The Coffee Zon is located inside IU University Hospital. Once inside the University Blvd entrance, it sets across from the hospital cafeteria and just past the gift shop. Follow the signs to the cafeteria, and you can't miss it. Easy to access from the Cancer Center or IU University entrance.
The Zon has many types of coffee and teas available, and prices are a tad high but worth when I'm craving a Chai Latte. As you enter, to the right, is a small, cold case loaded with yogurt parfaits, fruits, sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, and salads. On the top are large, fresh muffins, cookies, and brownies, to name a few.
Inside are three 2-top tables to dine in, or their are many seats just steps passed the Zon if you exit left toward the bamboo trees in the Cancer Center.
The service is friendly and quick. The crowds are sporadic, but the lines are early in the morning, lunchtime, and break times for the employees. As I mentioned, even with a long line, the staff work quickly, and you're on your way. It's not the best spot to try and work, but the common area by the bamboo trees is good or even outdoors if you can get a signal. I'm glad the Coffee Zon is there for drinks and snacks as I try to stop in often. read more
