Parking- I just did the paid parking in the structure since it was closer. It was $8 for 2 hours. The komodama class was around $70 and you get to take home 2 you've made. The instructor was patient, helpful and had good instructions. The group had many follow up questions and he explained things well. They gave us a good assortment to choose from to make the kokadama. After we finished making them, we wanted cute vases and the instructor helped us find the best fitting one for our plant. The whole store is filled with adorable plants and accessories. I walked out of there thinking I'll be able to keep my plants alive but it's a serious challenge. Overall, highly recommend taking a class from Pigment. It's a fun way to have a day date where you use your hands and enjoy their beautiful outside patio.

They carry many items for different needs/tastes and times of the year. We've passed by these stores (A & B) many times in the past and finally got to shop here. It's a cute boutique beach store in the perfect spot of Del Mar. Off the L'Auberge Hotel on the way to the nice park that overlooks the Pacific. The customer service is amazing! The young lady that worked both shops was very welcoming, helpful and professional.

Sometimes her husband or mom will be there working as well. All are so great to be around. The items are unique, beautiful and creative. You can shop for clothing, decor, lamps, home decor, etc.. This store has it all. Neiki makes her own jewelry. She is one diligent lady. Every time I come to town I need to stop in this shop. It is my favorite. I was concerned about the hype and commercialism. Turns out that my concerns were valid. My advice...read the reviews before you go. My husband was interested so we bought the combined experience. The ticket price is ridiculous for essentially a one hour light show. The staff is friendly and provide instructions upon arrival. We arrived early and used the time to visit the gift shop. There were some good items, but they were mostly focused on Van Gogh. I was disappointed there was not more Monet merchandise. There is an "education area" before you go into the experience. Aside from reading the walls, there isn't much in the way of education. I thought the display was creative with the use of color and light and large sheer banners hanging from the ceiling. A few minutes before the show starts, you line up with a lot of other people. They tell you to walk around for the best experience. Unfortunately, the space is too small with people packed in so there is no way to walk around. Basically you are stuck in one place the entire time unless you want to push your way to a different spot. Floors are concrete, so standing for a while is uncomfortable. There were no seats other than a few benches scattered around. They should have been reserved as handicap. The Van Gogh experience is first and very slow to get started. There is no narration. Occasionally quotes appear in both French and English. Depending on the way you are facing, you may not see one or the other. There were some parts I really enjoyed, the flowers and starry night parts in particular. The Van Gogh part is about 30 minutes. We bought the combined tickets so we thought the Monet part would start immediately after. We were wrong! They replay the Van Gogh part and start Monet about 15 minutes in. I was extremely disappointed in the Monet experience and could have been so much better. We actually left after 10 minutes. There are so many missed opportunities for this experience. My recommendation would be to increase the size significantly so that people can walk as the show progresses. Being confined to a small space with a bunch of strangers is not fun. I think this experience would be okay for younger people or others who are not art enthusiasts. If you are really curious, go see the Van Gogh part. That's more than enough.
