My favorite place to hang out. Can't believe the negative reviews. Staff are super careful to wear masks, and guests are socially distanced. Why I like it: Best music, best service, and best food. My current favorite is fish and chips, but instead of chips they allow me to have a salad. Ask for the fish to be extra crispy. Best in town. The sliders and the apple pecan salad (with salmon) are another favorite. I'm always torn. Then there's the honey basil beer.... can't have just one! read more

We had eaten here several times and always received food service and food. After a day of skiing I was craving fish and chips so we chose Cloud 9 It was quiet, service was good and the food arrived quickly. I was so hungry and so disappointed. The first taste of the fries found them dry and not very good. When I tried the fish, it was rubbery and the texture was just terrible. I kept eating thinking the second piece might be better. The more I ate, the more I was disappointed. We left with without eating any more. Very frustrated to have such a disappointing meal. read more

Was looking for a good brewery that had food. After little research headed to Cloud 9. First site was big outdoor area and dog friendly. Was a little stormy so we walked in and sat at the bar. Greeted by friendly staff Nate was our server. I had the special Bombay burger and the other half had blta with blue cheese fries. The food was great. The beer was Awesome! Vienna lager, honey basil, the blonde. All good. Walked around the corner for the bathroom and was amazed the amount of space they have. O you have to try the homemade ginger ale and rootbeer wow. read more

Elusive [ēloosiv]:adj; difficult to find, catch, or achieve. I don't know her name, but I will call the bartender Elusive since it seems to fit her. My husband and I walked in and sat at the bar. Elusive came and threw two menus at us, her eyes glazed over and devoid of any eye contact (which most human and humanoid-type creatures have evolved to instinctively do) and then turned and walked off to have a drink of whatever she had in her plastic cup, and a bite of her half-eaten sandwich which was by the cash register. 'Elusive must be having something spicy' I thought to myself, assuming that only a bartender with a burnt tongue would fail to greet a customer in friendly Boise, Idaho. It took her a good ten minutes to get back to us, even though she wasn't taking care of anyone else either! There were empty glasses in front of most of the customers sitting at the bar. We finally ordered and weren't even offered silverware or napkins when the food came out. She just plopped it in front of us without a word and then went back to chat with another worker. Our beers were empty by then and Elusive didn't offer another.We gave up on having her come back by and had to go BEHIND THE BAR TO GET OUR OWN SILVERWARE! One guy sitting at the end was ignored for about 10 minutes when he came in. I predict that this place will not make it much longer unless changes are made. read more

We used to go to Cloud9 at least once a month. We will not be supporting this brewery since they do not follow covid19 mask mandate that City of Boise has put forth. I went to pick our dinner the other evening but found out that a host, a waiter or a manager and a cook did not have their mask on.The host was not even pretending to wear a mask. So many other good restaurants in Boise are complying with the mask mandate and want our business and keep open and yet Could9 does not seem to care even after the city has confronted them at least 4 times. read more

I actually liked that it was in a sort of run down dilapidated strip mall (but that's sort of common here). Food and beer were fine and they were nice to my dog who decided to act like an ass-clown. They brought her a bucket of ice and that calmed her down. Not on 8th Street is a plus. read more

Wow, if I could give this place 100 stars I would!! First off we had 4 adults and 6 kids one being an infant. They were MORE run accommodating to our allergies, and very large party. The waitress was incredible and super helpful, the food was INCREDIBLE and the beer AMAZING! Why I'm even writing this review had nothing to do with the food, but my 2 month old was crying like crazy and one of the managers (I suppose) offered to hold him so we could eat and drink!! I did a sampler of five beers and all but one was excellent. The special was a pork tenderloin with horseradish mashed potato. Not fantastic but Good Would come back for the beer - maybe not the food. Salted Carmel stout was the best beer of my trip to Boise. read more

Great north end hidden treasure! Beer - 5/5 stars. The best fish and chips in the treasure valley! Service is hit and miss, sometimes its awesome, sometimes it sucks. I enjoyed this place a lot! We popped in for lunch on Labor Day and enjoyed a couple of beers with our meals. I got the BLAT sando (bacon lettuce avo tomato) while my S.O. got the Mac and cheese with bacon. The side salads were yummy with homemade blue cheese. Great beer, my personal favorite is the Honey Basil. They also offer half sizes if you don't want a whole pint. Food wise, Blue cheese fries are a must, I want to lick the plate clean every time and pretty much do. The portions are huge though, so a half order is a good idea for two people, get the whole order for a larger table. The Asian sesame dressing is delicious if you are into salad. The one and only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is it is small, and busy. So the wait can be long, with that being said, it is worth it. read more

We love this place. The food and service are outstanding, and the beers are tasty. I've pretty much eaten my way through the entire menu over the last few years, and have enjoyed everything I've had. One of the rare places that I eat where I don't have to reach for the salt and pepper. The burger is right up there with the best in Boise, IMO - you can tell they use quality ingredients here. Great salads. No rock-hard packing material tomatoes here. And I still think about a salmon and risotto special I had here once. And fantastic chili in the winter. I could go on about the food. And, I love breweries and there's always something I like on the tap list. Friendly owners who I genuinely enjoy visiting with when I'm there. I see a couple of bad reviews here, and I'm dumbfounded by them - that has not been my experience here. Especially the review about the "bland, unseasoned" burger. I don't know what happened there - I've had the burger at least 20 times - it's my go-to - and it's been perfectly seasoned, well cooked, great beef - every single time. I really have no criticisms whatsoever. It can be difficult to find a seat, but they are expanding, so problem solved, I assume. If you haven't been here, and you like cozy pubs with great food - get to Cloud 9 stat. read more

