Moving is STRESSFUL. This is a very hard job, and I'm grateful to have a a family owned and operated company I can rely on to do it for me. I've used Wrightway 5 or 6 times...maybe more. The first review got removed, then I got a nasty call from this org because I told the truth. The lady that answers is rude when I called the first time for quote for their services. She gave pricing over the phone but refused to send me anything in writing, and said no agreements are signed until the day of the move. I told her she's the first mover that I've ever dealt with that refused to send an agreement prior to a move. Sorry, but I'm not waiting until the day of for someone to show up with a truck and the possibility of a document not matching a verbal quote. After she saw my review stating this, she called me to complain that I had wrong, because I wrote my experience speaking with her as a prospective customer. Of course she didn't recall being nasty, but offered to send their agreement, which never arrived. We had a difficult situation with a moving company that only took cash or a check which was not specified at the time of the scheduling. We are an Assisted Living Facility and don't keep cash or checks onsite so they cancelled their service after arriving. The family needed to move that day. I called Wrightway and they were able to accommodate the family within 2 hours. The operator was kind and understanding to our situation. The crew that arrived were professional and worked hand and hand with the family to help them get moved to another location. It was a difficult situation that they helped all of us through. We took my friends comments and the positive reviews on yelp to call and schedule our move. This past Sunday was our scheduled move from 1-3pm. They called us on day of before our scheduled move to let us know they were ahead of schedule. Around noon. That worked out for us. Also yay for early move time!!! The move time was as expected/estimated for two people to move from a second floor apartment to a first floor apartment about a mile away. They did everything we asked after getting to the new place. Put bed back together, help position TVs, put this here/there. And they even helped us update our old dryer with an updated plug (we had to go buy it at Home Depot). Overall... Use these guys. And we paid for and asked for a FULL SERVICE MOVE! pack / move / unpack & put away, because my husband is ill with numerous health issues & has recently been in the hospital for like 20 days in February!! -- & I have MS & numerous other serious health issues!.... -- & they literally wanted to leave my moms items OUTSIDE in the driveway!! -- without bringing them in!! -- because I was 30 minutes late! even though my moms caregiver was there to facilitate the move until i got there! F-- unbelievable!! Furthermore.... Would I not have supervised the move... they would've broken stuff from USING USED BOXES that were falling apart!! --& not wrapping breakables etc!! it was just one thing after another it was insane! On top of everything else, the owner or manager was very freaking rude to me, asking me where I was, and how many minutes away I was from my moms assisted living facility! Overall, I was pretty happy that my movers were able to complete my move in under three hours from a 1 bedroom apartment to my new home, however was put off by a couple of things, that should be considered if you plan on choosing this company. 1. Refusal to move my TV because it did not have a box: I've moved twice with the same 50inch Samsung Flat screen and it's never been a problem with other movies! I was able to move it to my car myself, however it was an inconvenience, stressful and is not advised as it can easily get damaged...the least they could have done is offer padding or blankets to help! If would have known this, I would have tried to find a box or pad it myself. 2. Refusal to move small boxes: I put small items like cables, surge protectors and bathroom items in older Amazon boxes, because I didn't want them getting mixed up with my other items, but one of the movers refused to take them and said I should move them by myself in my own vehicle. I instead, took a larger box and put them in there and sealed it right in front of him and made him take that instead. Just like the TV, no other company I've used has ever given me a hard time about using smaller boxes. 3. Unprofessionalism: Right off the bat, the mover complained about the stairs in my apartment complex. This was provided when I booked them to set the correct expectations. He also dismantled my mirror and did not put it back together (again, something no other movers have done!) We were plan to move at end of the year 2020, due to weather, we have to reschedule it to 1/2/2021. Wrightway moving company were able to arrange the time and help reschedule. On 1/2/2021, the 3 people team showed up on time, help with moving furniture and boxes very quick and professionally. We are able to finish moving faster than what we expected. During the process they are very care about the furniture and places, try to avoid any scratches. Good service with reasonable price with my experience. read more

