As someone who strives to eat nutritious, mostly plant-based food, I absolutely love Cocobeet. Everything here is plant based, gluten free, and almost everything is made in-house and organic. Wanted to love this place but after my visit this morning I'm pretty disappointed. Went in because I wanted to pick up some juice and an açaí bowl for breakfast while I waited for the blue line to come into government center. Ended up picking up juice and ordered ONE waffle. The one man in front of me received his order and was on his way pretty quickly. 15 minutes go by. During this 15 minutes, no one else comes into the shop-- but I still haven't received the waffle. I asked the cashier to just check on my order-- the waffle wasn't even made yet. I asked her how long it would take. "Maybe about 15 minutes." Told her I didn't have enough time to wait, she offered me something else they had made or a refund, which was nice of her, but wouldn't have been necessary if the waffle was just made in the first place. Eventually, she took my name down pretty rudely and hastily, though, and just told me to come back another time for free waffles as I was telling her the blue line was coming and the next one wouldn't come for some time because it was Sunday. Not really sure why it took 15 minutes for anyone to notice I was just hanging out in the store + realized I had no food. Now I will be late to an important appointment I have out in Eastie and won't have food for some time.... at least the juice is somewhat redeemable. read more

Great little healthy spot right by the government center T station with easy grab and go options like falafel salad, sliders, chickpea curry sandwiches, juices and smoothies. 100% vegan with much on the menu also being organic, raw, and gluten free. Their cashew "cheese" is amazing as well as their açaí bowls, grain bowls, and avocado toasts. I ordered the avocado mushroom toast and raw raspberry coconut "yogurt" for dessert. The sautéd mushrooms were smoky and savory tasting a bit like bacon and paired with a generous amount of avocado, fresh cherry tomatoes, arugula, and a dash of hot pepper flakes (the whole being entirely delicious). This is the first juicing place I've seen in Boston. I've been dying to find a fresh juice place for so long!!!! But I guess this comes close. It's tucked next to the Dunkin Donut's and you could totally miss it. I got the Blue Coconut, which includes Blueberry, Almonds, Almond Butter, Coconut Oil, Chia Seeds. SO FILLING!!! I had it as my lunch during work, and it kept me energized the rest of the day. I couldn't drink the whole thing though; it got almost sickening. It may have been the almond butter, or the coconut oil, but I almost wanted to gag. So I don't suggest drinking this all in one 10-minute gulp, cuz that's what I did. Between the juices, power boosters/health shots, and power smoothies, the power smoothies definitely seem to be the more bang to your buck. I will definitely try a different power smoothie from the Blue Coconut. You may enjoy it if you are looking for a really savory drink. I would definitely want to try the Mocha Espresso or Tropical Breeze next. Also, my friend got the Survival Kit, which had many multiple fruits and coconut water, and she had the worst stomach ache. The expiration date wasn't until July 26, so I'm not sure what the drink had to make her stomach hurt the entire day. I'll give you one more chance, Coco, before I beet it. read more

Not cheap at all, but why is it so good?! I wouldn't say I would do the whole juice cleanse thing because I would probably die. The Peruvian Sun drink is definitely the way to go if you are not an experienced juicer like me, since it is on the fruitier side. However, I prefer more earthy tastes as well, so the Blue Coconut is probably more up my alley. Will have to try that one on my next visit. The curried chickpea salad was AMAZ-ING. I wish I could eat it everyday! I was surprised at how filling it was, too, since I'm the type of girl that eats salads and end up more hungry than when I started....I know, tough life when it comes to trying to eat healthy ;p But the absolute one thing that I now cannot live without is their Vanilla Berry Chia Pudding. The creamy, coconut-y concoction is balanced by the tang and slight sweetness of the berries (mix of strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries). On top of that, the chia seeds provide a nice gel-like texture, sort of reminiscent of rice pudding. So, for the juice + salad + pudding I spent a whopping $28.00! Yikes. I'm glad I went here BEFORE going shopping down at Prudential. If you really want to save your hard-earned cash, I would recommend just getting one juice to last you two days and the pudding. But if you can afford the whole shebang or want to give yourself a treat, go right ahead! You definitely won't regret it. read more

I am a huge smoothie bowl gal, and Cocobeet has been one of my favorite places that I have discovered in Boston. They have an amazing açai bowl and an amazing pitaya bowl, and they also have a ton of freshly pressed juices, superfood salads, energy bites, and avocado toast. This is a super easy grab and go lunch or breakfast, and the food is so picture-worthy because of all of the bright colors and aesthetics to each of the dishes. I have never had bad service at this place, and I would say it's fairly reasonably price for a smoothie bowl place, which can sometimes get on the more expensive side. I've waited on writing this review because there are so many other similar kinds of shops in the area to compare it too, but after trying so many clean/healthy eating shops and smoothie bars I can say that this place is definitely my favorite! I don't come here for lunch, usually I'll stop by after going to the gym and on my way home for a quick treat. I LOVE their smoothie bowls, the pitaya is my favorite. They are always generous with the toppings, but the portion is good because I never feel like I can't finish what I'm eating. Their menu is diverse and they have a lot of different drinks available so even though I come here really often it doesn't feel like I'm getting the same thing again and again. While I personally would prefer fresh made to order smoothies, I've never had a bad experience with one of their products. The prices are definitely high, and even on the higher end for these types of shops in Boston but the quality makes up for it. I also like that they also have a lot of grab and go options in their fridge - makes it easier when you're in a rush and just want to get something for work etc. read more