This lived up to the hype! We kept trying to get here and last night we stopped by. The patio was inviting and the seating was better than normal patio seating so we decided on that because of the beautiful weather. Our server was very knowledgeable of the different beers and food specials. I started out with the Salted Caramel Stout, and the wife had their malbec, which were both great. The Salted Caramel tasted like a Guinness with a fresh twist and wasn't quite as heavy. I had the classic burger and she had the Apple Pecan Salad. The food came out quick and was skillfully made. The meat and veggies were all very fresh and flavorful without having to drown it in ranch or mayo. The second beer I had was the Never Say Never IPA, which was the highlight of the evening. Very tasty for an IPA but not as hoppy as I expected. It was an beer I'd give to someone just starting out on IPAs. Went down smooth, light and refreshing. Perfect for a July evening. As an added bonus, they accidentally poured an extra one and gave it to us! So I was feeling it when I left. The wife finished with the chocolate mousse dessert which was tasty but unmemorable. The one knock I would give it would be the location, as it's right next to an Anytime Fitness and you can see people on the treadmills. I'm excited to go again, and since it's walking distance from my house I feel like I'll be there a lot! read more

Great, incredibly flavorful beer and a neat little space. The NSN IPA, Salted Caramel Stout, ChocoLantern, and especially the Pumpkin Ale are absolutely stellar beers. The WeeHeavy is also quite good. Wasn't a fan of the Blonde Ale, but I'm not a fan of that style in general. Overall, a killer stop for craft beer in Boise. I had to come back and update my review for the Kale Caesar Salad alone. Seriously. Ok, fine, and I had a really great server this time too. But the salad! I'm not even much of a salad person, but I got this salad (with the wild-caught salmon) and I can't stop thinking about it, it was that good. I couldn't tell you what was so great about it (if I could I'd have it every night for dinner for the next month), just try it. I do still have to stand by my original review and advise against getting the horribly overpriced tasters. I feel like they're doing themselves a bit of a disservice with that. I really wanted to love this place. It's not for lack of service. Every time we have been here the staff has been really nice and polite. I've tried a few of the beers and they are decent. I love the concept of a nano brewery and small batch beer. One thing I typically love about these small breweries is the usually outstanding gastropub food. Unfortunately cloud 9 is consistently under par. We've come in3 times now and ordered3 different options. Each time it ranges from lackluster to down right inedible. The burger was so over cooked and over salted I couldn't eat it. The chicken pesto sandwich was also bland and flavorless. The skewers were paltry and over cooked. It's sad because again the staff is nice the concept is great but if you go don't waste your time on the food. read more

Their Golden State Steam beer was pretty darn good here! Def worth a try if you like Anchor Steam. Their food is fantastic, I had the fish and chips and that lemon tartar sauce was soo good! I almost don't want to write a great review because this gem is highly coveted. It's small, but accommodates. The food is low-key phenomenal, and it appears that they make their own ketchup/fry-sauce (tastes that fresh). And of course, the beers. American Amber and the blonde ale are favorites. We love this place. It's our neighborhood hang. It is the kind of place that reminds us of little pubs in the northeast....except with the added bonus that they brew their own amazing beer! So, the beer. Fantastic. How they keep up such an amazing rotation of brew with that tiny nano brew space is beyond my understanding. The Salted Caramel Stout is hands down the best. But I love their one off imperial styles as well. All of the beer selections are interesting and very tasty. I haven't been fond of the lighter end of the spectrum beer offerings. But those aren't generally my cup of tea anyway. There's really something for everyone in terms of beer and food. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. The regular menu offerings are fantastic. We also have enjoyed many of the nightly specials. The salads are fresh. The salmon is always stellar. The burgers are just right. One of the best burgers in town. It has been fun getting to know the staff and owners. They are all such nice folks. Excellent service. The vibe in there is laid back and fun. It's such a tiny but cozy space. And we love the patio action in the warmer months. Could Nine is such a winner. read more

I would like to call myself a Brewery Connoisseur but the reality is that I just like Breweries! I like the sound, smell and atmosphere a brewery gives to a relaxing dinner. My first though about Cloud 9 was, am I in the right place? My GPS said I had arrived but it sure didn't seem like it. In fact, if I didn't have to drive to the end of the parking lot to turn around, I would have missed it. Let me clear up one very important detail, Cloud 9 is an upscale pub not a Brewery. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely a brewery that brews some very creative and unique beers, but all in all it is a very nice pub. I really enjoyed the IPA! The food was pretty good but a little over priced for the quality of ingredients and setting. The one thing that really through me for a loop was when I used the restroom there was no sink to wash my hands!!!!!!!!! Seriously, a "brewery" where people frequently have one to many drinks and have a hard time aiming, if you know what I mean, and no sink to wash there hands! That's crazy!!! But I was wrong, there was a sink. It was outside the bathroom right next to the kitchen. Yes, that's right..... I watched a salad being made while I washed my hands. Anyway, it is a nice place and if you like beer you would be doing yourself an injustice if you didn't give it a try. read more

The food here is surprisingly exceptional for this small strip-mall based brewery. They use a lot of organic ingredients and try to use local products. The sauces are home-made. I have had their wilted Cesar kale salad, which is crave-able. You really can't go wring with the food. I am not a beer drinker but everyone I've gone with has enjoyed that side of it too. Service can be tricky, I think mainly because it's a small place but when both indoor and patio are packed, it can get slow and hard to waive some one down. read more
