He rushed through the phone call, failed to gather basic and necessary information, and quoted my clients $1,500, which turned out to be wildly inaccurate. When the movers actually showed up, the price magically jumped to $2,300 -- and even after paying that inflated amount, they still didn't move everything. My clients were forced to rent a U-Haul themselves just to finish the move. Absolutely unacceptable. Communication was nonexistent. At pickup, the movers couldn't even give a rough estimate of when the items would be delivered. My clients' belongings were left in limbo for days, and it took countless phone calls just to get a vague update on where their items were and when they might arrive. This level of disorganization is shocking for a company that claims to be professional. On top of all that, Donnie personally put in writing that I would receive a referral fee. When I followed up to resolve the issue professionally, he completely dodged responsibility -- ignoring messages, blocking my calls, and refusing to communicate at all. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about his character and how this company operates. I was told my concerns were "escalated to customer service," yet I've heard absolutely nothing since. No follow-up. No accountability. No resolution. Moving stinks, I generally hate it and hope that I won't need a moving company for a long time. I got assigned a coordinator to give me a quote from their home base in California. After I paid, I arranged a time frame for my household goods. The dispatcher was good at letting me know the time frame. They also got my car shipped and all that. One gripe, if that, is that they don't move your stuff themselves. They contract local companies to do the move for you. In other words, they are what you call a broker. I know this because I asked the movers themselves if they're with Trico and he said, "No, we are a sister company. They contact us and we do the rest." Another gripe is that they charged me a "long haul fee". I had a top floor, corner unit at my apartment complex. They charged me an extra $300 for extra footage for the move. So be wary of that part if you're an apartment dweller. My stuff got to California safely and everything was accounted for. As for my car, again, they contract other auto shippers. My car came back in one piece. I'd recommend Trico. Some may be hesitant if they're essentially a "middle man" of sorts. They were professional with the whole process.

We had worries that we would not be able to make the deadline of the move as we needed to be moved out by the Thursday of last week. The day we called them was pretty inconvenient to get started so Trico was able to compromise and schedule us to have somebody come in and approximate the price and length of the transportation process. They informed us that the actual packing and loading the furniture onto the trucks will take up at least two to three days and the rest of the transport will take up to another four days relative to how far we were moving. I told my dad that they were offering several package bundles and he opted to choose the one with an insurance policy with it, I strongly agreed. It was one of the best deals they had, including a full damage reimbursal insurance policy for moves over a few hundred miles. Thankfully our move was just about that length if not longer and we qualified for the package. These guys are the very best at what they do, we contacted them on short notice and they did not overcharge us or give us a hard time about things. If we had to do it all over again I think we would still choose these guys without a doubt. We had a wonderful experience and all of our stuff arrived safely at our new home without a single scratch.

At the start the guys seemed cool, but as the move went on their attitude changed. They started complaining about how much stuff I had even though I did a full intake with them beforehand and we already agreed on a price. They even started insinuating I should go to an ATM to pay them more money, which made me feel uneasy and was unprofessional since the rate was already set. I moved into a brand new building where I'm only the 3rd person on my floor. A hallway light fixture was broken during the move and they told me they didn't do it. However, management knocked on my door later saying they have them on camera breaking the light and damaging the walls. On top of the building damage, my vanity was broken, some furniture was scratched, and the monitor for my work computer is broken. I've asked repeatedly for their insurance information so we can resolve this, but they aren't responding. I believe I've been blocked now because my messages are no longer going through. From there they never show up and ghost you. Whatever you do, do not use them or you can kiss your money goodbye. If Harris moving has a 100% refund policy then where's my deposit refund? And if moving dates are dependent upon availability why do customers have to pay 50% upfront to "secure their move date" if you don't actually show up on the date you booked.
