I came in here for the first time today, and was really impressed at the decor. It's chic with a bit of cute vintage vibes. Cocohodo also houses Sweet Vivian's Desserts inside (crepes and such), but specializes in selling/brewing Harney & Sons teas (BEST KIND, from NY) and making liquid nitrogen ice cream! So I was craving some hot delicious drink item tonight and searched coffee/tea places and found this gem. I decided to look at their menu on here before getting to the restaurant just to see what they had and my eyes immediately zoomed into the white chocolate raspberry mocha and I was sold. I get to cocohodo and its a nice little laid back atmosphere with people social distancing and what not. Get up to the counter and look at the menu and to my dismay they didn't have the drink I was set on. One of the employees comes over and asks if they can help and I tell them what I wanted, but I didn't see it on the menu. He told me he could still make it and that some items aren't on the menu, but if he has the material he can still make it. He made my drink and I carried it out and let me tell yall that first sip did not disappoint. Definitely gonna have to come back here to try their nitrogen ice cream! read more

On our rainy day off we were able to enjoy a visit to the brand new shop in town called Cocohodo. The sweet shop is known for both its red bean walknut like pastries and nitrogen-made ice cream. Their pastries are addictive, delicious, and a seemily healthier option than other pastries I've ever had at other shops. Meanwhile their ice creams are deliciously made with or without milk. Finally back, it's been a few months since I've been back! The place is still very clean and well kept. After my daughters birthday brought the crew here after. We came for the ice cream making show after I hyped everyone up for the cool mixing machine + ice cream mix and the magic liquid nitrogen. Our go to is the affogato love the idea ice cream and express delicious not to sweet and perfect smooth consistency. The next one up is Earl Grey mmmm the fragrance the taste everything you can imagine with Earl Grey flavor you got it. It's truly like a hot Earl Grey tea you just want to hold it and smell or waft the aroma. The owner Charlie is pretty much there all the time. If your wanting to know more about the ice cream ask him he will tell you what is in the mix maybe not the whole recipe but enough for you to know that there's not any unnatural additives. Ask for samples Towards the end when he switched out the tank, he said the tank had to much pressure so he had to release some and the kids enjoyed every bit of it the smoke/fog over filled the area. read more

Cocohodo is a hidden gem in Katy! We live in Houston and never come this far out for anything, but we happened to be in the area today and we were so happy we stopped by Cocohodo! I wish it was located closer to us so that we can stop by more often. The interior is modern and clean. There are lots of seating areas! They have couches, bar seat, long tables, and small tables inside. They also have picnic tables outside. The workers are friendly and welcoming! The background music is also very soothing and perfect level of volume for studying, reading, or chatting. The menu has a variety options such as crepes, liquid nitrogen ice cream, coffee, tea, mojitos, smoothies, and shaved ice. And you can't forget their special dessert - walnut pastry! I grew up eating these pastries in Korea, so it was nostalgic to bite into these yummy pastries. These pastries are shaped like a walnut shell and filled with red bean paste and walnut. So yummy! We also got early grey ice cream!!! They make it with liquid nitrogen! The flavor was perfect and not too sweet. They also sell a great selection of Harvey & Sons tea collection! I've been coming here for years and it's one of my favorite cafes in the area. The lavender lattes and matcha lattes are my go-to. Not going into much details here and frankly, I don't go here much to write a full-on review of the place. But since I'm not from the area but I do occasionally go with my bf whenever he's in town and there we order the same thing every single time. We order the iced americano and one affagato. The americano is fairly good, better than most coffeeshops who make theirs taste more watered down which does not taste good whatsoever. The affagato taste just like any other affagatos except they use their own coffee bean and they make their ice cream (that they serve with their expresso,) with nitrogen which is a pretty cool concept at a decent price compared to other places that sell their (affagato) ice cream with the same nitrogen. Oh I also had their walnut pastry which was good. The pastry of it was light and fluffy when hot so be sure to eat it when just served cause it doesn't taste as good when it's cooled down. read more

