Well-executed French x Cambodian fusion cuisine! Wanted to try this place out for a while and thought Dine-Out Boston was the perfect time to do so. Everything we got was great: tender meats, flavorful stews, unique drinks, and rich desserts. Some stand-outs to me were the Rouleaux starter and Le Péché au Chocolat dessert, absolutely divine. For $46, easily worth the price. Recommend for sure!

I was intrigued by the combination of cuisines presented on the menu outside the door and it happened to be Dine Out Boston week! I walked inside and was promptly seated. All of the servers were very nice! The drinks here are great. I got a lychee mocktail that wasn't too sweet. The food was different from anything I've had before. Portion sizes are huge! Nothing was bad, but I wouldn't get any of the food I tried again. Maybe I chose all the wrong dishes to try? As a Cambodian, I think I'll stick to making my own dishes at home instead of dining out. I got a salad that had mango in it, which I was expecting to be something similar to a raw papaya salad, but it had large strips of ripe mango and I just wasn't into it. I did appreciate the huge shrimps in the salad that were perfectly cooked. The grilled trout was missing salt, mostly burnt, and had lots of bones (Yes, it's fish. Yes, fish has bones, but I don't like working for my food). I was struggling to finish this and the mango salad, and not because of the portion sizes. For dessert I got the poached pear with vanilla ice cream, which wasn't too sweet. This was probably the best part of the entire meal, other than the drink.

Tasty food, very good service and a nice modern vibe. Really liked the restaurant menu with a diversity of dishes.

I'd been meaning to try The Elephant Walk for a long time, since I'd heard great things. The vibes there were fairly nice, but not necessarily upscale. I found the service to be standard. However, I must say that I wasn't crazy impressed with the food. It was solid, but didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. While the menu was interesting just as advertised, I didn't find my dish (a seafood curry) to be overly flavorful. It also wasn't especially filling. That being said, I'd be willing to go back and try some other menu items.

I went to The Elephant Walk on a Sunday afternoon and it was exactly the vibe I needed--lively but not chaotic, cozy but not cramped, and very cute! I started with the salted cornbread skillet, and I'm still thinking about it. Warm, slightly sweet, perfectly salty, and served in a mini skillet. Truly one of the best starters I've had in a while. The cheeseburger was everything a cheeseburger should be. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and satisfying. No notes. For dessert, I had the milk and cookies--and this was not your basic Toll House situation. These were warm, gooey, gourmet-level cookies with a side of cold milk that made me feel like both a nostalgic kid and a fancy adult at the same time. I honestly think I'll go back and order the exact same thing. Why mess with perfection? The Elephant Walk has officially earned a spot in my comfort food rotation.

I have been wanting to try this place for years and finally made it there tonight. The casual but elevated atmosphere was evident when I walked through the door. I was quickly greeted but chose to sit at the bar. The rest of the seats quickly filled up with people who were clearly regulars. I asked the woman sitting next to me for recommendations and she told me that she has enjoyed everything she has ever had here. After speaking with the bartender, who was very friendly and helpful in spite of being busy, I decided on a boneless beef short rib and noodle dish that was absolutely fabulous! The only suggestion I have is to cook the fresh noodles less so they're more al dente. I was offered some hot sauce which came on the side in little ramekins. They both added their own unique flavor and heat. Overall an excellent meal and I will definitely be back!

Solid Cambodian spot in South End. I came here for dinner with friends during Dine Out Boston. Their 3-course meal included and appetizer, main course, and dessert. I selected the crispy spring rolls, roasted chicken and rice and the truffle chocolate cake. The spring rolls came with lettuce, bean sprouts and a citrusy fish sauce dipping sauce which complemented the pork filling well. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the rice was so flavorful. I also loved the dipping sauce included with this dish. The chocolate cake was the perfect way to end the decadent meal. Service was quick and the bar offerings are extensive. Would definitely come back to try some other items on the menu or even to just get a cocktail!

