This is a charming and quaint store that is a great place to find gifts! For myself and my daughter, I've bought the 'San Diego' candle--there are other candle scents as well named after towns/suburbs of San Diego but I like 'San Diego' the best. The owners and staff are friendly and I learned that the candles are made locally and there are no chemicals. For other gifts, I've bought the olive oil, heart-shaped soaps. Good price at $10.00-They will gift wrap for you too--the horoscope magnets make humorous gifts too. I'm a local but I find this store one of my favorites in downtown Encinitas. This store is adorable and carries many things from home decor, to art, to clothing, candles, and more! I ended up walking out with 4 pieces of clothing which was definitely not in my agenda today but they had such cute clothes I had to. Better yet, the lovely ladies working this shop were so kind and so so helpful. When I found a slight tear in the thread, she quickly offered to fix it for me and did an excellent job. The price was pretty fair if you ask me. At boutiques I'm used to seeing very expensive clothes over $100 but each of my dresses were in the $50-60 range. That can still be considered pricey, but honestly given clothing prices these days and how much boutiques charge, I consider this to be good pricing. Stumbled into this little store as my bf and I were walking around. We were captivated by the smell of the store tbh, hahahah, and wanted to know which candle was the one that smelled so good. It took us a couple minutes to realize that the store smelled good because of ALL the candles they had, lmao. I wish they could bottle up that scent! But yeah the scent wasn't super overwhelming tho, so don't worry. This shop was so fun to walk around! They had women's clothing, paintings, Knick knacks and pieces for your office, living room, kitchen, and restroom. Side note, they have a dressing room in the back as well! We both ended up getting candles and the lady who rang us up was super laidback and welcoming. I ended up walking out and right back in to grab a candle as a gift. The lady was so nice! She offered to gift wrap it in tissue paper and a bag with ribbons tied to it. (((: My boyfriend also ended up getting me a fancy pen with an artificial aurora quarts stone at the end and I have not stopped using it! It's so pretty and writes so well! Ps. Awesome local shop among the south coast highway strip. They offer candles, bedding, lotions, clothing, and an array of artwork. Pretty decently priced as well. Such a cute local boutique right on 101 in Encinitas. I was actually going to brunch nearby when I came upon this cute shop and spotted some awesome accent chairs outside. They have great local artwork and housewares. If you have any sort of coastal vibe to your house, you should check this place out. From lotions and candles to furniture and large art pieces, there is something for everyone. If you're a "local" and I find there aren't many of us, this is a great spot to buy little things with the local beaches on them. Breanne is an absolute doll. Super sweet and helpful. She buys a lot of the merchandise, so she has a great knowledge about the products and isn't pushy. Try and find a parking spot behind the building. We've never had an issue finding a decent parking spot. PS I love my chairs! I will definitely be coming back just to check their stock. read more

I just love it here. The coolest assortment of Beach Art, the yummiest candles and lotions and lots of home accessories. Did I mention they have clothes and furniture? I love when they feature artist in the store and have a get together. You get to meet the artists and get a glimpse into what they want to achieve or how they used their talents to create the pieces they have. Just looking turned into just buying. This stuff is just too cool. Moving to the area and haven't moved into the new place yet - so they're kind enough to deliver the goods once I move into the new chalet. Kind of felt like I was buying a stereo for a car I didn't own yet so put one in the win column for spontaneity. I can be a little picky when it comes to furnishings. It reflects our own unique style and finding my own definition of cool isn't easy. Bliss nails it. It's beautiful, it's quality, and it's furniture that will outlive me. Went in on a weekend to look for a specific piece of furniture. A staff member tried to sell us the floor model, which had issues, so we inquired about a new one. They were having a sale so we asked if the sale price would extend to an order not just what was in the store. We were told a manager would get back to us and they never did. I used to love this store but my second time around visiting I wasn't impressed. Maybe I had high expectations from my last visit but it's seems to have the same selection of artists that are popular to the media but have no talent to it. Every gallery in Encinitas has the same selection of surf and ocean art. I thought Bliss 101 was more unique but seems to be like everyone else which doesn't surprise me. Now for this gallery it's about money and not talent. Not that the selections were bad, just nothing impressive.
