AFTER submitting FULL details (photos and confirming items pictured and not pictured) I was quoted $600 ($303 for storage + $297 for packing)... THEY BILLED ME $1785, and took TWO days to pack. NOT what the Customer Service rep promised AHEAD of my booking. She said (as does website) they'll send 2 - 4 movers to expedite packing. Instead 2 dedicated but unsupported by their company movers showed up and BUBBLE WRAPPED EVERY SINGLE THING (then took a photo) and insisted they'd get fired if they didn't. The plastic kitchen small trash can? YES. ALSO BUBBLE WRAPPED. The individual plastic patio plates? YES. ALSO INDIVIDUALLY BUBBLE WRAPPED. So in 10 hours they did NOT "pack" my SINGLE PERSON 1BR apt. (half of which I'd packed myself prior to their arrival). A SECOND DAY to move was added - which is not easy when you live in uptown Dallas high rise - I had to secure the freight elevator and moving hours etc. AGAIN, the final bill was THREE TIMES what THEY quoted me. After multiple "customer service" conversations they have offered to take $100 off. Soooooo IF you want your few belongings packed OVER TWO DAYS and to the tune of THREE TIMES THE EXPECTED BILL move forward. If you value your TIME, MONEY and LIFE ENERGY... like this post and GO FIND ANYONE (and I do mean ANYONE) else to help you move. read more

These people were the worst I've ever experienced. Moved LA to Dallas. Had broken stuff and refused to compensate properly . Broken 3000$ bed and gave us $200 . Proof of it falling off their forklift . I am not a negative person , I love and support everyone , but when I'm done wrong I have to unleash the wrath of hell . I write a bad review once every 2-3 years when something is extremely unsettling. They refused to take accountability for anything and the entire experience was sub par. I'm 40 years old , I have moved 7+ times and used different carriers/movers , this is as bottom of the barrel as it gets. Once again, this is a warning , not a review , a warning to anyone who is considering using these people. NEVER use CLUTTER. We were with Callbox that was purchased by clutter. We had stored items there for years and never moved things in and out so they should have stayed in the same area. Recently we decided to move all of our stuff out into extra space we had. They lost 6 large items that are very sizable and valuable. Talking 7' high glass corner cabinets and other large items. Then when they got there they tried to give us other people items that they said were ours but did not match pictures or ID codes. But on their system is shows our items were loaded on the right truck. We waited and at the end NO ITEMS. so, their internal system shows delivered even though they weren't and other people's items were shown delivered but not to them but to us, so how did they fix that???? Offered us $1 per lb. which is about $200 for $20,000 of missing items. They are trying to sweep their corporate mistakes as lost items and get away with the cheapest method which is crooked and they should own up to it, I guarantee our items are in the warehouse. This is a systematic problem with their people and what is getting inputted and loaded into trucks every day and whoever is checking the items is not doing a good job. Clutter storage units are horrible. They lost several high-end items that we had in storage and never informed us. We have no idea how long we had been paying monthly storage fees when they didn't have our items in storage. They were very flippant and did not care to help or search for the lost items. They offered us a pittance in reimbursement. It was insulting. Highly recommend that you do not use them. read more

Working with Clutter was a miserable experience. The team arrived hours late and were unable to finish my move. I was rescheduled for a date that was past my legal contract with my building. When I called to have this issue fixed, the support team was pretty much useless. After many emails, calls, and threatening legal action I was rescheduled. They canceled on me again at 5 pm. At this point I had less than 48 hours to legally be out of my residence. I again had to threatens legal action and had a lawyer ready to draft papers the next day. (This is the only way to get customer support's attention) Clutter finally came through with that information and finished my move. However, even so, the movers were slow and untrained. read more

