I have been to cloverleaf many times, the only reason I give it a 4 start is because the food is mostly good but it's inconsistent. The Birria burger and quesadilla are amazing. The fish tacos are ok nothing special. The drinks are a hit or miss. Overall it's a solid restaurant read more

I've been wanting to check this spot out for MONTHS! I am so happy I came tonight! Loved that it is kid friendly, especially since I came with my kiddos. The staff is absolutely friendly, Kyle our waiter was super attentive and accommodating. The Manager even went out of his way to welcome me since he was told it was my time there. They have indoor, patio, and tent seating. I was sat in their patio area which is heated. However, we didn't need the heaters as it was still 72 degrees out. I started off by ordering a Spring Sangria, which was very refreshing with the perfect amount of alcohol. For dinner I ordered one of their appetizers, the Filet mignon lettuce wraps. The lettuce wraps were exactly what I needed. It was the perfect amount of food for me. Tender and juicy. My kids ordered waffles fries and Mac n cheese. I of course tasted! And you could mostly tell that the mac n cheese wasn't from a box! Most importantly, my son loved it! The fries were ah-mazing! Their seasoning makes them taste all the better. I cannot wait to come back!! Especially since I saw they will be having Cinco de Mayo specials! read more

I do like the food, I do, but what really gets five stars are the superlative staff; they're so nice! We usually come on Sunday or Monday since they serve prime rib for a good price; cooked nicely, served with au jus and horseradish, plus a side (I usually get a baked sweet potato). If you're into beer, this place has an extensive beer program that seems to be popular. The food is good, the service is excellent, it's near where we live, we're big fans of Cloverleaf Tavern! read more

Great food and service! We sat at a high top at the bar and were immediately greeted by the bartender. Drinks were well made and food was delicious. We will definitely be back! read more

I decided to break out of my comfort zone area in terms of restaurants ( union / Morris county ) and try this cute spot ! The menu is extensive with an array of sandwiches , entrees and apps! Our server was attentive and friendly without being annoying . She also was able to change our seating since the first area of seats was a bit too close to a large group . My bf had the turkey club w wedge fries and I had the spicy chicken sandwich on a pretzel roll! My man raved about the sandwich and mine was delicious as well . The chicken had a nice spice rub to it but wasn't overly seasoned . I appreciate the abundant amount of side dishes you can get instead of fries . We paid about $38 for 2 entrees and sodas which is very fair. We will definitely be back to try more from the menu . :)) read more

It is a very beautiful establishment . I really love their short ribs. Have ordered from them often and never had any complaints.

Had a brand new server, his first night at Cloverleaf-great service Jorge! Started out with my traditional pint of Guinness as I always do in an Irish pub. It was also the suggested pairing for the steak special I was ordering. Had the French Onion Soup which I finished, doesn't happen often so needless to say it was delish. I ordered the the Special A-1 marinated flat iron steak topped with mushrooms and fried onions with roasted cauliflower and had the garlic mashed with gravy as my side. Flat Iron steak is not my 1st choice but it was cooked perfectly. Everything came as ordered and the service was very good which was a pleasant surprise. Will be back again soon! read more

This is such a great place! Sat in the bar area last night for the first time. Our server was great. Had the one of the pumpkin flavored alcoholic drinks (pumpkin week ends on Halloween), which was great! The grilled chicken sandwich was good too. Always enjoy the vibe of this place! read more

Giving a 5 out of 5 for cloverleaf tavern is the only rating they should get. It is such a special place, as I have been going there for over 10 years now. From attending the local university in Caldwell, living in caldwell, and now traveling from further away to still stop by once in a while, Cloverleaf is near and dear to my heart. They always have delicious menu options... get the bacon fusion burger and garlic parm wings, you will not be disappointed! As well, whenever they have the crab dip, it is a must. They are always creating new things, new events, and specials (such as specialty drinking cups with certain drinks, of their very extensive bar menu) @rissyjayeats read more

Restaurant has a great selection. But the Bierman knows what really stands out about this place it's very family friendly so I don't expect anything too extreme but it's still good nonetheless. The menu has a wide variety of fried foods, as well as healthier options and salads. I personally recently tried the pork schnitzel-well it wasn't something I could see myself ordering again. I think it makes a great addition to the menu to have that kind of cozy option. read more

I've gone to this place for years and have never had a bad meal. It's a comfort food, it's inviting, it's consistent. The variety of craft beer here is great and the service is always good. Never had an issue with cleanliness, even the bathrooms are decent. The outdoor seating is nice in the summer. I really enjoy sitting in the atrium section, especially when it's sunny out, because you get all the sunshine without the heat. read more

Definitely our family go-to spot for comfort food! The outside patio is perfect on a warm summer evening and the back room has floor to ceiling windows/doors so bright and airy. I've also hosted a group brunch here and making a reservation over the phone was so easy! Service is always excellent including for our group with 5 kids. The kids menu has variety and doesn't disappoint! We always start with the cheese curds and pretzel. I love the buffalo chicken salad and hubby always gets a burger and beer! read more

Man do I wish Yelp had half star ratings, Cloverleaf Tavern is a 4.5 all day. Our server was on point with everything, she was younger so I questioned how she would do while not writing anything down, nailed it. The beer selection was fantastic, it had a wide selection of great beers with creative options for cocktails. The food was great, almost wife got a Cheeseburger Salad with fried pickles. Sweet baby Jesus them fried pickles, wooo. I have to say the Bacon Fusion burger was a little over cooked for my liking but I was also talked into ordering it medium I will be back and have no doubt I will strongly debate changing this to 5 stars read more