Went here for Dine Out Boston, and it was pretty decent. My favorite dish combos from the set menu at this time were the Khmer noodle appetizer and Bai Mouan (incredibly tender bone in chicken with rice dish). Coconut milk custard was pretty good, reminded me of a tres leches cake. Presentation could have been more delicate given the price point, but service was very efficient and attentive. Full and buzzing restaurant environment for dining out in Boston!

My mom and husband took me here for my now 3rd birthday dinner. Place was quaint but buzzing with people by the time we arrived during a huge rain storm. Our server was very nice. My only complaint was that the menu only had a few vegetarian options (my husband looked it up and thought there were much more), but we were assured that many of the menu items could be made vegetarian. We started with cold avacado soup, we both liked it. Very refreshing. My mom had the salad, not incredible but she had no complaints. My son had the dumplings. My husband had the traditional stew, bowl was HUGE and he said it was delicious. My son had the Khar Saiko beef short ribs, he loved it as well. I had the legumes et tofu, very mild green sauce with asparagus, acorn squash, and firm tofu. My mom had the curry Des Crevettes Au Legumes (we opted to make the vegan) which was a red curry, tasty, came with white rice. All in all was nice. Menu was unique and food was good.

Such a solid dinner spot from a dinner date to double date or even solo bar experience. The food and service never miss. Mocktails and cocktails are incredibly fresh and exciting. The Sanghkia Pao dessert consistently brings a smile to my face. I'm thrilled it's starting to get busy even on weeknights, so don't forget to book a resy or come before the 630p rush!

We came for dinner on a rainy evening. The restaurant has a warm ambience and was comfortably quiet, not too busy. We started with the duck polenta appetizer, which was really delicious. Our entrees, the Amok Royale and the Keing de Ananas, were both tasty, but didn't wow us. It was a nice experience to try some authentic Cambodian food.

Never had French Cambodian fusion cuisine before so this was quite the surprise! Parking can be tricky during peak hours so be mindful of that. Item prices are as of 10/2024: Khar Saiko Kroeung - $32 - The short ribs were extremely tender and delicate in flavor. The sauce and noodles were perfectly prepared and complimented each other well. Magret de Canard Poêlé - $37 - If you enjoy duck then you'll enjoy this dish. The duck breast was a bit firm but the flavor was phenomenal. I also really enjoy pears so this was a perfect match for me. Rouleaux - $15 - Delicious! The dipping sauce was very tasty. I would order this again!

Went to Elephant Walk with a few friends on a weeknight and overall had a pretty decent experience. The service was amazing--everyone was so friendly and attentive, which really stood out. I loved the soup, but aside from that, nothing on the menu really wowed me. That said, I really appreciated the unique concept of blending French and Cambodian cuisine. It's a cool spot to try something a little different!

The buzz from this high-end cocktail bar is exactly what you want on a Friday evening; From girlfriends sipping their wine to couples laughing and swirling their cocktails, Moon Bar is for the classy and sexy. Abby our server is excellent! A mixologist who knows all the cocktails and can recommend based on your preference. I tried one of their new cocktails with bourbon and did not care for it. Abby made me my mezcal drink that I have ordered before...its the 305 cowboy, an extremely popular drink. A must try for sure! Note: Some bartenders make you feel guilty for saying something about a drink you ordered and did not like. But, here at Moon Bar, Abby was so gracious to make me something that I will enjoy. Hats off to her:) Food: Since it was restaurant week we just shared everything. For starters we ordered the Tuna Tartare that was excellent. Then, we had Piri-Piri Chicken Thighs that were also good but quite spicy. For dessert, we shared the Caribbean Tiramisu, which was great. It was a tough choice between this and the Guava Cheesecake. We were so full that we ended up bringing home leftovers. Oh, I also forgot to mention we always order their Curry Fries - a must try when coming here Trust Me. In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.
