South Station South Station Acai Bowl
    Craig H.

Looks like they got new containers and downsized portions. I got half a banana and what looks to be 1 full strawberry on the South Station Bowl. Staff are friendly and helpful but this new small container will make me not go back again

i got the old fashioned smoothie and it was not bad! definitely better than some other smoothies i've gotten, but not the best. the old fashioned smoothie has banana, strawberry, raspberry, granola, almonds and agave. you can also choose to add almond or coconut milk. it was $10.50 ish for a 12oz drink - a bit pricey in my opinion. the staff were nice and patient, and it was well staffed. there are plenty of tables and they also have wifi! overall rating: 8/10

Was craving a smoothie bowl, and kwench came to the rescue! Really refreshing south station bowl with granola, strawberries, and banana, and the peanut butter really shone through. I just wish they had greater variety of berries to put on top! Limited seating because it is a very tiny shop, so we had to go eat our bowls elsewhere.

As most people have mentioned, no seating. Very much take and go. Every time I come in here there's always a mob of people reading the menu, so if you know what you want just walk up to the register and order - the mob of people are not actually in line. They have a good selection of juices and smoothies. Prices are alright - around 8 or 9$ depending on what you get, add ons start at 1.50$. Seems pretty on par with what everyone else is charging. Ordering is painless and, as far as my experience goes, you can request substitutions and minor veggie add-ins in the smoothies and juices for no extra cost. Juices/smoothies themselves are what you would get anywhere else - when you're blending a bunch of raw fruits and veggies together there isn't much one shop can do to differentiate itself from others. Usually orders come out pretty quickly but sometimes they get really backlogged - once they ran out of some ingredient after having taken a bunch of orders and everyone basically had to wait 20 minutes (a long time for lunch or a drink!) before orders started coming out again. Texture can be a little rough on the smoothies but overall everything tastes really good. Overall, I really like Kwench and their location is super convenient. I don't have a huge sweet tooth so I appreciate that a lot of their drinks are more on the tangy side and not drowning in honey.

Best place for a smoothie Downtown. Delicious and affordable! Beach Bomb, Gaby, and Marty are my favorite smoothies! Service here is friendly as well.

It pains me to give this spot 1 star but I have to because of their consistent shady business practices. Two times now I've ordered a large juice ($10 each) and they gave me a malls ($6 each). Each time they handed me a small and when I said I paid for a large they apologized and offered to remake me a large but it takes so long in the first place who really wants to wait a second time. The first time I was annoyed and brushed it off but the second time (today) I just think they're shady .. It's not that hard to get it right- it's either small or large stop screwing me over Also, they HALF fresh squeeze your juice on the spot and the other half of your juice is some unknown premade juice they fill in. So not really fresh and make on the spot Not a fan..

I had the Açailicious bowl. I really liked it! It could've had a bit more granola but overall really good. Highly recommended.

Pretty extensive menu for a smoothie place

As the previous reviewer said, there is no seating - but everything is fresh and delicious. A little pricey but worth it. My one gripe: I wish they had wider straws! I keep getting bits of delicious smoothie stuck in my straw.

But I guess with everything going on in the world, it is what it is as long as the value matches the price. I told the lady at the desk about my quest for mostly fruits, but maybe veggies as well and got recommended the Mediterranean Bowl. It was very delicious and I couldn't finish it in one go. Also appreciate it having quinoa instead of rice. Huge fan of coconut and bought the Majikal Coconut as well (price made me a bit nervous). It contains coconut juice, meat and blue majik (HIGHLY advise that you drink it as soon as you buy). My 3rd item was an acai bowl which I had for dinner and it was well done and also filled me up for the night. The business itself is well kept, bright and colorful. It's small, but has two seats near the windows. Really appreciate Cocobeet having labels for their items in the fridge showing not only the price, but what it does for the body! First of all, the pastry case just beautifully displays all the baked goods. It's quite a sight to see! I love the variety and flavors, very unique. If you know what you want, gotta get in line and grab it quick! If you wanna put in your own order, you can use the kiosk, which is really fun to use. I ordered a chai with oat milk (it's very light in flavor) and got a bialy. Honestly I had not had a bialy in over 25+ years... and was surprised to see it in the case and I had to have it. A corn + cheddar bialy. It did NOT disappoint. I also got london fog with oat milk previously, also very nice, but this place was soooo good we had to come back. My daughter loves pop tarts so when she saw it in the case, she got a blueberry pop tart and said it was very flakey and the jam was very jamful. It was the-last-one, even had the sign stuck in it!! She also got the french toast (2 slices) with kid's milk and said it was the best french toast she's ever had. My sis got a chocolate pain suisse, which I had never seen before. It's basically brioche filled with pastry cream and chocolate. It looked delicious and with coffee, my sis ate the whole thing up. All in all, this place has so much delicious eats.. I can understand if you live here, you could come every morning and still not get to everything in the pastry case! Definitely be back if we're in the Boston area again.

