I wasn't sure what flavors to choose and she guided me to a possible flavor selection from her most popular flavors and by asking what my son's favorite flavors were. Based off of strawberries (His favorite flavor) she came up with an amazing flavor profile for the cake, mini cupcakes and cake pops. The cake ended up being a classic vanilla cake layered with fresh strawberry cream, fresh strawberries, and a touch of strawberry coulis. The cake pops were triple chocolate flavor made with Belgian truffle chocolate--and strawberries, and last but not least the mini cupcakes were strawberry with lemon buttercream. The final products came out beyond my expectations from the visual presentation she nailed and even better than the inspiration photo I sent her and the taste was so delicious and tasty. I don't know what "percentage" goes to scholarships because there is no webpage with a business plan, mission etc. So I spent $18 on 3 cupcakes: dark chocolate, chocolate mint and red velvet. The cupcakes were very dry, they all ended up into the trash. The dark chocolate frosting was ok, it was like whipped chocolate fudge. The mint had way too much peppermint extract with a very dry cupcake. The red velvet didn't taste anything like a red velvet cupcake. It was not a good flavor; can't even describe it The frosting tasted like I put a spoonful of powdered sugar in my mouth mixed with some shortening maybe. A tip for the owner, a simple box of powdered pudding can help with moisture.

Well I've been in there a few times now and I understand everything Russ is saying, from the amazing delicious pastries to the warm and friendly owners and staff. I've loved everything I e eaten at this place! So I ran in with my husband a few days ago to order a birthday cake for Russ (his favorite bakery). Jeff and I had a great time ordering pastries to go and of course... ordering the burnt almond cake for the celebration a few days away. Jeff got a piece of the most dense/ingredient filled Quiche. Every bite was a taste bud delight and it was very filling! Good quality. No smoking and an excellent breakfast decision. We ordered some coffee cake and a cinnamon roll for others at home and I got a jelly roll that was this beautiful, fluffy, perfectly cooked roll with a bit schmear of a cream cheese/butter icing on top and the apricot jam they crowned it with was stellar! OMG. I'm going back for another one of those. That was an incredible decision. Pictures next visit I promise!!! The restaurant is clean and airy indoors and they have a beautiful seating area with tables and umbrellas outside. I was marveling at the giant leggos and giant games for kids to entertain themselves at while parents sip coffee, tea or another drink and enjoy a leisurely pastry and conversation to make their day special. There were three people working at the tent, two of which I believe are a husband and wife team. I want to say the other gentleman was the brother. We swapped one out to try their tiramisu flavor, but we ended up sticking with their most popular flavors. They were very flexible with us having 3 different flavors for our cake, which was greatly appreciated as I was being very indecisive. What I really loved about them is that they made sure that everything was taken care of after our tasting was done. And the taste was absolutely incredible. We did a simple strawberry cake with a strawberry mousse, and I believe strawberry jam. It was unreal!! it wasn't artificially sweet like some cakes can be with strawberry flavoring, but subtle moist, and absolutely incredible!