She was argumentative and claimed a 15 mile all highway drive would take 45 minutes after I assured her I had driven the same route many times in 15 minutes. Eric was able to fit me in with short notice (on a Sunday) and kept in touch the whole week. It has taken me a while to get to this review, but I was so impressed with this moving company. We had a relatively small move, but it was a tricky one. One bedroom on the third floor to a third floor two bed within the same apartment complex. We hired on for 3 movers hourly because we hoped that would help get the moving done asap. We had them scheduled for September 28 to arrive between 9 and 10am, however, despite my confirming with our apartment complex THREE TIMES in the week leading up to the move that everything was still set for that date, they changed it. The apartment office opened at 9am and when my boyfriend went to pick up the keys they told him they never said Friday the 28th and had us set to move on Saturday the 29th. So, while I called the office to proclaim my displeasure, my boyfriend hurriedly called the moving company. Honestly, I NEVER would have expected the level of understanding and sympathy I received from this company. For the life of me, I can't remember names, but my boyfriend spoke to a gentleman who was beyond helpful and amazing. He offered his apologies and knew how difficult this was and that he would do what he could to make sure we had movers. The apartments said we could have our keys between 5 and 6pm so we relayed that to the moving company and he said he would send out a team at that time for us despite it not being in one of their listed time slots and it being late! I will forever be grateful. The movers arrived right on time and really booked it. They didn't dawdle, they didn't try to drag anything out, all three guys were very polite and they were completely done in a little over 2 hours. Great experience! We had three movers provided for three hours, moving 1,600 sq ft worth of house in one trip. They took good care of our breakable items and were able to add our patio furniture which was initially planned for a second move trip. There were several things that went wrong with my move: 1. The driver would not exceed a driving speed of 50mph. It took the driver 1 hour and 10 minutes to drive 29 miles. This created a major increase in my total move time. 2. During the drive the driver ran over a bicycle on the interstate and blew one of the tires. The truck was down an additional hour and 30 minutes. I was generous enough to drive to the nearest gas station and purchased gatorades for the crew because it was so hot. 3. The crew damaged my foam top mattress by tearing the top (foam) 4. The driver initially tried to charge me for the entire 4 hour (truck down time included). I refused to pay for that time. He said "well what do you propose to pay me? I am already going to lose money because of my flat tire". We agreed upon 2.5 hours. I kept track of how long the truck was down, the driver did not. As a customer. I should not be expected to pay for down time or contribute to tire repairs. The driver was very rude and even tried to round my charges up from $407.50 to $410. I refused. read more

Shopped around for moving quotes and their pricing was incredibly competitive. They were also transparent about the costs and helped estimate exactly how long my move would take with a quote for the maximum and minimum estimates. Also they were responsive the same day i put in the online chat inquiry and the company called to confirm my move a few days before it was scheduled and the morning they were leaving to let me know eta. I hired them to both load and unload. They handled all the furniture with care and wrapped everything in furniture blankets and sedan wrap to protect it. I strongly advise that you use someone else for moving services especially if you plan on using a POD or portable moving container. I made a reservation a month prior to my scheduled move and decided to get a quote based off reviews online. Most are good reviews so I felt confident. Being that this was going to be a third full service move in the last year with two horrible experiences, I was being overly cautious with my decision-making. I wanted to try a POD type of method as previous methods via truck resulted in a late arrival, damaged items, missing items, and overcharges for paying per foot of usage on a truck. I was greeted by Tanya who was super friendly and assured me that Wrightway Moving is well experienced with PODS, PackRat and U-Pack. The quote was reasonable and the services described made me feel at ease. However, moving is stressful for everyone, and day of the move (load), I was greeted and advised that the load would not fit. I used a 16' POD via PackRat and advised Tanya of that as well as explored other options to ensure that my 2-bedroom apartment would fit. I was in constant communication with Tanya providing her full inventory, twice verbally, and online once I booked their Angie's List Deal. I gave Tanya the worst case scenario, box-wise, based on my previous move. I was given the advice to consider ABF (u-Pack) trailer service with 13' of space, but allows you to use more at a rate per foot. Being that I was burned in the past by loaders loosely loading to take up more space, I was a little nervous. 