Bar
Nichole M.

Best place for French onion soup and a beer. If you are looking for an authentic, family owned, Irish Pub, look no further. This place provides an original, relaxed, family-friendly environment for guests to enjoy. Service is fast and fabulous. The staff is friendly, patient and kind. The place does get packed, but never crowded. Belly up to the bar, rub elbows and make a new friend in Howell. You will not be disappointed here.

Irish Melt, get extra basil mayo
Dan A.

Loved our time here! Connor was friendly and fast. Order the breadsticks and take home the extra, someone at your house will thank you! We got fish and chip ... light batter and very good. Top menu item. Coleslaw was fresh, cabbage still had a crunch, and easy on the mayo. We also got the Irish Melt that is turkey and bacon. What made this was a basil mayo that hit your taste buds after your taste! Ask for extra, it was that good. Irish Mule was made with Paddy's and was well done.

Michigan Salad is amazing! I got it with blue cheese dressing
Grace D.

First time here and it was fabulous. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was wonderful. We had a party of three and everyone enjoyed their entree. Thank you to Taylor, who made some good menu suggestions. The nacho is delicious and enough to share. The Michigan salad was so fresh. Loaded with blue cheese, cherries chicken and more. The Cleary's sliders (you get three) were so good and filling as you get a hearty portion of fries too.

First time at this chain restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised at how good their subs are. I…read moreordered the 11" wreck which is the largest of three available sizes, where my sub came with the base ingredients of sliced turkey breast, hickory smoked ham, Angus roast beef, salami and Swiss cheese. In addition to the base ingredients I personalized my Sub at their free toppings station with deli Mustard, lettuce, onion, tomato, and Italian seasoning. The end result was a very tasty sub packed full of fresh ingredients served inside a crunchy hoagie roll that was quite good in its own right. This sub is a bit more expensive than the other chain subs in the area but is well worth the added cost where aside from the great taste the main thing that stood out to me was the crunchiness and fullness of my sub (unlike the soggy compressed sandwiches you so often get from the competition) . Relative to the restaurant, it was bright, very clean with a very friendly staff that handled my order promptly with minimal wait time while my sub was being prepared. Additionally there is quite a varied selection of subs to choose from where if you are into subs/sandwiches they will have something that will cover the taste buds for most customers. Aside from their subs, they also have a decent selection of Soups, Salads and Shakes to complement your meal. Overall a business you should definately check out if you are in the area, especially if you are into well made subs as I am. You will definately not be disappointed!

We came here for my birthday dinner. It was a prom evening but most of the group dates were in…read moretheir way out to make it to the dance when we were getting seated. We had a larger group, about 12 (10 adults, 2 kids) and were seated at an "L" shaped table formed by pushing 2 differently shaped tables together, meaning half of our group couldn't see the other half without having to swing around or endure a cricked neck. Our server was pleasant, and attentive in the beginning. Before our appetizers had even arrived, we were already being asked for meal orders. Kinda felt rushed, but put our meal orders in and the appetizers came out. They were all very tasty, and the new pickle fries with ranch were very tasty. Would have been better if the silverware came out before the appetizers came, but maybe the wash washers were backed up from the all of the prom diners that were just leaving. Either way, we had a Second Lady bringing over silverware, so we had to wait to eat until she got there. Shortly after, our entrees arrived, also very delicious! I got the "Pick 2" BBQ items with 2 sides. One of my sides was incorrect, but the severs corrected it the mistake quickly. At this point, the entire table needed refills but the wait staff had completely disappeared for our half of the dining room. I observed other tables (like a couple in a booth kitty-corner from us) was looking around for assistance while I was. It was nearly 30 minutes before a server swung by again to get empty plates out of the way. I don't know if they were trying to get us to leave or what, but joke's on them, we still had presents and cupcakes to do! After our table was FINALLY cleared of enough played and empty cups to conclude our birthday celebration, we enjoyed our cupcakes from M Street Bakery. The wait staff didn't offer us any clean small plates so we had to have our deserts from their wrappers or off of our leftover dirty plates. Honestly, we could have asked for desert plates but we should have been offered them by the waitstaff. Our group explained in the beginning that we're would have separate checks, and when the checks came,it took multiple times for the splits to be done correctly, and one check had to be voided and a credit card transaction had to be refunded and Ran again because the wrong check was charged for the wrong items. I'm willing to give Block Brewing another shot, not on a holiday/school weekend. Maybe we had walked in after a HS dance tornado had just blown through, and everyone was just pooped. It just kinda felt like our whole group was kind of an afterthought and we were put in a corner: out of sight, out of mind.
