My unit has been robbed and as well customer service is unable to do anything except take a payment and even then they cant take payments in certain circumstances. Ive been there for several yrs. Mike has single handedly kept my buis. However I haven't been able to reach him to make a payment and he seems to be the only one who can manually process a payment customer service will not do anything to straighten out issues with your account so unless you catch the actual manager on location your account get worse and worse customer service is absolutely useless in resolving any issue except taking a payment. After several yrs and a robbery . Mr joyce is just no longer enough to keep me at storage choice despite robberies and late fees because only mike knows how to use the credit card machine. By the way not only was customer service rude but the employees seem to have a sense of enjoyment in do nothing and being capable of nothing. If your unit gets robbed they think its funny. If you try to make a payment and cant reach the one man in the entire company that can process your payment they take delight in you frustration. If you rent a unit here be prepared to feel taken advantage of and in some sense like a victim and indeed you may be be a victim of robbery as I was with no resolve. despite the gates, codes and cameras. If you ignore this warning and make the mistake of renting here. It is horrible the worst experience I've ever had, and I've rented a lot of storages.the manager mike is by far the most unprofessional property overseer I've ever met. 1. He has security camers pointing in the field instead of on the units. Must be so he can see the prairie dogs and learn their wear bouts so come 6 p.m. Quote like CORPRAITE SAYS THEY WANT US OUT OF HERE BY 6 p.m. He can go prairie doggin in the field with his bottle of whiskey that he reeks of daily .....The best part he lets a scrubby man and his poor dog live in a unit who presents him self to be security This man also takes showers in the lobby restroom. After learning my units had been broke in to and he was the master mind of many break ins. I confronted mike with confidence that he would do the right thing being the on site property manager of this brand new 3 million dollar building that he brags so hilly about that he would take proper action the evidence it was solid the guy was busted. Well mike goes and tells the guy basically warning him that I had something on him 2 days later I was pulling up in the front of the building and see this vagrant, So I go inside to ask mike if he has told him anything about me showing him the evidence mike says no he has not. less than one min later vagrant comes in the office to try to start a fight with me taking off his shirt and using profanity towards me and the only thing mike does is tell me to leave when there is crazed looking man trying to kill me. And no he never told any of the appropriate people about the edvince I had .So I would not refer this place to anyone ever food for thought there has been 27 break ins and no one caught by reading this who do u think was getting a his cut off the belongings of the ppl that put trust in this facility !!!!!!! read more

He's incredibly customer service oriented, kind, compassionate and truly cares about customers satisfaction and needs. He's definitely a far better highly effective manager than the last one C. W. I just finished renting a storage space here at Storage Choice - Carrollton, TEXAS & it was a "GREAT" experience!!! I wasn't exactly sure just which size storage space I would need, but the manager, Joe Huff helped me in every way possible! He helped me decide on the "perfect" 10' x 10' space to store my belongings, which I don't have room for in my new place! He answered every question I had & explained how the entire process worked, helped me fill out all paperwork, & even gave me a "Great" first month's discount of half off! He went out of his way to find me the best storage space to match my needs & also the best price too!!! He was totally "professional" but at the same time he was just as " down to earth" & friendly as anyone could be!!! This is truly a 5-star business. They are organized, efficient, exceptionally clean and professional, yet the people are so friendly. I never felt intimidated or put off in any way. Joe and all the folks I have met so far have been so kind, working with me in every way. And most importantly, absolutely everything they advertised came true - move-in price, free lock, truck, access when you need it, everything they listed and then some. That was the only surprise, and it was a good one. They even do more, going above and beyond, what is on their website. I've had so many bad experiences with storage unit companies that mislead the public until you get there and find out the real price. I had become so suspicious and cynical. Joe apparently understands what people go through. He was funny (but never sarcastic) and friendly (but never pushy) and (most importantly) extremely patient with all my questions and the long time it took me to decide as I compared all the surrounding companies. This is a great place! They have some of the best pricing in town. The property manager made my experience so easy. I found out I was getting a new job and had one week to move out of my apartment to Houston. I had called another company to rent a unit and they lost all my information 2 times, and then gave me the wrong address to which storage location I was going to it was a big mess. I was able to call Mike the manager in two minutes had a price and was on my way to his store to sign the paper work. I was in and out of there in 15 minutes and even had time to look at the unit. After looking at the unit I decided I wanted a larger unit Mike had all the paper work and pricing with him. He was able to take me to the next larger unit tell me the pricing and didn't even have to go back to the office. Everything was very organized which is very important to me. My billing didn't start tell Saturday when I wanted to move in. When I showed up Saturday with the movers all codes worked and everything went perfect. I was very impressed how clean and easy it was to get my stuff moved in. They also had moving carts for me to use which helped my move go even faster. read more

