BEWARE! ive rented…read moreplenty of storage in the past and never have had an issue with loading and unloading until the day i purchased my unit. The day I purchased the unit there were several people in the office who pretty much just stared at me while I tried to figure out where to get a dolly. i eventually just came back the next day. on my move day - there were zero dolly's left. only 2 in the building and when i asked the rep (a dark skin man with dreads) he just shrugged and laughed it off. it's crazy to think that they only have 2 dolly's for a location that is huge and has multiple floors. very unappealing area, and they will charge you for pretty much anything. the main manager is just rude and very nonchalant, as if he could careless to be there. what really threw me off was the lack of supplies and unwavering attention to all the folks who needed help. the access codes don't even work either

Grossly negligent. Do not use this location. We've had our unit burglarized twice in 30 days and…read moreitems stolen both times. The first time we had multiples TVs stolen. The second burglary the unit was completely ransacked- cut into every box and took a ton of valuables, both sentimental ones (why?!) and costly ones. The first theft involved 10 units. The second involved 40 units. This location has no interior cameras and after the first issue James told us "DPD won't do anything since we don't have cameras". Furthermore, the location requires an ID to use a luggage cart because they've had so many stolen, THUS MANAGEMENT IS FULLY AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND HAS ELECTED NOT TO INSTALL INTERIOR CAMERAS OR TAKE OTHER SECURITY MEASURES THAT EXIST AT OTHER LOCARIONS. The second burglary happened on 9/14, nearly a week ago, and we still haven't received a call from corporate. Yesterday James notified us that there's no way for us to call them, we just have to await their call. Still waiting... Oh, and in a last ditch effort to salvage any of our remaining items after the second incident, we moved several boxes from our first floor interior unit to our second floor interior unit only to find that the second unit's door could be jerked open with the locks on and latch closed (see video). We then waiting 3 hours for the repairman to arrive who had only terribly concerning things to say about this location. Repairman wasn't able to replace the latch because they had all been used to repair the 40 other burglarized units. If you value your items and security, go literally anywhere else.

Jamie stepped in and got me squared away and helped me find a more efficient sized unit that would reduce my monthly cost by almost 1/2. This location is a tough one to manage and there are 4 full-time employees working to clean, organize and manage the place so it's safer, and more desirable. Moving from Dallas to California, we needed a storage unit and chose Public Storage near our home…read more The starting rate was $99.00 per month, which seemed reasonable at the time. However, over the course of a year and a half, the monthly cost increased to more than $220.00. We called multiple times asking if the rate could be reduced. Each time, we were told that they had already lowered it twice and there was nothing more they could do. I also tried contacting the corporate office, but the representative I spoke with appeared to be working remotely and communication was difficult. According to the representative, notices about the rate increases were mailed to us. Unfortunately, we had moved and forgot to update our mailing address, so we never received those letters. Why not email us or send a text!!! That said, we didn't need a letter to notice the increases--we saw the higher charges every month on our Chase bank statement. Because of these constant price increases, we have decided to move to another storage facility. Unfortunately, the cost of relocating our belongings will now exceed $1,000, making the situation even more frustrating. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution others to carefully review the terms and potential rate increases before choosing Public Storage.

I was also told the property manager was on-site during access hours. Honestly, nothing said to me by Public Storage was true. The metal shed that is this facility (even indoors) was about 150 degrees (not good for furniture and art). There was no property manager anywhere. Had trouble getting in the gate, finding the elevator, and the unit. Phone number just went to answering machine. I left multiple messages because I was on the clock with movers. No one answered. Corporate gave me some other "personal" number for the manager, which just went right back to the answering machine. Now I have to spend more time and money to find a new facility that meets my needs, and move everything again. Do yourself a favor and run from this place and this company!
