Berries + Cream smoothie (on left) and The Berries smoothie (on right)

I've never been to a Mother Juice before and it was soo good! It's filling yet so refreshing. It was a perfect smoothie to get on a hot summer day. We were shopping on Newbury and wanted something quick but also something that could hold us over and after having these smoothies, we were so full! The ingredients tasted so fresh and delicious combined together. I go The Berries and my friend got The Berries + Cream. We both finished the entire thing. So so good. The inside is a little small but there's a chance you can snag a table. There are also two benches right by the entrance, as well as a table outside you can hangout at. For us, we got our smoothies and kept continuing down Newbury Street. :)

Mother Juice is a great place for healthy bowls, both sweet and savory. It's a small shop, but they do have some tables and seating inside. We built our own fruit bowl with the pink dragon base, adding sun butter, strawberries, bananas, hemp seeds, and quinoa puffs. It was a little pricey for a small bowl, but the ingredient quality was very good. My kid was a fan of the quinoa puffs, and it was a nice change from the usual granola in these types of bowls. For the savory bowl, we chose a bowl with roasted sweet potatoes, black rice, and a bunch of other vegetables. This was delicious. I really appreciated the person working there who, after seeing our small child, warned us that the dressing it came with was spicy, and suggested putting the (spicy) roasted cashews on the side. We swapped the dressing for a not-spicy cilantro lime, and it was a great match. That attention to detail and knowledge of the menu isn't something you find everywhere.

Great quick salads and healthy shakes, I wish they had more options for protein and creatine, not too many places to choose from on Newbury so this will do. Staff is nice and polite. I Order the Ginger Green, also they only have one size, med average cup, the taste wasn't bad but not delicious. 7.6 out of 10 for taste.

I've come in several times within the past week and a half as I recently started working in the area. Every time I have left happy with my order. Açaí bowl has been my goto. Love how freshly prepared each bowl is, filling enough to be a lunch, and a good alternative to some of the heavier options in the area. The staff is friendly. There are five small tables inside as well as one outside so it's a nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy your meal and time.

Eh, nothing special, you know? Got the mango green smoothie which wasn't a refreshing, thick, juicy drink like you'd hope...but it wasn't bad. (It was a bit watery though, oh and on the warmer side too--eh). Pricey run of the mill hipster green smoothies and on Newbury at that, so don't expect cheap drinks. Pretty expensive. You could totally make something better at home. A whole blender-full for the same amount of money. But for the experience?! Sip away! Sure, why not. Oh. And their plastic straws are biodegradable if that tickles your fancy.

Had a yummy lunch here today. I ordered the taco bowl and the portion was HUGE. I was able to sub kale for spinach, and the walnut "meat" was deliciously flavorful. The restaurant itself is cute, but seating is limited and the tables outside are kind of awkward. It was also ridiculously loud inside, so it was tough to talk to each other. I didn't order any juice, but it did seem pretty pricey (almost $10 for a cup). I would consider coming again for lunch if I was in the area, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

I love Mother Juice! They have plenty of delicious vegan options including baked goods. The service at this location has always been great! There are a few tables inside and a few outside in summer.

Portion has significantly reduced to 2/3 or less for the açaí bowls. Inconsistent taste as well. They have so much potential and should be getting better as a business. Hoping they'll come around as I'll still go from time to time hoping for good changes.

Quite the interior with all of the plants on the wall. More importantly, the "Life on Mars" smoothie bowl I ordered was amazing! I've had plenty of bowls, usually Nekter (the California benchmark for smoothie bowls), and this beats theirs on flavor. It tastes very refreshing. I especially loved the quality of all of the ingredients, especially the toppings. There was almond butter, whole almonds, granola, coconut, blueberries and strawberries. My only negative comment would be that the portion is on the smaller side for the price paid.

Beautiful interior decor!