Atmosphere is nice. Friendly services from the hostess. Great for big group. We had a party of 10 for 8pm on a Friday night, however we didn't get a table until 8:30. But we were able to get drinks at the bar before getting seated. So the wait is not horrible. Selection of drinks are good. read more

If you want to go out with a group of friends or catch up with someone, I suggest this place for a couple of reasons. 1) They have awesome drinks that are both tasty and pretty. They definitely put the work into creating cool cocktails. 2) A menu that should have something everyone likes. They can accommodate for vegetarian/vegan/gf. 3) The ambiance is great. Both the indoor and outdoor seating has very cool vibes. This place just seems like a neighborhood hangout. It's a 4 star instead of 5 because of the food. The food is just ok. It will get the job done, but it will not blow you away like the drinks will. This place seems better for drinks and appetizers. Overall, really enjoyed this place! read more

Not many restaurants can pull off delivery, most of the time you get it home, or it gets dropped off and you're missing an item, it's ice cold or it just doesn't taste the same as when you eat in. That's NOT the case with the Cloverleaf! Always been Great every time I've ordered and I always do pick up or delivery. Everything is good all of the time! read more

First time at Cloverleaf Tavern, had a 6:30pm dinner reservation, was seated promptly. We chose to sit outside on the back patio, very cute area. Inside is very big but a little too loud for me and my friends since we wanted to chat and catch up. We ordered drinks- all were very good ( Spicy Watermelon Margarita & Pineapple Rum Bliss). For dinner we ordered the cheeseburger, the spicy chicken sandwich, and a salad on the special. Cheeseburger was very good, the chicken sandwich had a kick to it but not overly spicy and the salad was okay. Our server was very nice , she was busy and maybe checked on us 2-3 times , but luckily we didn't need much. Overall good experience. read more

If you're looking for some good drinks accompanied with some comfort food, this is your place! They have a great selection of beers and cocktails as well as some very delicious burgers and comfort food. They don't take reservations but you can be added to their waitlist on Yelp (it moves pretty fast). One warning. The parking on the side street (Hanford Place) has like 6 different and confusing parking signs. Your best bet is NOT to park here. Instead, park in the lot. The cops wait to hand out tickets promptly at 9 pm sharp. read more

What a gem! Had lunch the day before St Patty's and the place was hopping - so festive! I had the fish and chips - large portion, fresh fish. My wife and I decided to dine at Cloverleaf based upon the rave reviews, and this establishment lived up to them. Wonderful, attentive service. Our server was prompt, but didn't rush us. Our drink order arrived from the bar quickly even though the place was packed. We asked for and got great recommendations on our app and meal selections. All I'll say is try the pretzel app. So good. Great vibe on a Saturday night. Tip: you can either get a reservation for a specific time or add you name/cell to the waitlist. We added ourselves to the waitlist on the way there, and our turn came up right as we walked in the door. read more

Friendly, fast service despite being quite busy on a weekend evening. We ate outside. Had the chopped salad and my dining partner had soup and a black bean burger. We also got some homemade potato chips, as was one of the Yelp advertised offers for checking in. Food was definitely a step or two ( or ten!) beyond usual bar food. Waitress was very patient as I changed my order. Planning on returning soon! read more

Was just in the mood for a drink at a random place & found this one, I'm glad I went with this choice. Everyone was very polite soon as we walked in to be seated, the back area is the best part (my opinion) because it's like you're outside but actually inside with a huge plant right in the middle. We had beer & I had wine of course with shrimp tacos, sweet potato fries & wings (all delish) our server Jeremy was also the best & knew his job very well. read more

Haven't been here for 5 years or so -- returned because it is kid-friendly (was taking my grandchildren out to dinner) and nothing else was open over the Xmas weekend. My impression has not changed. Crowded. Noisy. Food was edible, and the grandkids were happy because their mac & cheese and chicken tenders came out quickly (waitress was a mom, and understood), but the rest of our meals came out much more slowly. This is basically a local TGI Fridays, and there's nothing wrong with that, if that's what you're expecting. The place has been around forever, so they must be doing something right. Skip the desserts -- they're standard frozen stuff. read more

I've had some great meals here and today was just another example with an extra kick. My fantastic waitress suggested a sort of slush made with fresh pineapple purée and ice cream, with rum (I stopped at one but it could become an addiction). I had one of the best versions I've ever tried of fish and chips - US or the UK; rolls of perfectly battered very fresh cod, served with potatoes cut in ridges style on an angle, fried but still a bit soft, so they easily absorb more malt vinegar - genius! And a twist to the house made tartar sauce: I'm guessing Old Bay seasoning or the chef's version of it, with a nice kick from smoked paprika and chili powder. My awesome waitress offered me a few extras of sauce to use with my dinner or take home. read more

Always satisfied when I come to Cloverleaf! Friendly staff, extensive beer options, and delicious food specials. This particular day was National Grilled Cheese day and they had 3 great options. I had the short rib grilled cheese and my cousin had the option that was a buffalo chicken cutlet sandwich with fries Mac and cheese and a beer cheese sauce. Both tasted great! We also had the app special, cheeseburger egg rolls, the sauce it comes with is killer. I've been hear many occasions for brunch, lunch, and dinner and have never left unsatisfied. If your a beer drinker this is a spot for you. The bar gets packed but you have the same options if you sit in the dinning rooms. Only 2 or 3 TVs, so it's not a place to catch games but to have awesome food and drink options with good people and conversation this is a place to go! read more

Easily one of the best places I've eaten at in NJ. The staff are always incredibly friendly to everyone as well as being highly knowledgeable about their menu (including the drinks!!).
