This was a rare yelp failure. So highly rated but found it a disappointment. I wish I had just gone to Home Depot or any convenience store. This is located off to the side of a gas station in not the best area and it smells of propane (makes sense, I guess) but it smelled so strong I was certain someone would like up and burn the place down. Fast and Friendly Service! Since I just acquired a Camp Chef Sidekick for my pellet grill, this was my very first experience getting a propane tank filled, so I was worried that I wouldn't understand the protocol and was very intimidated by the numerous safety warnings in my Camp Chef user manual. Fortunately, the attendant was very prompt, friendly, and quickly put me at ease. There was no line and no one around, but the signage clearly indicated the button to press and call the attendant, who came out with little delay from the gas station. After I explained that I was new to propane, he joked with me and made me feel comfortable. He filled the tank quickly, lifted and loaded the tank in my trunk, and gave me some helpful tips about testing for leaks in my hose and getting the tank recertified after the required period. My first experience with Propane Filling Station was easy, affordable, and pleasant; and I look forward to returning to them for my propane needs in the future! read more

Attn RV owners! I have had the worst time trying to find an actual PROPANE FILLING STATION in my area! The search is over! This location not only fills your 30 or 40lb tanks they can also certify them for you! That last thing you want is to get a ticket from a State Trooper for an expired tank! Way cheaper than the refills from the convenience store. While they do serve a function (in making sure tanks are kept up), there is nothing to prevent you from taking a tank that you've exchanged, and if it's still certified, refilling it to its fullish capacity, this is not necessarily the case with those Exchange tanks, which may not be totally full and so essentially, it's including the price of the propane within. They take Apple Pay and the propane pumper was quite efficient. read more

Drove almost an hour to come to the station to fill my tanks so my family can have a heat tonight on these cold days and they want to use the excuse that they saw lightning. I sat outside waiting 15mins for someone to come out and I didn't see one lightning strike in this area at all I just feel like they were trying to be lazy and leave early for some other reason. This place is a convenient store with a huge propane tank on the side. You go inside and pay for the tank fill up and someone meet you outside to fill up your tank. The best part is the price at $11 for 20lb tank! AND, they give 50% off of that to teachers and nurses and first responders. I don't know how much longer this will last but even at regular price, it's not a bad deal because unlike swap the tank places where it's only 75-80% full, they fill up your tank all the way for $11. read more

Getting the propane was easy, but I could have done without the attitude from the employee filling the bottle. When paying for propane with a credit card at the pump, the handheld device has the option for leaving a tip. I don't know if this type of service is one that needs to have wages supplemented with gratuities, but I guess that if a customer wants to leave a tip then that is up to them. I chose to not to pay anything extra and was left with the harsh response of "no tip?". My advice would be to pay your employees more so that they don't expect a gratuity to get by, or get rid of the tip option on your PoS system. Either way, this removes the possibility of your employees being rude and disrespectful to customers. The way I see it, a tip for that job is a bonus for sure. read more

I decided I should consider buying a tank and filling it regularly for some time but didn't really find a place I thought was a good choice. Then, I ran into Propane Filling Station on Market Place. I inquired about tanks and a fill. I received a response within minutes (at 10PM at night no less) and got all the answers I needed. A few more exchanges and I knew this was my kind of place. Good responses, very courteous, had an amazingly low price on Propane and I had my choice of a used or new tank. I am pretty tired of getting beat up tanks from service stations so now I have a nice new tank and a refill that I really like. Location is pretty convenient too, right off of Central Expressway in Plano. Mani and Steve, you guys could write the book on customer service and give it to lots of places that do everything wrong. This place is great. They are open until 8:00 PM and are a lot less expensive than U-Haul. A problem I have had with U-Haul is that they frequently turn you away because they don't have any one working that is licensed to dispense propane. They have done that to me twice in Richardson, never again! read more

Convenient location off the road and I even talked with the owner on the phone before going there who seemed very nice, but the entire experience was WAY different when I arrived. Pay attention to how much propane they give you or you will be shorted or treated like a jerk for asking for a full bottle. A Blue Rhino bottle should weigh 15 lbs when empty. They place the bottle on the scale, attach a HUGE heavy brass nozzle and hose to your bottle and turn on the machine until the the scale hits 35 lbs. (15 lb empty bottle + the 20 lbs of propane you are buying). The man shut off the machine, pulled the bottle off the scale and then unhooked the heavy nozzle. I said "Hey. did you give me the full 20 lbs? That nozzle is pulling down added weight on the scale." The man got mad at me and put the bottle back on the scale again and without the nozzle it was 29 lbs. I was shorted 6 lbs of propane, or 30%. I said that my bottle was not full and he yelled at me, "You are going to get me in trouble!!" He connected the nozzle to my bottle and angrily started the machine again. I said "Excuse me?? I'm getting you in trouble by asking for what I'm paying for???" but he didn't respond. It ran for about 10 seconds and then the machine's pressure cut off safety valve started banging loudly (preventing overfill) and he then shuts the machine off, turns to me and says "SEE, NOW YOU BROKE MY EQUIPMENT" and disconnected the bottle. We weighed the bottle again and I had 36 lbs. I said thanks, but the guy just took the card I was given by the unfriendly gas station clerk inside moments before (that was no fun either) and walked off. Bad experience for knowing how a scale works and for asking for proof that I'm not being ripped off. read more
