coffee shop that repeatedly fails to have coffee available. It would be like going to a grocery store with no groceries. If a business specializes in coffee, customers should reasonably expect coffee to be available.

In one way, I didn't mind that as I didn't end up with greasy hands or a burger that falls apart. The bacon and the cheese provided some relief from the dryness. The fries came out hot, which we appreciated. All in all, it was an OK experience; we would consider going again sometime.

They have a very varied menu and they also have a large gluten-free menu. We both had the lobster bisque as a starter and then we both ordered the fish tacos. The soup was filled with lots of lobster meat and was delicious. The fish tacos were made with cod and the waiter mentioned that the slaw had some habanero chile in it. I asked if it was spicy and he said it might have a slight kick, but was not spicy. He was absolutely correct and in fact, if he hadn't mentioned the habanero I would not have picked up on it at all. It was really good. If you order bread, (and you have choices on type), you are charged I think a dollar per order, but that is donated to help people who are food challenged. We were full from our dinner, but we could not pass up an order of key lime pie for dessert, which we shared. It was a hard choice because they had a special dessert which was chocolate peanut-butter pie. I wish we could have had both. Their other desserts also sounded great. By the way, a portion of their revenues from desserts are also donated to help those who need food assistance. I was very impressed that they do that. I want to mention that the wait staff was also great. Friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing. I can't say enough about Sweetwster Tavern. The tiramisu was pretty good, I imagine homemade, especially with it being more yellow which is more traditional.

Countless email exchanges and multiple texts have been made between myself and the owner, Dennis Stanley, and still I find myself not financially whole. The least they can do is return what I paid. As I will never be truly whole.. for the wedding cake was what I was looking forward to the most, and the realization it would not be coming left me in tears. To do this to a bride and then have her continuously email for restitution and provide TERRIBLE communication is a truly awful thing to do. ***DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS*** And in general, their communication is terrible. They don't answer the phone and you have to email 2 or 3 times before they respond. Weddings are already expensive and stressful -- do yourself a favor and don't add to it by using Chantel's Bakery. EDIT AFTER OWNER COMMENT: Chantel's Bakery never reached out to me after the credit card did not go through. Actually, the opposite. I emailed Chantel's two days after the in-person meeting informing them that my credit card had not been charged and asked when it would be. I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE. It was not until the morning of my wedding did I receive a PayPal invoice, in which was paid within 3 hours of receipt. Maybe a planner would have been helpful in completing additional follow-ups with the business WHICH IS CLEARLY REQUIRED, so that I didn't have to be the one to realize the cake was missing. However, a business should establish some sort of organization that would allow them not to forget an order IN THE FIRST PLACE. The sad fact is that Dennis told me that the error should have never happened it was entirely their fault and he would provide a FULL REFUND which he has failed to do. They may not have time to complete your order or follow through on promises made, but they sure do have time to falsely respond to negative reviews. Again, I repeat DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS.

Loved both the IPA and sour I got! Flavors are insane - only gripe is the pricing is pretty steep for the beers.

This charming little coffee shop in Great Falls Plaza, Sterling, offers a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like a comforting embrace. The interior, adorned with potted plants and a white tiled wall complemented by wooden tones, creates a truly relaxing space. The coffee here is robust with a gentle hint of acidity, and the matcha latte is exceptional. The clean and pleasant ambiance, along with the attentive service, makes you feel right at home. I've lived in Great Falls my whole life and just discovered this hidden gem of a place. The frozen yogurt is DELICIOUS and really does just hit the spot. Love love love the toppings..OH and they have matcha green tea flavor froyo. I love that you pay by the cup size and not by weight (it definitely allows you to get so much more for less)-but be mindful, don't go to crazy!! Lol. Oh AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try their London Fog Tea- the earl grey and lavender blend is so pleasant and cozy. The owner is also very kind and is always in a good mood. Cold Spoon Coffee in Sterling has become an essential part of my mornings. Their coffee is always on point - rich in flavor and perfectly brewed. This coffee shop has it all. The ambiance, interior designs, good coffee, tasty foods, and fast wi-fi connection. Prices are a bit high but once you already taste it, you understand why. It is simply one of the best and my favorites coffee shop in town. Overall, it's a good shop for studying and relaxing. Highly recommended! read more

Cold Spoon Yogurt has been changed so much. I love their fall in love specials especially pumpkin spiced latte and taro latte. :) Their coffee is also good...and now they have a yogurt parfait bar! I tried their yogurt sample and it was very thick and creamy. Surely coming back for those! read more
