One of my favorite gift shops in San Diego! The staff here are so helpful and knowledgeable and eager to help you find the perfect gift. This place isn't cheap but you're going to get quality items. Floral Palette on Girard St in La Jolla is a visually amazing store that sells mostly home decor, limited clothing for men, women and small kids. It all reminds me of another store called Anthropologie but this place has less clothing. After having a savory bakery treat from Parisien Gourmandises which is accessible by going inside Floral Palette. I walked through the store and browse through merchandise on display. A few things that caught my attention were the Voluspa scented reed diffusers, which I had purchased in the past from Barney's and Neiman Marcus. I prefer reed diffusers over candles for less hazard and more safety. Also, liked some of the collection of tinted stemware...these items are pricey but might be worth it for some. Despite me trying to flag down someone for assistance, the two female staffers pretend to ignore me and continue doing whatever seems to be more interesting than a potential buyer. As much as I like some of the goods, if service isn't even at par, I probably will not shop there. It's unfortunate for them to lose out on prospective customers since the french cafe is going more business. I suggest they should be more proactive in better customer service. The french cafe's service is outstanding and they should take serious notes. For now, due to none existing service, I cannot recommend Floral Palette. Pass! read more

Cozy, relaxed, and thoughtfully curated, the space is filled with all the little luxuries you need to unwind: artisan pastries, rich coffee and tea, soft lounge wear, gourmet chocolates, beautiful cosmetics, and elegant fragrances. I stopped in needing a bouquet for a newly engaged couple heading to dinner in La Jolla, and the team whipped up the most gorgeous arrangement in no time -- it was absolutely perfect. She goes out of her way to be rude and dismissive to customers and can rid you of your good cheer with absolute dispatch. I had previously had such good interactions with her employees and had wanted to continue to support this local, woman-owned business selling overpriced tchotchkes but had the misfortune of interacting with her today. She seemed to relish insulting not just me (while I was patiently waiting to pay and even as i was paying -- wow) but also other customers. A curious business model, to say the least. My daughter and I went in today to browse because the store is beautiful and had a stunning selection of products that we noticed while walking down the street. The minute the blond haired female employee, who was working on a floral arrangement, made eye contact she gave me the stink eye. She even did a once over of me from head to toe. I probably don't look like the average LA Jolla clientele because I'm a curvy mom who lives in shorts and t- shirts. I have never felt so judged and unwelcome in my life. I let my daughter finish browsing and didn't let her know anything was happening because she was happy as can be looking at the merchandise. Honestly, if it weren't for the rude looks I continually received while shopping, I would have let her get whatever she wanted, but they lost my patronage due to this woman's horrible rudeness and lack of basic human decency. this review is for the bakery located in the back of the store. my friend bought me a slice of cake (i believe it's called le royal) and it was AMAZING. possibly the best cake i've ever had. it was like a decadent chocolate ganache and mousse cake with a crispy bottom of some sort. a slice was $9 which is on the pricier side. i tried going back to get some more cake but unfortunately, they're not open on weekends right now. i was able to get their business card and the Floral Palette sales associate let me know that I could also call to place a custom order. read more

Wow!! What a beautiful store full of bitter older women. I wandered into this store, hoping I could speak to someone about flowers for my mother's 60th party. Not one but four employees just chatting it up, and not once did someone acknowledge me. I browsed around for 15 mins and even smiled at one lady, still nothing. She could not even smile back or say hello. Nothing about this place gave me a good feeling to place a few thousand on beautiful flowers. This is the best store for beautiful flower arrangements and gifts for every age! They have the cutest section for kids and I love that they have the best quality and most unique items you can find. Carly is so sweet and always helps me find what I'm looking for but everyone at this store is friendly and helpful!
