What sets it apart is the sauce: creamy, gently spiced, something like a seasoned mayo but not spicy. Coffee, of course, is the backbone here, and it's handled with a kind of calm precision. Our barista kindly alerted my partner and me that a warm blueberry latte would have oatmeal because of course the blueberry curdles regular milk. It was great attention to detail, and it's why we came back again and again during our week long trip. They had a special for every day! My aunt and I have made it a point to stop in every-time we're in Indy, and have never been disappointed. I typically stick to their iced chai, which is very refreshing and one of my favorites. It is the sort of place that feels special the moment you walk in. A lot of people rave about the beautiful space, and quite right too. The shop has a gorgeous, old-world feel in a historic Fountain Square building, plenty of seating, and a lovely outdoor area that is very dog friendly. The staff always boast a delightful disposition that makes you want to smile and enjoy the rest of your day as well. As for the coffee, I love the iced Mayan Mocha. It is like a mocha with a kick and extra flavour depth, and it is absolutely delicious. The dark chocolate, honey, cinnamon, and cayenne give it a little warmth and complexity without losing the joy of a proper iced coffee treat. They also have some really high-end pastries to choose from. I love the lemon loaf, and some of the more complex, unique pastries make it feel a bit more elevated than the average coffee stop. Overall, it is clean, beautiful, welcoming, and always worth the return visit.

It's a shame because the drip coffee was delightful and I appreciated their high top bar with outlets. It can be quite loud so keep that in mind if you want a quieter reflection time, and maybe take it to go or sit outside. They have various food items but I absolutely LOVE their peanut butter energy balls! In fact that is why I came to this location as this is where the magic happens. They make them here and send them to other Tinker locations! They are the perfect blend of savory and a tad sweet and go super well with their coffee and/or London Fog tea. Yum! This weekend we got a strawberry guava quesito; blueberry, fig jam, and brie pastry; and a vanilla cheese danish. Literally all incredible! I've never had anything bad.
