i was with my aunt and cousin last week and we stumbled upon this little shop. i thought it seemed cute, we walked in the ac was running and it seemed like a nice place. while the clothes weren't my personal interest, i thought it seemed great for others. my aunt was taking photos of the place, just like 1-4 ish as she loves that type of stuff. when we walked into the room where the cashier was, she saw my aunt take a photo of the hats or something. with an angry voice and demeanor, she asked "are you taking a video?!?", she replied "no" but the cashier continued and said "are- are you sure!?!" and my aunt about to lose her temper calmed down and said "no, i was just taking a couple pictures of the place" and the cashier still seemed a bit annoyed but continued to do her errand or whatever. this quite shocked me and while i understand that perhaps the cashier who i later found out (i believe!) was the owner or co-owner most likely didn't want a video of herself i feel like she could've handled the situation differently. either way i also read the reviews of this place the second we walked out and realized the main problem of the place is its customer service and support. and that's pretty much the foundation of a business. how you treat your customers. have a good day God bless read more

I absolutely love this boutique! They have the cutest outfits. Everything is so stylish, on trend, and reasonably priced. While there are a few higher-end pieces, it's definitely not your average overpriced boutique. Their clothes, accessories, and even the home goods are adorable and thoughtfully curated. Sophie, the owner, is so sweet, friendly, and genuinely personable; she makes the shopping experience even better. 10/10 would recommend Salt Culture! read more

I'm not a big one to review clothing shops, but this store and its owners plus fantastic staff separate it from any chain store I've been in. Up front of this very beach cottage is womenswear and some really cool housewares. Plus sunglasses that literally jumped onto Debs face and haven't come off since. But it's the vibe of help not sell that I love. Same for the back store that is Rob Machedo's store. His clothing line plus other menswear are again the perfect beach ware without the hype. Like Rob himself, it's about chill. His surfboard line is also available in the back. If you're cruising around Encinitas, this is a must visit! read more

For the guys, go to the small store around back and get a cool Rob Machado (world famous Pipeline Masters surfer) t-shirt or sweatshirt! The staff is very friendly. Beautiful clothes and home goods. So nicely displayed, and such pleasant staff. Wish I had some photos to post with my review. Walked by the shop, one look in the window, and I had to go in. High quality fabrics, and rich nuetral colors make clothes investment pieces you'll wear for years. From what I saw fun tops start at $12 to $16, beautiful dresses are $75. Yay! Finally a great little boutique in Encintas that raises it up a notch. I passed this adorable shop last week when I was out walking with my husband. It's has very hip clothes and home items that are perfect for coastal lifestyle. I wanted everything in this store! I went back yesterday and bought two little additions for my home! Discovered this gem of a boutique while in town from L.A. for the weekend. Found a great wedding gift- cheese boards & brass knives. Candles & lace bralettes. Here's why I love it: The owner was absolutely in her element, passionate, welcoming, informed about the products she carried, attentive, and cared about me finding the right things I loved. (Not just making a sale) Many home decor objects from around the globe. Good Prices Clean, open design. And- literally everything you see is for sale. There's great furniture pieces in there! I can't really speak to the front section of this store. It's a women's boutique and I'm neither fashionable nor a woman. Got a sneak peek of the back/only soft opened men's section last week though, and it's amazing! It's a converted granny flat and literally feels like you're hanging out in Rob Machado's man-cave. Lined with magazine clippings, amazing photos and music memorabilia. No joke, there's even a trophy of his for being inducted into the surf hall of fame! Not sure if it's real or a replica? You can buy rad men's surf clothing and custom boards or just hang out on the couch and pretend you're boys with Jack Johnson. Either way this place was a museum of amazing local culture. read more

So bummed we had a terrible experience. I really wanted to support local. My husband bought me a super cute dress for more than we would typically spend. It was a birthday gift, and he shopped early. Unfortunately, the dress didn't quite fit, so I went to exchange it. It was in perfect condition on a hanger with tags still on. However, because of their extremely small exchange window (2 weeks!) and the fact my husband had shopped early, I had missed their deadline. Now, I can understand small boutiques can't take out of season returns, but the same dress was still being sold in the store! I would have traded sizes or taken a store credit, but they wouldn't offer any options. Just said it's "their policy". So now I'm stuck with a $130 dress that doesn't fit. Needless to say, we won't be shopping there again. Such a disappointment. read more

I felt super uncomfortable in this boutique because the staff kept whispering about me/staring, responding rudely, and following me around the store as if they thought I would try to steal. I felt like I was being watched and followed much more than the other shoppers because I was speaking to my mother in Arabic. On my way to the campground I finally got a chance to check out this cute little shop yesterday 6/4/17. Its a well decorated boutique filled with an assortment of items. There's clothing, accessories, jewelry, home goods, grooming products for men and women, furniture, and even some boards. I loved the layout, and everything was arranged so nicely that it was just nice to look at. It was so cute! There are 2 "rooms" inside as well as the outside patio. I was already running late to meet with family so I didnt stay as long as I wanted to. I did take some time to examine the jewelry and try on some rings. Pricing was pretty fair, and it runs on both the high and low side. I didnt catch her name, but the blonde haired young lady was really polite. When I told her I was somewhat in a rush, she let me know that they were open on Mondays now (they used to be closed on Mondays) and that I was always welcome to come back. Thank goodness because some of those rings are to die for! Will definitely be back! read more

I used to shop here A LOT but I bought a pair of jeans that stretched out down to my knees so when I went back for a store credit they said no, that since I wore them there would be no refund. I explained that without wearing them I would've never known they were defective! They stayed with their policy so I left the jeans there and I won't be returning. It's too bad, i only shop at boutiques and found they had cute things but to have a customer service policy that doesn't take into account for defects is just too short sighted .