13' can easily turn into 18' if not packed strategically. Therefore, I decided to stay with my 16' POD and advised Tanya of my decision. I asked if she would send someone out to go over my items, however, she advised that they don't do the in-home estimates. After my POD arrived, I begin to panic even more. I contacted Tanya and asked if she would like pictures/skype/facetime so that she had a written and visual inventory. I was told it wasn't necessary. I had three movers arrive and flat out told me it's not going to fit, day of the move. Trying to remain calm, I called Wrightway and text Tanya immediately. The mover called and text his manager as well. I did not want them to touch anything without speaking to Tanya. I vented to the crew how transparent I have been, from the start, and about the communications between Tanya and I. He told me, day of the move, he knew it would not work. Why wasn't I ever informed prior to move date? Finally, I spoke to both Tanya and Terry (manager of mover) and vented. Tanya retracted everything we had discussed previously! She told me that she advised me (a week before the move) to contact her personal contacts at ABF, in which I did. Bottom line, the movers did not even want to try. After two hours of waiting to speak to someone (me waiting for Tanya, him waiting for his manager), resolution was that Terry was to contact the owner to work something out. He requested I email him all He promised he would call me back, that night. I took down the mover's cell phone number as he volunteered to come back Easter Sunday to load me once he hears from management. I waited until 8-9 pm and called Terry and text messaged him. I text messaged the mover who replied he hadn't heard anything. Wow! Easter Sunday, stressed, no call back. Monday was the day in which PackRat was supposed to pick up the container, and I had NOTHING LOADED! I called PackRat who connected me with a network and I was able to find a replacement that could load me that Monday. These guys packed almost everything! I did have to let go of my patio furniture, however, they made everything work! No hesitation and packed the container even in the rain in 2.5 hours. Mind you, nothing from Wrightway ... still! I emailed them requesting a call back to all email addresses on their website. The only responses I have received is from Tanya attempting to justify her role in this drama. Bottom line, sorry so long, they may be great for local moves ... but I would steer clear of them personally ... especially if you are using limited space or requiring a long-distance move. Update: Management finally responded five (5) whole days after my scheduled service. Hopefully they will take heed to my review and change some of their processes. Response to Management by Eric: I was NOT provided other "options" to accommodate my move by the coordinator or on site mover. I was supposed to receive a call back from ERIC and never did! The decision to use a 16' foot POD was not the only option I had upon first conversation with Wrightway. I had quotes from PackRat and ABF (U-Pack). Worked with Tanya for weeks trying to solidify my carrier. I wish that someone would actually contact me directly rather go based off assumption. All email correspondence had been forwarded to Eric. The fact that it took Wrightway five days to get back to me is unsettling. Again, chalk it up to a bad experience. read more

Phenomenal experience with Wrightway Moving Company! Our three-man crew back in June 2017 was personal, kind, and efficient. I was moving from a 1-bedroom on the 2nd floor to a 2-bedroom on the third floor. They quickly got everything in and out without any furniture breaking. They finished on time, and even after signing the final contract and paying what we owed, they still asked if there was anything else they could help us with before they left. Their team talked with us, making conversation and chatting while they worked; it was more than having strangers quickly move your items and hurry off. More like "wrong-way" !! Okay, sorry for the lame-joke, but I couldn't resist. I went with Wrightway based on the Yelp reviews and talking to a friendly customer service agent who seemed professional. The company seemed professional and I even decided to spend more money with them, thinking I would get a more professional service and better customer service. I was wrong. The three guys who came to actually do the moving were very unprofessional. 