I booked a 6-hour job, but the movers showed up late, left because someone was "sick," and returned only to complete less than 4 hours of work. They refused to use my already packed storage bags, instead forcing me to buy extra boxes or pay $150 for them to repack--something I was not told upfront. Because of their delay and incomplete job, I had to pay for an additional storage unit at Uhal, extra packing supplies, and another day of rent because they wanted to reschedule a week later to complete the job. I even provided receipts, yet Clutter only offered $65 as a refund--which doesn't begin to cover my out-of-pocket expenses. Completely unprofessional and careless. Would not recommend. And it seems that Chris G copies and pastes the same responses to every review, write's on the inbox but doesn't do actually do anything. It's all for show read more

I paid extra for a 3 hour window for pickup. The movers never showed. Clutter pushed my window back, the movers never showed. I told them I didn't want to reschedule. They sent me a cancellation notice saying I may be charged 200 for cancelling the day of. Clutter is a joke. I wonder if I will get an response from Chris G, Business manager saying "We apologize for the negative experiences you have faced with our company, as this is not indicative of our standards. That said, Clutter is dedicated to resolving any customer issues...blah blah blah." While attempting to rearrange my day because of Clutter's lack of management, I asked for a local manager to contact me. Where was Chris G, Business manager then? Clutter's standards are clear. They are unreliable, unresponsive and unwilling to accept responsibility for the agreements they enter with their customers. Potential customers, don't waste your time or energy. Clutter could not even meet my lowest expectations of having a local manager contact me to discuss why no one showed up to work today and what my options were to solve for the issue. read more

Worst movers of all time. The window said 10am-1pm well 12pm came and now the time is 2:15-3:15pm. Here comes 4:00pm and no one is here. Finally 4:15 comes and they sit outside my apartment with a full truck like how am I suppose to move the rest of my stuff with a full truck. The whole experience was terrible. read more

I'm so glad I only used this storage company for a few months, however they willllll Rack the prices up like no one's business. When they first arrived to vet my things (charge by the hour the guys literally were moving like molasses and packed up every small item first in order to fill up the "cubic ft" I pre-booked, to move me to the next storage size, which was double the monthly cost. I immediately spoke to the guy who was measuring and I could tell he was trained to ensure the storage was increased. I quickly told them to only take the big items and I would figure out the rest. I ended up using 75% of the space I originally booked, and paid $130/mo for 4 items since I was locked in a contract. NEVER AGAIN!!! It's convenient sort of, but based on the other reviews I don't know what would have happened had I sent all my items there. read more

Horrible, just horrible. Got a text in the morning for arrival window 8:30- 10:30. Then started messages every couple of hours about delays, then all of a sudden got a message telling me that my appointment is now on a different day (3 days later). At 4 pm customer service assured me that they are still coming, at 5 pm they finally admitted that they couldn't make it because of "problems in the field." DO NOT USE THEM. Worst ever. And you can't even get anyone on the phone., and the chat takes forever. read more

The initial cost was great. The crew was going to pick up my items and move them into the storage unit at no cost.Except for the rental fee on the unit. Prior to my appointment, i asked questions about retrieving my items or adding items to storage. I was not told there were fees involved to do those things. I was surprised to find out that it was going to cost me one hundred and twenty five dollars for a warehouse appointment. And there was only a three hour window on a saturday to pick up my stuff. The appointment confirmation and follow-up stated that my items would be unwrapped.And at the edge of the dock , waiting for pick up. When i arrived to get them, the only person in sight was a security guard. Who then had to go track down the employees. They opened the door and then proceeded to fetch my items. All of which were still taped and bundled to the hilt. It probably took me an hour to remove all the blankets and plastic and tape from my belongings. The saving grace was that the employees were very helpful and upbeat. But this is a very unusual and unique storage set up and customers should be informed up front about the costs to add or retrieve their belongings. read more

