Love their stuff, especially their clothes. The only problem is that 90% or more of the beautiful clothes you see are all "one size". 'One size' usually does not fit anyone nicely... too large for small people, and too small for large people. It seems like just a very cheap way to go when there are whole stores of clothing offering everything in just 'one size' (and Coco Rose is certainly not the only store to do this). It is just frustrating and annoying and disappointing to see clothes you love and can afford but know the one size option is not gonna work. I can not understand why there can not be at least 3 sizes made, such as XS/S, M/L, and XL/XXL to give people more options. Other than that, its a cool store with friendly employees and decent prices for being in a tourist area. read more

I needed a gift basket delivered on a Saturday. Oddly enough, I didn't realize that is a big order. No one makes 'just gift baskets' to be delivered in a day. All I wanted was some fruit and nuts and snacks, was willing to spend $100. I called this little shop around 9:20 am and right away I knew they were going to save my life. Not only did they say they would totally do it, they apologized it would take a little time because they had to run to the store to hand pick the fruits and find the right nuts and snacks. If only every store offered this kind of customer service Amazon would be out of business. Are you kidding me? Walking by the shop and seeing all the knicknacks in it I thought this would be a place that should have postcards. And sure enough they did... a tiny selection of 15 or so cards. Priced at 1 for $2.99 or 2 for $5.00?! Wow talk about ridiculous. The cards were not that original at all either. A few pictures of dogs with surfboards (ok I give that that one was cute) but not for that price. They have a bunch of really cheesy greeting cards and some stuff that perhaps my grandmother would like. There were a few knick knacks there that weren't horrible- some tiki beach stuff and a few little things that had the 50s pictures with little ribbons of text that said silly things "The best rebound boyfriend ever" - a picture of a woman with a dog. I would have LOVED to have seen this 50s stuff that people were talking about... I only saw that small section though. There was one thing that was decent- a flask that said something about how some like juice but some like daiquiris. I didn't look around too much. It didn't really appeal to me. And quite frankly I fail to see what was so kitsch about it. Maybe that's the LA talking or something though... it takes a lot to impress me in that department. read more

I'm rating this business 2/5 primarily for lacking customer service. I love supporting small businesses but my experience here left a bad taste in my mouth. I purchased an item (sweatshirt) and within 24 hours discovered it was too large. I returned to the store with the intent of exchanging it for another of the same style, one size smaller. They did not have any on hand. I asked if they had any others in their inventory, and they stated what was on the floor was all they had. I then requested to just return the item for a refund and was told Queen Eileen's would not refund but offer store credit for any other item of my choice. I'm not especially choosy, but the sweatshirt was really the only thing in the store I would have considered purchasing (far too kitschy for me otherwise). They did offer to ship me a new sweatshirt once they got more inventory in. I agreed and left contact info with them to do so. Two weeks later I still had not received the item, let alone heard anything from the store about the status. I called them and was told it would be another 2 weeks before they even received more inventory and at that point I re-stated my desire for a refund. The employee informed me that they would go ahead and refund me for the price of what I originally paid. I gave her my full contact info and she stated the refund would be in the mail soon. Three weeks later, I still hadn't heard anything or received anything in the mail. I contacted the store via Facebook to try and finally resolve the matter and what I received back was what I consider excuses with a hint of attitude. Believe me, I was not scrapping over money. I am dismayed at the apparent indifference they would show a customer, not to mention allow me to walk away with such a poor impression of their business and how they deal with customer issues. I put the onus on them to let ME know the progress of an issue; you don't make the customer do it. My advice: give this store your business and look for the "well posted" refund policy so you don't find yourself in a similar bind someday. read more

It is one of the most fun stores to visit. The salespeople are friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and just plain fun to talk to. The merchandise ranges from beautiful to quirky. Specialty items and gag gifts to suit all occasions. I am especially fond of the Bali Queen jewelry. So reasonably priced and very well made. I bought bracelets and earrings for myself and several gifts for friends and family. The gift baskets are also outstanding. Artfully done and filled with yummy merchandise. Rhine stoned and HEAVILY magnetized figural pieces in shapes of lips, musical notes, etc. that display on the outside of your bag and are held TIGHTLY in place by a round magnet inside the bag. This magnet in turn holds your keys wherever you want them. Thus, you never have to go scrambling through your purse again. I think I forgot to mention her 50% off section. They have really cute things. Really great gag novelty items. However, I bought candy and she didn't have any gloves on and I could tell she was sick. She kept clearing her throat and such. Also their receipt doesn't show the items you purchased and it gives you just the total. I noticed that I was overcharged and she gave me a refund but I believe that I was still not refunded the correct amount. Also the chocolate I bought didn't taste good at all and I ended up just throwing them away because I couldn't enjoy them because I remember her coughs. Also she dropped the whole tray of candy I was trying to see if that she threw them all away but I couldn't tell. But I do know that she put some of the candy back that had fallen on the countertop. read more
