Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name) was awesome!! The oven roasted chicken Dijon - the chicken was just ok, but the mashed potatoes were really flavorful. The salmon dish was great all around. The salmon was blackened (suggested by waitress) and the pomegranate reduction that was served with it was very good. That entree was definitely the winner out of the two! Pork chop- ordered medium well and it was served rare. Had to send it back and waited 15 minutes for it to be cooked properly. And the potatoes with the pork chop were not cooked. Despite having a reservation for 7 pm, the restaurant made us wait ten minutes before seating us. Guests who had reservations scheduled after ours were seated before we were, which I found to be pretty frustrating, especially since we arrived on time. The restaurant has a dark, upscale atmosphere and was packed which we hoped meant the food would be delicious and we definitely weren't disappointed. As an appetizer, we got the crab and artichoke dip. It was really creamy and paired well with the crunchy baguette. Personally I loved that the dip didn't have any spinach in it because I'm intolerant to it, so I appreciated that I was also able to enjoy the appetizer. Definitely do not come here if you are hungry. We didn't get served until more than an hour after we were seated. Thankfully, the cosy atmosphere didn't make it feel like we were waiting forever, and my family enjoyed catching up while we waited for our food. But by the time our food did come we were definitely starving. My mom's seafood trio was cooked to perfection. The scallops were not at all rubbery, I loved how perfectly the seafood paired with the glaze. The garlic shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned and I loved the texture of the salmon. My mom is a seafood lover, and she adored her dish. My dad and I both ordered the crab and shrimp fettuccine, and I was grateful that they were able to accommodate me and make my dish without spinach. I thought the pasta was well done and the white wine sauce was delectable. The portions for everything were huge and we had plenty of leftovers for the next day. My sister and I shared the fettuccine along with a side of lobster mac & cheese which was to die for. We adored how creamy the cheese was and paired with the lobster, it made for a really filling meal. Between the two of us, we were barely able to make it through half the dish, even though it was so delicious that we wanted to keep eating. For dessert, we picked out the bread pudding which was absolutely delicious. Bread pudding is a favourite in our family and Clinkerdagger's is well-made and definitely on par with other ones we've tried, though it didn't stand out. Sadly, after several solid meals here, my birthday dinner experience was pretty awful. It started out positively, with a good table, a nice view outside, and a card saying "Happy Birthday". Decent salad, good drinks. Then they were out of scallops, which is what I had wanted. So I ordered the most expensive fish on the menu, the Alaskan halibut. Unfortunately, it arrived so ridiculously salty, it was totally inedible. I had my husband try it as he loves salt, and he couldn't believe it. He said to send it back. Then he finished his meal while I waited 25 minutes for them to remake my meal. It finally arrived and it wasn't much better. The (very nice) waiter said the kitchen was out of beurre blanc, so they had used the salty garlic butter that was on the garlic bread. How were they out of butter and wine to make a sauce on a Thursday night? If I sent back fish for being way too salty, why would they cover it in a salty garlic sauce? Why not just leave it plain with some lemon or something? It was not good. The manager said the kitchen told her they would make fresh beurre blanc. I felt misled and horrible about expensive fish being wasted. So then it was an hour and a half later and I hadn't had dinner, only a psalad and some bread. I was offered dessert on the house but I just wanted to leave. I'm still feeling confused about how badly this went. We are so disappointed with Clinkerdaggers management. First, our server was the only positive about our visit last night, she was great and had to deal with the managements failures all night. We had a reservation at 5:15, got there at 5;00. At 5:30 a customer asked the lady dealing with reservations if they were on schedule? She said yes?. We finally got seated at 5:45, half an hour late!. We had drinks, starters, and ordered dinner. The poor waitress kept giving us excuses for our late meals. So we finally got our meals at 8:30PM!, yes, 8:30PM. There is no excuse for this, three hours of waiting. Then to top it off, our food was lookwarm. I ordered the 16oz prime rib, I was so disappointed, waiting so long for a delicious prime rib, I obviously got the last piece, it was 50% fat, and I am not kidding. Clinkerdagger was the best part of our trip. My wife and I drove up from Utah and stayed in Spokane for the night of our anniversary, on our way up to Seattle/Tacoma. Our server and hostess were kind and gave us a free Crème Brûlée for our anniversary and I will say our server was flawless with attentiveness, care, and hospitality. We started with a large Caesar salad to share, and when I say it was the best salad of my life I don't even know how that's possible, but it truly was. She had the 7 oz steak that comes with asparagus and mash, and also ordered a side of mushrooms. It's important to note that I'm not a mushroom person, and had no problem helping her finish them off when she was full! I ordered the Seafood Trio where I had the pleasure of enjoying THE best salmon I've ever tasted in my life, along with beautifully cooked shrimp and scallops. Easter dinner, I got the Cesar, prime rib and key lime pie special. I would have to say, in all honesty, that I was served the worst prime rib I have ever had - probably that anyone has ever had. Super dry (like jerky), thin and without any hint of flavor. I would not doubt that this is a cut that was leftover from the previous day. Ugh! I am embarrassed for them. Completely unacceptable. The Cesar salad was unexciting but palatable. The mashed potatoes were quite excellent, and the calamari appetizer was fantastic. The key lime pie was NOT key lime pie, it was more like a jello-like dessert wedge. It was fine, but not as advertised. Our waitress was nothing short of sensational! 