NIGHTMARE! Stay away from this horrid company if you value your items! They are near impossible to deal with once they have your items. Their customer service refers you always to their website which isn't always helpful. Many of the customer reps have very very poor English skills. Many of my items of value to me were not transferred out or storage and given over to my moving company. The website is ABSOLUTELY USELESS in my situation. I wish there was a way to speak to someone at the location where my items were warehoused to go and see if my items are still there. I WOULD NOT WISH THIS ON ANYONE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Very disappointed with the outcome of our storage and move with Clutter. Sadly, we trusted that our personal items and valuables would be treated with care and respect. For what we paid every month in storage I had hoped this would be the case. When we elected to have all of our stored items removed and delivered, we learned that a LARGE (hard to lose) custom dining room table that we had planned to use in our new home was somehow lost in the storage facility. How does something that large get lost - totally unbelievable and beyond frustrating. Now we're stuck scrambling to get another table built. Horrible customer service. Icing on the cake is that my grandmother's antique chair also had a leg broken off of it while in storage as well. Claims service is a joke as well - they gave us a dollar per pound! THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! It started off great; easy to book, friendly staff, delivery drivers on time right and early! Took pictures of all items being taken to the storage, rap to perfection. It was explained by the driver that I can view all items being stored online, and when ready for the return I can easily book online and my things will be delivered in the same manner it was picked up. I thought to myself, this is awesome how easy is this! Oh well this is where the trouble starts! When I decided to get my things back, I went online to get a phone number to speak with someone to make sure that I was doing it properly. Finding a phone number was difficult. Then I went online through my portal and went through a chat being told then there is no charge for my delivery I just have to set the date. Went on to set the date online, only to find there were charges. Went back and forth between chat portal and customer service because delivery was supposed to be free. Finally customer service told me I had a former contract which I was unaware of, and that remaining two months would have to be paid prior to delivery. DONE! Then I received the text stating that my payment was not successful and that they would run my card again the day before delivery. My bank stated the payment indeed went through and was successful. And then the day before my furniture was to be delivered I received the text, stating that my appointment was canceled after running a soft charge of $50 and it was declined. This was supposed to be a gas charge which I was told gas was only $9.. I have been back and forth with several customer service reps and managers (who you will always be told you can't speak with the manager) only to be told you'll receive a call back in about 15 to 20 minutes at the most 30 to see what they can do to help you, never got a call! I booked this appointment on May 11th it was supposed to be delivered on May 21st and now they're stating it won't be delivered until June 6th unless there is a cancellation. My family and I are sleeping in an empty home on the floor better than a week, and they expect us to continue sleeping on the floor until they can deliver the furniture on June 6th. I'm disappointed that the company and the movers didn't conduct a great assessment on the amount of house we had. I requested the same movers because they were detailed in the packing but lacked timeliness. On the 2nd day they should've came back with 1 1/2 trucks to make everything fit. Instead I had to book a 3rd appointment and clutter failed to confirm a time before 9am. Both customer service reps I talked to, reassured me I will get a call back, received none. They reassured me a truck will be there by 9am on 8/29 and they showed at 4pm. To make things worst, I was charged for the appointment. At the time, we were no longer owners of the home. 9am was the last time we had the opportunity to remove remaining items. I have all the documentation needed to dispute that charge and proof of close of sale. I have a staging company , I quickly moved out all of inventory when I realized what a scam this company is. They stole / lost many of my items from dining room tables to chairs, to art work, etc. ZERO solutions and their whole business model is out sourcing all customer service to India and to hide behind a screen. This company literally uses psychological warfare tactics to break you down. The circles they run around you aka their processes and bold face lies will literally ruin you wondering what is up and what is down. I used them as movers and I was promised they'd be able to remount my tvs and they didn't. Further more, they lost some screws for me to put my bed back together. They didn't unpack at all, just carried my stuff to my new apartment. The constantly were dropping stuff outside that I by chance would catch. They almost left with a box if I hadn't had insisted on walking their truck before they left. I will never ever use them again and I suggest you don't either. read more

