This took some time for me to decide between a 3 star and a 4 star. This place is awesome as far as vibes go, I will say that. Great place to grab some drinks and bites and hangout. I highly reccomend as a place to reunions, parties, etc. Some reviews say it's super pricey, don't believe them. I mean it is not cheap by any means, but It's failry priced l, especially given the portions. Be prepared to split. My recommendation: FLATBREAD. Absolutely delicious flatbreads. If it wasnt for the sheer glory that their flatbreads are, it'd be a 3 star review. If I had 1 suggestion for the owners it would be to expand their flatbread menu and shrink other parts of their menu. For instance I saw tons of people with flatbreads, not a single person with sushi. I just don't see the point in having sushi at a pub I guess. So Cliff Dining Pub offers 3 experiences to customers. I will rate each one the best I can 1) As a restaurant: 3 stars. They have a solid 3 star menu with solid 3 star food. Nothing too original...typical] pub/gastropub food like burgers, wings, flatbreads, fried stuff, etc. It's a very basic menu with maybe 2 or 3 original plates. Prices range but it is affordable. Like I said before, I don't know why some people say it's too expensive, that's just a lie. It's a good price for what you get. The overall quality of the food is mostly good, but where it lacks is execution and originality. The shrimp was tasty but dry. The steak was tender but overseasoned. The chicken was good but very chewy. You get the point. It wasn't bad at all, I left satisfied but not longing to really eat anything again other than the flatbreads. There menu was so basic as well. But to be honest this is okay cause they are in Draper. Draper needs a spot like this. They'd go out of business in SLC but more south there is a huge demand. It's basic and boring to me cause I've been to many gastropubs and bars with much better food. But people of Draper and sandy don't know the difference. Service was very mediocre. We had a reservation at 7:30 and weren't seated till 8pm and they sat us at the bar. I watched a dozen walkins get seated before us. When I asked why, they said "your assigned table is still being useford". Like WTF? You assign a table to a reservation? Nah nah nah. I took the time to reserve myself a spot, sit me down when I get in at any table. Not fair. This pissed me off. 2) As a bar: 4 stars. If you drink and live in this area well here ya go. Cliff Dining Pub gives yall an actually decent place to go drink. They have a good drink selection from wines to beer to liquor. It is not small but nowhere near the places in SLC. But once again, service was meh. The knowledge of the waitstaff about alcohol was disappointing. Very limited. BUT besides that, they make an enjoyable bar experience. Combined with their food, they have a nice bar. 3)As a lounge: 5 stars. A complaint you'll see across reviews is that people had to wait a long time to be seated because the other people won't leave. This is true. I myself was there for a nearly a full 2hrs. You just lose track of time because it is very comfortable to just sit. They have a gorgeous view, great vibes and a cool patio. Big windows , good music. I wish they'd expand on this lounge idea more. We had no idea how to get on the patio. I really wanted to sit out there. Regardless, indoors is very nice to sit and hangout as well. 5 stars for a place to hangout. Bring your friends, grab a drink and some pubgrub and youre sure to have a good time. Overall, Cliff Dining Pub is a 4 star establishment. Strictly as a restaurant, it was just okay. I wouldn't go back just to eat unless I had a group of friends. It isn't cheap enough to go back unless it was for a reason, but not too expensive to avoid. The big portions make up the difference. But I highly recommend if you have a group of friends, going on a date or other such thing. As a bar and as a hangout spot, they have it good. Although they have mediocre service, a basic menu and perhaps some organizational issues with seating, Cliff Dining Pub is a worthy option for any night out. Go with confidence! read more

We had the most amazing time at Cliff Dining Pub. The atmosphere was perfect as we sat at our high table looking down over the valley of Draper. The food was delicious. But our favorite thing about our evening was our server/bartender, Bing. He recommended the most perfect cocktails and he made us feel like friends. I hope to return when he is working again. We've had good experiences at The Cliff in the past, but today, the service was very poor. Our server prided himself on not needing to write down our order, so when our entrees were delivered (after a 30 minute wait) they were wrong. He reordered the entrees and they took another 30 minutes to arrive. We had waited so long, we just boxed them up to take home. When we got home, we realized that they had given us the wrong food again!! read more

My first time here but surely not my last! I'm not sure what to mention first. Our server Aldo was one of a kind. He had our food out fast and was incredibly friendly and aware of all our needs! Everything was great! All of our entrees and drinks were fantastic! I can't wait to return and when I do I'm specifically going to request Ashley as our server! My wife and I were absolutely blown away with her great service! My wife sometimes could be very picky especially when at a new restaurant but Ashley was very patient and courteous to us and all of our inquiries. All her suggestions were phenomenal and she left a great lasting impression on us, which is what led to this review. Great atmosphere and a nice change! I've now tried it for brunch and dinner and loved both. The lemon basil pancake was delicious! The skillet burrata, the Juicy Lucy burger and the lemon chicken pasta were all winners in our group! We will definitely be back and will spread the word about this great spot! read more

This Place is awesome! We reserved the private room for our group of 25+ people. The staff handled the large group with ease and did a wonderful job at keeping everyone satisfied. Tonight we got the wing appetizers, French dip and firebird chicken. The French dip wasn't our favorite. It could use some more flavor. Wow. I want to like this place...the servers have always been good, the food is pretty good, love the view, it's convenient. The front staff is HORRIBLE AND RUDE. We've been here 4 times, and every time the middle-aged ladies at the hostess stand have an attitude. They treat you like they don't want you there or you're not good enough to be there. For real??? I have a doctorate, you're a hostess---don't act like you're better than me or I am inconveniencing you by trying to eat at your restaurant. We've run into several snafus trying to make a reservation for their patio--first they say they can't reserve it, then if there are spots open they say they are reserved. What the??? Unless they change their behavior, we WON'T be back. I'd rather drive the 30 minutes into downtown and be treated well by people who actually want my money. I know I'm not the only one who's had this issue. read more

2 weeks ago we celebrated my daughters 1st Communion at the Cliff. I worked with Kendra and Dean and they were amazing. I was unsure of how many people would come and how to make the menu work for our event. After several emails and phone calls, we came up with a great solution and they were so flexible, they wanted our event to be a success..... The evening of the event I mixed up the menu and our waiter and Dean worked quickly to correct my mistake. All my guests raved about the food and enjoyed everything they ordered. Got seated pretty quickly, however, we waited for 20 minutes without anyone greeting us. 2 servers and 2 busboys walked by us many times, we tried to get their attention but everyone acted like they didn't see us. Two managers were setting up a table right next to us and didn't acknowledge us or care we didn't have water or anything. We ended up walking out and told he manager on the way out. We love this place. We came for Easter brunch and it was a circus in the dining area so we opted for the bar area. The waiter kept our waters and coffee full the entire time we were there. We ended up having to wait a little long for our food because it was so busy, but when we got it it was worth the wait! The manager came over and chatted with us to check in, he was very sweet and we appreciated his kindness. Unfortunately, there was an upset couple behind us who left a nasty review before they even left their table even though the manager had literally just comped their food to help appease them. Some people don't understand the stress and chaos of the serving/bartending industry and therefore are unforgiving when a restaurant gets behind. Anyways, we'll be back again and again! This place is a great spot for good food and drinks. The craft cocktails and great food items make this a go-to spot for a girls night or date night. The bar area is usually packed on the weekend, so get there early. If you are dining, it's best to make reservations.