We walked into a location that is easy to miss if you are not already familiar with the building, but once inside it functions as a convenient stop when exploring the neighborhood or looking for a quick drink break. The setup is fairly simple, with counter service and access to the shared seating throughout the mall, which gives it a bit more room to sit than a typical standalone shop. The menu is extensive and covers everything from traditional milk teas and fruit teas to some of Happy Lemon's signature cheese foam drinks. The salted cheese series remains one of the more distinctive offerings and is what helped separate the brand from many other bubble tea chains when it first expanded. The combination of sweet tea and lightly salty cheese foam sounds unusual at first, but it creates a balance that works surprisingly well. We ordered the black tea with salted cheese, and the creaminess of the foam against the bold tea base made it easy to see why this drink has built such a following over the years. Beyond the cheese series, there are plenty of options for different preferences. The taro milk tea is a popular choice, while the grapefruit green tea offers something lighter and more refreshing. We appreciated the ability to customize sweetness levels, which is worth taking advantage of since some drinks can lean sweeter than expected at the default setting. The waffle snacks are another menu item that stands out, particularly for anyone looking for something small to pair with their drink rather than ordering tea alone. They come out warm and crisp, making them a nice complement to the cold drinks. Service tends to move quickly, which is important given the steady flow of students, office workers, and shoppers passing through the area. The staff were efficient, and our order was prepared without much of a wait. Being located inside a busy downtown shopping center also makes it a convenient grab-and-go option, though the shared seating in the mall allows for a brief pause if you want to sit and enjoy your drink before heading back out. Happy Lemon remains a reliable stop for the salted cheese series and a broad menu of tea options. It is not a destination in itself, but for a quick drink while exploring Chinatown or the surrounding area, it delivers on consistency and variety without overcomplicating the experience.

While the menu is entirely vegetarian with many vegan options, it feels approachable whether you are looking for a healthy lunch, a filling dinner, or just a smoothie or coffee. We walked into the Back Bay location, which has a bright, inviting interior filled with natural light, plants, and plenty of seating, creating a calm atmosphere that feels more like a neighborhood café than a typical fast-casual restaurant. The design is modern and clean, with a warm energy that makes it the kind of place where you can enjoy a meal at your own pace, meet a friend, or even spend some time working. The grain and noodle bowls are the main reason to visit. They are built around fresh vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and flavorful sauces that make each bowl feel substantial without being overly heavy. We appreciated that every ingredient tasted fresh, and the different textures kept each bite interesting. The spicy peanut noodles are one of the standout dishes, combining chewy noodles with crisp vegetables and a rich, savory sauce that has just enough heat without overwhelming the rest of the flavors. The falafel is another solid choice, with a crispy exterior and soft interior that pairs well with the fresh vegetables and creamy sauces. Beyond the bowls, there is a good variety of options depending on what you are in the mood for. The menu includes açaí bowls, salads, wraps, soups, smoothies, fresh juices, and coffee, making it easy to stop by at almost any time of day. The menu also changes with seasonal ingredients, giving returning visits some variety while still keeping the café's focus on fresh, healthy food. Even if you are not vegetarian, the meals are filling enough that they never feel like they are missing anything. The café itself has a relaxing atmosphere that encourages you to stay a while. The modern design, abundance of plants, and comfortable seating make it feel much more welcoming than many grab-and-go lunch spots in the area. The ordering process is straightforward, and the staff were friendly throughout our visit. During busier lunch hours, food can take a little longer to prepare since everything is made to order, so keeping that in mind is worth it if you are on a tight schedule. The seating area stays comfortable even when the café fills up, and the energy of the room remains calm and focused. Life Alive Organic Cafe stands out because it proves that healthy food can still be satisfying and full of flavor. The fresh ingredients, diverse menu, and comfortable atmosphere make it an easy place to return to whether you are looking for a quick lunch, a lighter dinner, or simply a break from heavier meals. If you are in Back Bay and want a meal that feels nourishing without sacrificing taste, this is a café well worth adding to your list.