Wow if I could write zero stars on this, I would. I'm not sure what happened from the acquisition from CallBox to Clutter but there are MAJOR balls dropped. After coming here to Yelp and seeing these reviews,, I now realize I'm not the only one that has suffered at their hand. INCORRECT BILLING, I added a new payment and they continued charging my old card (which didn't exist anymore so there could be no charges on it) instead of charging my NEW method.. they let it snowball into a huge amount. I now cannot get my things from them without paying that large amount. They also charged me late fees for all of those months. Callbox originally stated they would let me get my things and take the charge off but now Clutter is saying they won't take off the late fees OR take the charge off OR let me get my things. UNBELIEVABLE customer service. I am a Director of CS and I would NEVER do this to a customer on behalf of MY mistakes. DO NOT STORE HERE. They also raised the prices immensely. So now, I'm paying well over the amount I signed my contract for and cannot get my things and have a huge balance all because they didn't charge the correct payment method. WORST STORAGE EVER. I'm debating taking my CC details off my account altogether and just saying goodbye to my things, it's really sad how they treat their customers. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND AND NEVER WOULD. STAY AWAY. On top of all this the only responses I got from them to ANY of my requests were "sorry we can't help you". the.end. Terrible service. THE WORST COMPANY EVER. RIPOFFS. DAMAGE YOUR ITEMS AND DO NOT CARE! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Scam artists. RUN AWAY, no matter how desperate you are. First and foremost, the original company, CALL BOX STORAGE, was amazing! They had local sales and customer service representatives. They offered to pick up 8 things once a month or send back 8 for free, and they inventoried everything to ensure that my items were safe. If I had a claim (one), there was no problem making it right. Out of nowhere, Clutter acquired Call Box Storage. My monthly storage costs quickly increased by 43%!! Yes, 43%!!! per month! I was literally 1 of the first customers Call Box had. They were so good to me. So, when I saw the charge i immediately called the random number. that I found because they hadn't updated the call box website... Busy signals for over a week. When I finally got through to them, this was the  response, "We are a new company, and this is the price; take it or leave it." I was FURIOUS!! I couldn't access my dashboard for over a month, IT was no help.  The underwhelming response that I got from Clutter was that there was a technical issue and they had accidentally wiped past customer logins. Great!! So then where is my stuff?   Clutter didn't even send an email introducing themselves that they now own what used to be CALL BOX. They just started billing the card on file. No warning, nothing. This company now charges a minimum of $190 per hour, with a one-hour minimum for picking up things. They charge $290 per hour to deliver them back to you, with a one-hour minimum. They allow you to pick up your belongings from their warehouse, which isn't climate controlled as advertised...and there is a charge per cubic foot, and to top it off, they do not assist you in loading them into your car. All they do is take a picture of the item loaded inside. When I opened my boxes, many of my items were broken, and they said it was already that way. They're terrible. They're the worst. I would not recommend anyone use this company. They hold your belongings hostage and charge outrageous cancellation fees to remove them. I miss Call Box. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. it's a scam. when I first began using this company, they were under a different name (callbox) but sold to clutter in the summer of 2023. I've had a number of issues with them. 1. I submitted a request for my things to be delivery and was immediately charged & ensured that the delivery was scheduled. the day of the deliver, my items didn't come. when I tried to make contact l, I was told that the delivery date was just an estimate. when I asked about the money that was taken from me, I was told that I could not get that back and my claim was denied. 2. I scheduled an appointment to have my things delivered & once they arrived, an entire section of my sofa was missing AND my antique rocking horse (family heirloom) was broken. I submitted claims for both and was ensured that I'd be compensated for the total cost of both items. when the claim was resolve, I was offered $220 for my sofa (less than a sixth of the items price) and $23 for the antique that's valued over $1200. This has been the MOST unpleasant experience and there's nothing that can be done about it. There is no direct contact information and when you do submit a request to talk to someone, you get a call back from someone who's clearly not in the warehouse where your items are supposed to be "securely stored." read more