2 of the 3 didn't speak a word of English, which I don't mind, because I speak Spanish too, but the 1 that spoke English spoke it well enough that I didn't reveal that I spoke Spanish immediately. Luckily too, because all they did was curse my stuff, curse my requests, and use foul language about my apt and all my stuff and my "American" requests. It was very annoying, and unprofessional. Could you imagine someone using the F-bomb about your stuff and your requests, thinking you can't hear/understand them? That's what these guys did the entire time. They were incredibly unclean as well. Their hands were filthy and they put their dirty hands directly on my mattress and left a huge grease stain on it. The craziest part was, I put a mattress cover over the mattress to protect it from dirt, but they pulled it off to move the mattress. When I stopped them and told them it had to go back on and they had to wrap it, they didn't put the cover back on, only half wrapped it with the plastic wrap and proceeded to manhandle it with their dirty hands. They then used my mattress cover to cover other pieces of furniture so that they didn't have to use their own stuff. I could write tons and tons more about how unclean and unprofessional they are... they were very upset with our request to wear booties in our newly shampooed apt we were moving into. Again, cursing at us in spanish. I didn't tell my roommate what they were saying until after they left because she would have went off on them. There's so much more that I could say, but I'm tired of writing. I also have plenty of room for comparison, since the people delivering our new appliances (from Sears) were a world of difference. the Sears employees were extremely courteous, respectful, careful not to scratch or ding anything, and made me feel very comfortable. They were also both spanish speakers, and refrained from speaking spanish in front of me, thinking I only knew English. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! The WORST moving company I've ever used. Lazy! They finally call me and say "I've been knocking on your door for 5 mins." I open my door and no one is there. He's knocking on someone else's door. But he charges me for him not being able to read numbers and puts down the "start time" as when he was knocking on someone else's door. Then he and his "crew" sit around for about 10-15 minutes texting on their phones. Once I complain they begin to "work" which consists of one guy out of 3 coming up to my apartment and taking single items out to the truck. One dresser drawer, one box.. completely milking the time. It took them 2.5 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment. I hired AB Movers last time and the Mexican fellas who showed up moved my whole place in 2.5 hours. These guys were slow, lazy and just incompetent. *Except for the 20-something Marine kid who worked so hard he nearly passed out and had a bloody nose. He worked his butt off while the other two did nothing but text on their phones all day and complain. So we get to my new place and they sit in their truck for another 5-10 minutes, again on my dime, then call to tell me they are there. They then bitch and moan about climbing stairs for about 45 minutes and stand around doing nothing. I take that back, they counted the number of stairs, 55 of them ( I know this because he kept saying how many stairs there were), and asked the office over and over again if there was an easier route. I complain again and I'm told they aren't standing around doing nothing, they're trying to figure out how to get the stuff up the stairs. How hard is that? They're supposedly "professionals" right? I call to complain and say I'm not paying for them to stand around picking their noses and texting, literally. The owner, who I can only imagine is ghetto white trash, says that my stuff is now **removed** it back. They hold everything I own **removed** and demand **removed** away with it. I pay it. They call the cops on me. On me? They called the cops on me! The cops show up and do nothing because it's a civil matter. The, assumed white trash, owner is the one who called the cops. Isn't that rich? So they move my stuff, one hour later, which I paid for. It takes them 4 hours to do so. Bitching and complaining and texting and destroying pretty much everything. I have smashed boxes, broken dishes, glass, electronics, etc. Furniture is gashed from them dropping it and smashing into walls and doors. Oh and by the way I have video and photos to back all of this up. So they "get done" except for about $3000 in TV's and they tell me I have to **removed** with them. So again, I pay. Then... and this is great... have the audacity to ask me for a TIP! Now I'm sure the assumed ghetto white trash owner who called the cops on me for not being pleased with his horrible company's service will get on here and be assumed ghetto white trash and tell me and all of you how "wrong" I am but again, I have photo's and video and they do not lie. The assumed ghetto white trash owner who told me that "**removed**" probably thought he was getting away with being a shady little character because in his assumed ghetto white trash circle of life, people are afraid of him for having a little bit of money and power. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else. They will **removed** you blind and milk the job. Update: The manager has responded and claims I would not allow the crew the use the elevator which is a blatant lie and makes no sense. Why would I not want the job done quicker? I, as well as the building staff, told them repeatedly where the elevator was, they (the crew) were to lazy to walk to it as it was "too far". Also, supposedly the job to move in took 2.5 hours and the load time was 1.5 - 2 hours. If so then why was I charged 6.75 hours (it says so on my receipt). Last time I used math 4-4.5 hours is less than 6.75 hours by about $270. Let's not mention the fact that I am **removed** the following: 1 tool box containing roughly $500 in VW/Audi/Porsche specialty tools, 1 tote containing roughly $400 in random electronics (DVD player, Google TV, cameras), HDMI cables, ad irreplaceable personal effects, part of my bed which can now not be put back together, 2 destroyed mattresses from dragging them, couch has a big dent in it, bed drawer destroyed, table... I had Wrightway Moving do an office relocation and while the move itself was fine, the customer service afterwards left much to be desired. After unpacking I realized they had not delivered two items, one a plastic floor mat and the other a white stone statute, also they had reassembled a desk backwards. (1) I was annoyed that I had to follow up two days later about this (after I had finished unpacking) and they did not contact me to let me know they still had some of my stuff and (2) I was told that they had my statute and would deliver it but that the crew claims the plastic mat flew out of the moving truck, cracked, so they threw it away.......I guess no one thought it pertinent to tell the owner of that product that they unanimously decided to throw my stuff away. So I submit a claim with Wrightway and show that a similar plastic floor mat cost approx. $85; well apparently they have a clause were they only reimburse 60 cents per pound....so I got $17! I did sign an agreement to that clause, however, so that was my mistake for (a) not thoroughly reading the fine print and (b) trusting that none of my stuff would be damaged (or thrown away without me knowing) I would have recommended them had they not handled the aftermath so poorly but I will not recommend them now! They damaged and threw away my property without even telling me! Then to add insult to injury, after I had to follow up, they offer 20% of the products actual value! These movers are ok, not bad not great. They showed up with a smallish truck because I was in an apt. They showed up 3 hours early so I was not fully packed - I wanted them to go away and come back when I was ready but that wasn't going to happen. So they offered to pack some stuff while they were moving but I didn't want them to because I was trying to mark my boxes. However, when I went in the other room they threw stuff in unmarked boxes so I'm still trying to find some of my stuff (and the last stuff you pack is usually the stuff you need and use!). The smallish truck did not hold all my stuff, so 1/2 a room got left. And anything left unpacked due to the early arrival did not get moved either. They also took a lunch break and tried to charge for it - I pointed this out when they gave me the invoice and they took it off the bill (which tells me they knew they were doing it because I'd already asked them if they took a break as I was waiting for some time at the new house for them to show up). It would have been nice if they had more than one hand cart because they were walking those boxes in one...box...at...a...time. I think they are ok. Nothing broken and the guys were nice enough. Next time I will insist that the appointment time is the actual appointment time and won't open the door 3+ hours beforehand. And I will have everything boxed the day before, just in case (I'm a busy person so some packing was left to last minute). I also have a better idea of the amount of stuff I have so the "smallish" truck may have been ok if I had a normal person's amount of crap, so I don't think I can completely blame them for not getting it all. (I previously moved from a house so I had more than a regular apartment person might - which I told the lady on the phone, but oh well) The biggest thing is NOTHING GOT BROKEN which is standard for every previous move I've done. read more

I must say that Wrightway did a pretty good job of moving our furniture from a two story town home to an apartment. They were a bit late that morning, but no more than 15 minutes or so, which didn't bother me. The only thing that bothered me is that they did ding one corner of a wall, but I guess that is to be expected with any moving company as it can be very difficult to move furniture that is large around tight corners. Perhaps if they moved just a little bit slower to avoid such incidents it would be nice. But, I'm sure if they were to move more slowly and deliberatly that someone would claim they were moving slow to make more money with their hourly rate. So they just can't win. Anyway, they were really excellent movers who got the job done well and for a great price. I liked them enough that when we moved another family member recently, I had them call Wrightway. They did a great job with both moves and I would reccomend them to anyone who needs fast and friendly movers! read more