2025 STILL NO VEGAN OPTIONS, gave the salmon a try regardless of the lack of plant based options and was disappointed. Had weird chemical taste like it was cooked in plastic or something, probably better off eating it raw sashimi style. The waiter was at least able to swap the mashed potatoes for fingerling potatoes but they were over seasoned and super oily. Despite the nasty food my drink was a dragon mojito very yummy, would get again! Your best bet for a plant based meal would be a salad with no cheese and maybe fries? They probably use same oil for fish and chips though as they do for the fries. Heres hoping they expand their menu somewhat in the coming year! First off the good, our service was phenomenal, we had a reservation and did not have to wait, I sure would recommend a reservation. Our wait staff was so friendly and knowledgeable and had recommendations aplenty. The atmosphere is fun in a vintage building on the water. The cesar salad was fresh and flavorful with house made croutons and I'm guessing house made dressing. The bad? Honestly the food is so over rated. Prime rib with herb crust.....it was a poorly seasoned piece of beef with no flavor. The crusted chicken was mediocre at best. The mashed potatoes were somehow too smooth and starchy AND lumpy. And the fresh seasonal vegetables were not prepped well still having stems and ends, and were not seasoned. The crème brûlée was grainy like the sugar wasn't cooked enough in the custard. The food was phenomenal, the views were amazing, and the ambience was comfortable but lively. Make sure to request a window seat when booking so you can fully enjoy the Spokane river! I had the prime rib and lobster, both of which I would order again because they were amazing, and my husband had the fettuccine and lobster Mac and cheese. We shared the teriyaki beef tips (amazing) to start and a crème brûlée for dessert. Tried Clinkdagger for lunch and I had mixed feelings walking out. The building itself is honestly stunning, big windows, really cool setup, felt kinda special just sitting there. That said, getting food took forever, we waited around 40 minutes and it stretched past an hour total for simple sandwiches, which felt rough. No wait to be seated so I figured it would be quick, guess not. The manager then said "let me see what I can do for you" like some kind of car salesmen negotiating...I just want lunch. The ambience felt a bit off too, kinda dull energy even with such a nice space. Food tasted decent once it showed up, just wish the timing was better. Great place for dinner and drinks! We had this recommended to us by a gal at another restaurant and it was very good. We made a reservation (recommend you do this as it's very busy). They gave us a wonderful table by the river. We had 4 people in our party and everyone was happy with their dinner. Had a combo of appetizers, which was great. It had some Shrimp, some artichoke dip, teriyaki bites, etc. they also had a chowder that was delicious. The rest of the meal was delightful and the restaurant itself was very "cool" and inviting . I forget the name of the gentleman who served our family, but he was lovely and our service was great. He was so prompt and made sure our drinks were refilled and our bellies were full. It is my first time visiting Spokane this was high on the recommendation list when I was asking around of what to try. I was extremely underwhelmed and disappointed. I came during lunch and got some of the lunch items. The food was very salty. I started off with a lunch box for $25 that came with either a soup or salad along with an entree. I started with a clam chowders which was super thick and salty 0/5. Tasting appetizer which came with coconut shrimps, crab and artichoke dip and a seared teriyaki tenderloin. The coconut shrimps were overcooked but saved by the sauce on the side 1/5. Crab and artichoke dip was super oily and salty with minimal crab flavor, I will say the first bite is good but after 2 bites you'll be sick of it 1/5. The last appetizer, teriyaki tenderloin was SUPER salty, it was supposed to come with crispy rice but the rice tasted like something they scrapped off the bottom of a pan, it wasn't fully crispy and stuck to your teeth as you were eating 0/5. The last item I ordered was an Asiago crusted sole (not pictured) it came with 2 fried soles, rice and some potatoes. The sole was absolutely horrible, super salty, the crust was drenched with oil, potatoes were undercooked, rice was mediocre, very overcooked and doused in butter. I tried it with some lemon hoping it would mellow down the flavors but still delivered the same results, 0/5. The entrance and indoor dining are dark yet intriguing. We wanted to eat outside, which was a good choice. I don't like to be in dark restaurants. We shared fish & and chips, and hubby had oysters. He said they were very good. I had a mango - lemonade - so good. They brought this garlic butter laden bread that was to die for. I would not suggest eating this if you are on a romantic date.