Prospective tenants should be aware that this business allows people to register online and acquire an entry code into their building without showing up in person and presenting identification documents to Storage Choice personnel. This policy resulted in a recent break-in at their facility when burglars arrived in late November and spent 5 hours over Sunday night breaking into three storage units and carrying off people's belongings. The Carrollton TX Police took a police report on this incident. Apart from the potential loss of property, this is a dangerous situation during a time when there are concerns about terrorism. Any thief could steal a legitimate person's wallet and use their ID and credit card to open an account and obtain an entry code online, then enter the building to plant any sort of weaponry, thus putting other tenants' safety and their property at risk. Until this business changes its policies concerning people acquiring entry codes to enter the building without personally appearing and presenting identification, it is recommended that prospective tenants use extreme caution when doing business here.. read more

The facility is clean and well kept. I felt safe putting my things there because the facility has security cameras and lights. Additionally, Mike, the manager, lives on-site. The facility is gated too, but as a tenant, you get 24-hour access using a gate code you pick during move in. The move in process was quick and easy. The paper work took only 15 minutes and Mike had all the paper work ready to sign. He explained all the information you as a tenant would want to know (insurance, late fees, move out procedure) and skipped over the unnecessary. He is a very honest and friendly person and I really enjoyed the customer service. He even extended me the courtesy of using his truck on a day he wasn't there. Great value for storing my things in a safe and secure place. We all know moving can be stressful and sometimes chaotic, but Mike made my experience painless with his excellent customer service and honesty. I recommend Mike and this Storage Choice facility to anyone hoping to find peace of mind while storing their things. read more

If you have inquired about storage units in DFW you know that no matter what the ad says you will be paying much more due to required insurance, filing and admin. fees and force you to purchase their lock which is ridiculously high. Joe was very friendly and though they did not have the size unit we needed he gave us a larger unit at a great discount and said that he would allow us to move should a unit the size /price we needed come available. He even told us that we could use their moving truck for free (deposit, license and proof of insurance plus replacing the fuel you use) which is extremely fair. We ended up not needing it but the fact it was an option was incredible. The building and the grounds are new, clean and secure. Whether your unit is inside or out everything is well taken care of and in top condition. Take my advice and dont bother wasting your time going anywhere else. Ask for Joe read more

This was such a surprise to visit Dallas and after a planned 3 day visit , that turned into a two week stay, I looked for storage facilities that had climate controlled units. The first call was to this facility and , I did look at others as WELL .When I arrived the traffic was minimal in the area . So was safe to come and go. Very quiet and secure property. I stopped in and was just going to look , but the personal are professional and assessed my concerns . A move from the Virgin Islands was considered and they chose a 10x30 unit , climate controlled , and it had two doors a it each end with a light inside. Perfect. It was on the 1st floor just inside the doors with cars to be able to move in and out so easy. New, very clean, management is super nice and helpful, great gate, 24 hour access, very reasonable rates, feels safe and secure. Two minor things: it's a little warm in the climate controlled area compared to other places I have rented, and there is an evil cart lurking in the back that is left behind by everyone else because they probably figured it out - it has these weird center wheels that throw the balance off completely and we hate using it as everything always falls off. If that cart would take a permanent vacation and more good carts were added, and the temperature a tad cooler (hopefully in winter it will be a bit better), this storage facility, which is already pretty darn good and probably the best in the west, would be knock down unbelievable! read more

It was super easy to rent space at Storage Choice. The employees here were very helpful, and took time to show me several units so I could get an idea of the size I needed. I wound up renting two units, and the price was comparable to other locations. The building is clean and climate controlled, and feels very secure. There is 24 hour access too, and we did take advantage of this to drop off some stuff at 1:00 am! We had no difficulty getting in, and I love that there is an onsite manager living at the location. He was very friendly and helpful. He showed me the unit I reserved initially and, when I said it was maybe too small for our needs, found me another unit that was a perfect fit. He was always available and took time to show me around the property so that I would feel comfortable. The property is clean, well lit and maintained.
