I ordered the pad peanut sauce with tofu and rice, along with the pad kee mao. The food was pretty good, with reasonable portion sizes. It was served quickly, though the service could have been a bit better.

This place was so cute! They had a lot of other food trucks and tables to sit at. I got the pad Thai with tofu and it was very good. I would have liked it a little spicier but other than that this was a solid pad Thai

In the food truck park near Zilker and Barton Springs, conveniently located if you want to keep the spirit of a picnic-style type of day. Please note this rating is for food trucks, and not to be compared to restaurant ratings. So, service is minimal and a smile goes a long way and the ambiance is usually outdoors. Coat and Thai was rated Top 10 Best Thai by City Search in 2011-2012, and I don't disagree. Good portions, and interestingly served. Ordered the chicken Pad Thai, so it can either be good, really good, or a total fail. Fairly simple dish, yea? This was indeed good. What I appreciated most about this dish is that it wasn't overwhelmed with sauce and had a decent amount of chicken. It was missing egg and some greens, like other restaurants may do, but overall it was a solid dish and accessible by a food truck. FYI anyone in a tree has access to the bathroom key!

Had just left watching the bats on Congress bridge when we felt kind of hungry. Stopped in at The Picnic food truck park. A lot of the food trucks were already closed. Just a couple open. I got Pad Thai at Coat & Thai. Really hit the spot. I didn't think I was that hungry, but once I started, I was inhaling it. Noodles are cooked perfectly, very tasty. Lots of flavor. They gave a lot of crushed peanuts on the side. And a juicy lime wedge. The noodles them self were wrapped in foil to keep warm. I got some napkins and chop sticks at their food truck stand. The park itself is pretty big. The trucks are in an outer circle around the picnic tables. It's mostly covered. It's in the dirt, so don't wear your bright white shoes. Had a great view of the full moon. Which was wonderful. Food was delicious and the service was friendly.

Best food!!!

Best Thai in town hands down!! Pad thai, spring rolls, yellow curry, pineaplle fried rice!! All of them are delicious!!! Yes to Coat and Thai! Serving Austin for many years, they are the best

This truck is a regular at this food park/station or whatever you call it. Someone said it's a long wait but worth it so had to check it out for myself. Ordered the eggrolls and a pad see ew. Then I waited for about 20 minutes. After wondering if it would be worth the wait, my order was ready and I dove in. After the first few bites of the pad see ew, I understand why the wait is as they make every order from scratch which explains the freshness and authenticity of the noodles, veggies, egg, and tofu. One of the better pad see ew's I've tasted. The eggrolls weren't that spectacular but had a nice crunch and paired well with their sweet and spicy dipping sauce. Next time I'm here I'll be doing that Thai Basil fried rice. Saw someone order it and after the first bite, made a face that looked like someone was giving him an inappropriate yet pleasurable feeling related to adult situations. With that said, I'll end this review and see myself out.

Pretty good pad Thai! The noodles were a bit too thin for my preference, but the taste was great. I don't think I would get the shrimp again, probably chicken instead. Didn't wait long, but felt the portion size was small for what I paid compared to other Thai restaurants I've been to.

We always come here for Thai. Their pad Thai is amazing, the portion size could be a little bigger but that's my only hang up here

Ok. Too busy talking and didn't get pictures but trust me the food is good. We were a party of 12…read moreand they were able to accommodate us. We ordered the cheese roll, pork bely, khon wings, brussel sprouts, fried tofu, pad see ew, Massaman curry, roti, pandang beef, moo ping, tum tad, crab fried rice, pineapple fried rice and all of it was amazing. Found this place as it was a recommendation from someone who was in the Thai restaurant business and came highly recommended. I am definitely going back but would love it if the owners would consider opening a place in the Lakeway area.

I ordered over the phone, which was an easy and quick process. They said it would be ready in 20…read moremin and it was. The restaurant itself has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. It seems like a nice place to have a meal. As for the food, we ordered: Pad thai with chicken, mild spice - unfortunately this was a bit dry for me, though the taste was good. Pad see ew with chicken - I liked their version and would probably get it again. Pad woon sen with pork - typically my favorite noodle dish and I think they did a good job. Garden roll - good but not as packed as others I've had, and at a higher price point. Pineapple fried rice with pork - I liked this but was a bit on the oily side. Tom kha soup - I thought this was very good and had a decent amount of chicken and mushrooms Overall I liked everything but some items I felt I had better versions of elsewhere. It's also on the pricier side. Still, if in central Austin I think it's a solid choice for Thai food.

The 2 spicy level was perfect. - Pad Thai (Beef) - They put a lot of dried chili pepper flakes, I thought it was going to be very spicy. It wasn't. It was fine - Dang! Hands down my favorite place in Austin. The food, team, and vibe of the restaurant is spectacular…read more I feel you can never go wrong with a dish here (from the items I have tried). My favorite dish is definitely the Old School Pad Thai. I will say I did not expect to have the Pad Thai as my top dish during my visit. Being in Austin for the last 5 years I have forgotten what a good Pad Thai is like because this dish just melts in your mouth and genuinely feels like the real deal. This dish has so much flavor from spice, umami, sweet, sour, incorporating everything so nicely together. If you plan on stopping by, please do yourself a favor and try the pad thai. The dish I felt fell short would be the Creamy Curry Crab. It was still delicious (again, you can't go wrong here). I wish the curry was a little creamier, but everything else was there. The soft shell crab was delicious and has the perfect crispness to it. Also, a special dish in my heart is the Pla Scallop! Every time I go, I always have to order it as an appetizer for the table. The sauce is so beautifully made and I usually really like to keep it at the table even when the scallops are gone to use as a dipping sauce for other dishes. Another dish I highly recommend is the Banana Blossom Salad. Similarly, dipping sauce is chefs kiss and always a staple for the table. The shrimp is cooked so well with a light crispy outside. Every time I have a visitor coming into town I always recommend coming to Kiin Di at least once. You will not be disappointed!