I was a little surprised by the limited menu but pleasantly surprised by the large selection of fresh juices and drinks in the refrigerated displays. Nothing on the menu of made-to-order food really struck my fancy so I grabbed a juice from the display. I decided to give the "Green Monkey" a try. The "Green Monkey" was tasty. It had kale, apple, kiwi, and other fresh fruits and veggies (that I'm drawing a blank on). It was refreshing! The price is a little steep for one bottle of juice but I have come to find that when it comes to juice bars here in Boston. Overall, a pleasant juice and I will return to try others. read more

Wow! I was absolutely thrilled to find this place and loved what they have to offer. At first I was a bit off put that the smoothies were not made upon demand, but rather pre-packaged in plastic containers. But I went with it and boy am I glad I gave them a try. I LOVED the Chocolate Power Mylk and the Banana Chia. The Chocolate Power Milk had a superb deep chocolate taste, one that I favor any day. It was delicious. The Banana Chia was equally delicious, but I must warn you that you need to keep these puppies super cold, as when they start to warm in flavor it's not as yummy. I went out on a limb and tried the Raw Zucchini Basil Pesto and I have to say I thought it was absolutely to die for. I gobbled that up in a manner of minutes. I am a pretty tough critic and I can whole heartedly recommend this gem. The only bummer is that I live on the West Coast and I can not eat here more often. I've been trying out various juice cleanse places, and Cocobeet sounded interesting, so I gave it a try. I called on a Saturday to get a juice cleanse for Sunday-Monday to pick up on Sunday, and it was great that he was able to have it ready for pickup the next day. However, when I got there, they said that they didn't have cleanse for me, and that there was an order that looked like it could be mine but wasn't exactly what I had ordered. It seemed that there was confusion on the phone and either I picked up someone else's order or they had gotten my order very wrong. Either way, I picked it up and began my cleanse... but next time I'll be emailing in with my order. I liked that all the juices were labeled with times, though to be honest I had 2 different cleanses on the 2 different days and I was little confused as to which was which. I didn't take them in order either. However, the juices are more interesting than JUGOS's, and I honestly really enjoyed them, especially the watermelon one and the power mylks, which are pretty satisfying. I definitely recommend this place for a cleanse; their smoothie bowls also sound good as well. They have 3 different levels of cleansing (one includes food), which is good for newbies. Right when you walk into this small storefront, you come face-to-face with display cases lined with at least two dozen different flavors of 'grab and go' juices and smoothies. There's five pounds of fruits and vegetables in each bottle. I decided to get one of their power smoothies, the BLUE COCONUT, made with blueberries, almond butter, almonds, filtered water, coconut oil, chia seeds and dates. It's dense and a bit gritty. I really loved this place - it feels like heaven if you like cold pressed juices, salad, raw, healthy, and vegan foods. I've never been to a juice shop with so many varieties of juices and smoothies (and I hail from San Francisco so there are plenty from where I come from!). There are 2 refrigerated sections with probably 20-30 different juices / smoothies / nut-milks to choose from. They also have an entire section with 5-6 salads, some raw, vegan desserts like chocolate mousse, chia puddings, and other delicious looking things that I didn't have enough stomach space for. If you want freshly made food, they also do acai bowls, and a few other hot dishes. Everything is pretty healthy (be wary of all the sugar in the fruitier drinks or in the acai bowl). I had a juice for breakfast one morning and it was great, although pricey, at $10 a pop. Most juice places in San Francisco charge around $7-9 for a juice, so it was kinda on par, but still a bit more on the expensive side. Great as a treat, but probably not an everyday thing unless money grows on trees for you. I really loved the salad that I had: kale & arugula, a roasted pear, dried cranberries, a mustard dressing, and some kind of walnut paste. I didn't find it terribly overpriced as far as salads go, at $11. It was delicious, filling, and healthy - just how a good salad should be. They had a lot of different varieties of salads - I wanted to try them all! They had one with small quinoa "burger patties", a rainbow kale salad, and a smattering of other very tempting options. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these. And because I just wanted to try everything in this place, I got the vanilla maple crunch which was a mixture of nuts, coconut flakes, lemon zest, and sweetened with maple syrup and I almost wish I had bought 2-3 bags of this because it was so good. One of the best raw, paleo/clean snacks that I've ever had. At $11 a bag, it was a little bit pricey, but well worth it when you compare it to other paleo/raw snacks elsewhere. I'd highly recommend getting this. Overall, this is a great place for food if you're in the mood for something healthy. Skip Saladworks and all the other places at Faneuil Hall, and go here instead of a salad and maybe a juice. And definitely get a snack to go. I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. It's a bit pricey, but it's tasty and healthy, so worth paying a little more to eat here! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Boston. There's nowhere to sit in here, so plan accordingly - you can eat outside or go back to your office to eat. read more

Not only did I not get any of the "options" I had chosen...which should have been called ahead if nothing could be fulfilled so I could choose a different option.