Mother Juice is a scrumptious, health-based cafe where you can satisfy your smoothie, rice bowl, or even avocado toast cravings. It's a small space that can fill up quick, so finding a seat can be a hit-or-miss. Their pricing is also pretty steep. I've tried their Overnight Oats bowl ($7.25) which is the best thing on the menu! :- ) It consists of a large helping of overnight oats in almond mylk, a dollop of sun butter, a mix of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, and coconut flakes. It's super filling with loads of nutritious textures packed in a bowl. This can run out fast on the weekends so be sure to have back up bowl in mind. I've also tried their Chia Seed Pudding ($7.25) which is made of chia seeds soaked in coconut mylk, berries, and syrup. It's kind of tasteless so I'd recommend asking for extra syrup for that yummy sweetness factor! I've had their Taco Bowl ($11.95) as well. It consists of kale, spicy black rice, cilantro, walnut "meat", tomatoes, scallions, and slabs of avocado. There's a two-sauce drizzle of vegan queso and lime cilantro dressing. Although this bowl wasn't spicy at all, it was delicious! I appreciated all the fresh ingredients, especially the avocado!!!! I wasn't a huge fan of the vegan queso because it was too overpowering and took away from the experience. I loved the lime cilantro dressing though. :- )

I stopped in riiiight before closing and asked for a few days worth of juices. I'd considered…read moregetting them delivered on DoorDash because I knew it'd be a heavy load to haul like 20 juices. I also asked a bunch of annoying q's about what I saw on DD vs. in store. Malik was patient, helpful, and even saved me $15 ($5/day) from the DD price bc I didn't need bottled water. And I was dreading the haul home until Malik packaged everything up (by day) like you'd expect walking out of a department store. Awesome.

I had a terrible experience at The Thinking Cup at Boston Common…read more On my first visit, I ordered a lox bagel sandwich with cream cheese and smoked salmon. The lettuce looked old, the tomatoes weren't ripe, and although I asked for it to be cut in half, it wasn't. The quality was so poor that I ended up throwing it away. During that first visit, I asked one of the employees if he was the manager. He said he wasn't, but that he "should be." A few days later, I decided to give them another chance. The cashier was pleasant, so I tipped--but the experience quickly went downhill. I ended up speaking with the same employee who was there during my first visit, working behind the counter. He was a male in his mid-to-late 20s with facial hair and said his name was "Jack," although based on his rude behavior, I have no reason to believe that was his real name. After speaking with him, I now understand exactly why he isn't--and shouldn't be--the manager. When I explained my previous experience, he responded, "I really don't care." I was shocked. He repeated it multiple times, was rude, snapped at another employee, and refused to provide any manager or corporate contact information. At that point, I lost my appetite. After leaving the establishment, I gave the sandwich away and fed the lemon bread to the pigeons. The only bright spot was the cashier and another female employee, who were both polite and professional. Even as I was leaving, they kindly said, "Thank you, have a nice day," and seemed sincere. Unfortunately, one person's behavior completely ruined the experience. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location.

I appreciate that their base isn't overly sweet and they give an abundance of toppings for an amazing variety of texture. They also offer some delicious ice cream and smoothie options, perfect for a quick treat on a hot day if you're not craving a full meal but still want something on the healthy side. From my experience, the service is kind and helpful, and the vibes (which are similar across all their locations) feel very pristine and calming. "When you run to the rocks The rocks will be melting…read moreSo, downpresser man, where you gonna' run to?" (Peter Toash) The Pressed Café has eleven locations sprinkled throughout Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We had an excellent lunch experience with a delivery order from their Newton, MA location. We had a Kids Cheese Quesadilla ($8), a Single Pressed Hamburger ($7.75), a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Bagel ($8), a Coconut Curry Bowl ($14), and an Egg White Breakfast Burrito. My Coconut Curry Bowl was great, and pretty close to anything I get at a Thai restaurant. The bowl was loaded with Roasted Carrots, Broccoli, Zucchini, Summer Squash, Red and Green Peppers, Grilled Onions, Pineapple, Spicy Fresno Chili, Cilantro, Lime, House-Made Spicy Coconut Curry Sauce and was served with a side of White Rice and a whole grain pita bread. I added in a rock-bottom $1 surcharge for some grilled chicken cubes. It was a big portion and half of it went in the fridge for the next day. The Pressed Café's menu is very deep with Daily Specials Burgers and Chicken sandwiches, Coffees Smoothies, Raw Juice & Tonics, Acai Bowls, Breakfast All Day(!), Salads & Soup, Kids Meals, Paninis, Signature Bowls, a Vegan Menu, and plenty more. We were very satisfied with our food, value, and portions.