We went in for some coffee and desserts. I wasn't a fan of their coffee, they had these cute little wrapped treats that accompanied the coffees which were really odd in flavor. We googled liquid nitrogen Ice cream and this place was the place to go to say we ended up trying the chocolate ice cream and the chocolate chip cookie. I have been to sub zero so i kinda know the procees of how is made but it seem like the way they made it was quite different. They used a mixer to turn the liquid instead of actually doing it with their own hands. They are limited to only a about ten or so flavors. Ice cream came out and look delicious. Taste was over powering with chocolate, but was overall good texture though. Made me want to drink some water after eating the ice cream which they supply free but was empty when trying to get some. Cookie i would say was not great. Was hard and dry, had them warm it up to soften it but didn't help at all. Cookie was poly sitting there all day. OMG, I totally fell in love with this adorable place from the moment I walked in. I thought this was a cute place when I heard that they had liquid nitrogen ice cream, but what really stole my heart was the abundance of tea they had available!!! There was a giant wall of tea for sale and shelves and shelves of different flavored tea! I couldn't believe my eyes! I wanted to buy everything, but of course settled for a nice cup of tea instead. Their presentation for the tea was absolutely adorable as well! Why settle for a place that just gives you a cup of tea, when you can come here and have a whole tea set placed in front of you! They have other dishes available as well, such as their sweet and savory crepes which were pretty good. The price was relatively decent as well. I got to try the breakfast crepe and it was definitely filling. I also tried their signature walnut pastries, which is a little pastry in the shape of a walnut with a pancake-like outer coating and a red bean filling. It's a nice Asian dessert that's not too sweet, but definitely worth a try. I also tried their ice cream, but this was the most disappointing. I tried their honey lavender ice cream, and while the scents were there, I felt like the ice cream was pretty icy and didn't have that creaminess factor to it. I was also hoping to watch them make the ice cream in front of me using the liquid nitrogen, but all they did was scoop the ice cream, pour honey on top, and then pour liquid nitrogen on top, which hardened the honey and made it really hard to eat. The other disappointing factor was that it was really expensive for what it's worth. The space itself is pretty large and they have a great patio for you to sit outside. It's out in Katy, so anyone who's in this area has a great study place! (Not gonna lie, I'm pretty jealous because it's still a bit of a drive for me, but I would definitely go again to buy teas as a gift.) read more

The best strawberry cream crepes ever. That's all I ever get. MUST TRY! As a black coffee drinker, the coffee is also very good and has a kick, which I favor. I had a single incident where my cup wasn't completely cleaned and had a lipstick stain. I know they can be hard to get off, but I told one of the workers who apologized and was quick to bring my another cup without any qualms. The only thing that would make the place better is more outlets accessible to the booth seats. A single booth table can reach one of the outlets if your cord is long enough, and the rest are located at tables with hard blue stools. I wouldn't mind sitting in them if the chair to table height wasn't so awkward for me personally. read more

I really enjoyed this place. They have a pretty expansive menu. I got an unsweetened peach tea and a medium bag of cocohodos (they ran out of small), which were yummy. I was able to get a lot of work done while here. Outlets seem to mostly be located on the front wall, which might make it hard to get work done if you need an outlet and all of the seats are taken. Also, it was very hot at the front since the sun was beaming, not that they have much control over that. The seats they have at the front are not very comfortable either; they're too short for the height of the table, so I ended up moving when a booth freed up. Nitrogen ice cream! Yummmm. I really, really like the earl grey flavor. It's strong tasting, just like I like it. It is really creamy and smooth. Too bad you don't get to see them make it :( $5 for 2 scoops is a little steep but it is really good. Cocohodo pastries are also really good. I got 9 for ~$5 which is also a little steep but they're tasty and cute. I like that each has a whole walnut piece in them.
