    Carne asada tacos

Had dinner at Cocina 10 before a show at the Arizona Financial Theater. Love the decor, can't wait for patio weather so we can enjoy the big patio out front! This is a cute restaurant with high ceilings and lots of seating. It was very quiet when we arrived at 5:00 p.m. for dinner before the show. A later show was scheduled at the Crescent Ballroom but the patrons were not yet evident. Service was prompt and excellent, very friendly and kept drinks and waters full. My friend drink white wine, I had margaritas. Server gave me a choice of rim and I chose tajin. I liked the margaritas a lot, and they were a great deal on happy hour, so I had three. We were walking, not driving, so it didn't matter! Chips and salsa, elote, rice, carne asada tacos! My friend ordered a gigantic burrito larger than her hand. I do not recall what was inside, but she ate it all! The tacos were excellent, the elote was nicely flavored, off the cob and not drowned in cream. The rice was properly loose grains not sticky and had a nice flavor. I eat a lot of Mexican food, but I really want to come back again to Cocina 10 for another chance to try more of their menu!

I was excited to try Cocina 10 before attending The Moth this month. My friend really hyped up their bean burritos. The food is good but service was a bit slow. I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back unless I was going to a show a well. That being said, I did enjoy the food and it is worth a try! We tried the chips and salad, elote, taquitos, and a pacific chicken taco.

The food was good and the atmosphere had a great vibe. Unfortunately, it was not worth the hype after my ok experience. We ordered a chip and salsa but they brought chips with the salsa in a bottle not as a dip, so you would need to add salsa to a plate or directly to the chip. I also got the Mexican side salad and hotdog I'd rate a 6/10.

Will definitely come back when I have more than 10 minutes to eat. I loved the food was great! The staff was also very good. Like I said I only had like 10 minutes to get a meal in and they were quick with the service.

We tried a plethora of dishes and everything was delicious. The margaritas were also so tasty! Definitely recommend the Sonora hot dog and al pastor tacos.

Carne asada and a jack fruit taco ( vegetarian option)

Last night after our long day we went to cocina10 inside @crescentballroomphx . Theses tacos were so delicious. I love the way the carne casada was prepared super flavorful and cooked medium temperature. ‍ Menu has vegetarian and vegan options: I ordered the jackfruit taco. My first time trying one and I can definitely say it was delicious. The appetizer order was a bean cheese dip and a guacamole dip. It was freshly made guacamole. The bean cheese dip was pretty good as well. I was at bit nervous with the club right through the curtains but the food overall was 9/10. The style is modern dark lighting wooden decor. My servicer was on it. She came to our table 3 times the drink service was slow but that's because the club goers cut through the restaurant part and stop at the bar. you can see them ordering their drinks there. But overall I recommend a visit.

Casa Corazon Restaurant - Steak Mexicano

I'm so glad we finally went to try Casa Corazon. We met with a friend visiting from out of town…read moreduring lunch, and everyone absolutely loved it. The restaurant is inside of an old brick home with wood interior and warm colors. The service was good-- friendly and food came out at a good pace, we were checked on regularly. We ordered an appetizer and then entrees from the lunch menu. The aguachile appetizer is SO good. It's bright, fresh, and has a lot of flavor in the green sauce. It reminds me of a ceviche type dish due to its raw butterflied shrimp that is marinated in the house made chile serrano & cilantro citrus sauce. It was awesome. We were also given free chips & house made bean dip. I ordered the mixed two item plate with a chile rellano and taco corazon (grilled taco dipped in a red chile sauce, stuffed with shredded beef & melted cheese. Topped with grilled onions). The black beans and rice is also tasty. I tried a bite of the other dishes, and I also really liked the brightly colored spinach & cheese enchiladas with pink sauce ( signature beet sauce). I look forward to trying other items from the menu, I was eyeing the steak Mexicano or red snapper. Those dishes sound good for dinner.

The restaurant has a small bar of three seats to enjoy some drinks.. initially we were just going to have margaritas for six dollars during happy hour but decided to have guacamole as well for $10 on happy hour. Guacamole was excellent and came with a bean dip. To complement, our guacamole and chips we checked out the salsa bar. The salsa bar has over six choices of salsa. One of my favorite salsas was hibiscus. We enjoyed our quick happy hour so much that we hope to come back for dinner as I see Mole is on the menu. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I hear that they have open a second venue not too far from the original place. They have an event venue. Their original place is in a former church. The architecture inside is very interesting due to the roof structure.

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.
