This place is practically right outside of the dirt lot at Knott's, so if you need a pick me up after a long day at the park, this place is a good choice! It's literally ~2 blocks away off the same street as the parking lot (same side of the street, too). I got the vanilla latte and my husband got the horchata latte (both iced). Came to this location because I love the fullerton one but this was closer to my church so I decided to give it a try. Service was really good but I ordered a hot vanilla latte for here and was disappointed that it 1. not only came in a to-go cup, but 2. there was so much foam I had to scrape off on top of my coffee. The photo I attached is how much of my latte that was remaining after scraping the foam off the top. The muffin was standard but every cafe has almost the same pastries. Whoa, those espresso ice cubes really make a difference in the drinks after a while! Instead of diluting the coffee, it sort of makes more coffee! Ingenious...now I want to make my own haha. Coffee Code is tucked in a small plaza across the street from Knott's parking. The interior is bright and clean with a modern, natural feel. Each table was taken up with people on their laptops (working, studying, chilling). Staff are friendly and helpful, and they whip up drinks quickly and expertly. Not only did our coffees look pretty, but they were also delicious. Definitely a nice place to be at, and it's worth the drive up to Buena Park. Iced Strawberry Latte: 5/5, strawberry syrup was used, but it did not have an artificial fruity taste! I don't usually go for fruit-flavored lattes, but this one pleasantly surprised me and my friends. The barista said this was one of their most popular drinks, and I can see why. Just try it! Iced Demerara Latte subbed with whole milk instead of oat milk: 4/5, had the nice crunchy sugar crystals, probably not meant to fully dissolve in the drink? It's also not as sweet as I thought it would be, despite using that special sugar for flavor and sweetness. It reminded me of one similar to Blue Bottle's. Iced White Chocolate Latte: 5/5, sweet and creamy without overpowering the coffee taste. Does not taste like your average white chocolate mocha from Starbucks, that's for sure. I'm not a fan of syrups, but I gave the Demerara sugar bits a try, and there were many crystals to bite. Overall, a good latte that - to my knowledge - is unique to this location. Outside of the coffee, Coffee Code's lounges are a nice, quiet place to spend a lazy afternoon. Parking is easy, tables are clean, and there is much seating. PARKING: Can get busy but it's not difficult to park. In the same plaza as Odori Sushi (behind the Chase bank). VIBES: Casual, cute. Lots of people here to study or to chill with friends, and there's plenty of seating too. Not the best on a weekend though, as it gets crowded. SERVICE: Quick and easy. You order at the register and you can see very clearly how they make your drinks. It's pretty cool, as they have a lot of cool equipment. DRINKS: The iced strawberry latte is GREAT with oat milk! Funnily enough a Starbucks employee recommended this place to me while we were chatting at the Starbucks pickup window. I decided to give this place a try. It's located in a little plaza area, really unassuming and may be hard to locate if you weren't looking for it specifically. It was pretty busy on a random weekday but the barista was quick to acknowledge me and let me know she'd be with me momentarily. There were several baked goods options in addition to a nice sized menu. I kind of wish they had a description of the drinks but no hesitation on asking for a description. I opted for the iced strawberry latte and it was really yummy. The ice cubes were made with coffee which was nice but funnily enough I drank my drink before it even got close to getting watered down. Flavor was good but not heavy on coffee flavor and I wonder how much caffeine was actually in the drink.
