The indoor fire creates a warm and inviting atmosphere and on a nice day you can also sit outside! I will come here just for food, even when I'm not skiing. On weekends they have a very affordable all-you-can-eat brunch with rotating brunch specials every week! This past weekend they had regular and blueberry pancakes that were delicious. In addition, they always have eggs, potatoes, breakfast meats, fruit, pastries and more. The new chef and F&B manager are both killing it with a new menu and tons of fresh ingredients. So many improvements on the food since I was here a couple years ago. Plus the staff is friendly and professional. Overall a great experience every time! Pro-tip: Try the Epic Burger! The Spanish Coffee was one of the best I've had. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was how my food allergies were handled. I had included my dietary restrictions in our reservation and also called the restaurant the night before to make sure they could accommodate me. I was reassured after they checked with the kitchen that most items on the menu could be modified to work within my restrictions. Based on that conversation, I felt comfortable keeping our reservation. Since we were dining with others for a birthday celebration, I had hoped the information from my reservation and phone call would have been communicated to our server so I wouldn't need to go through all of my restrictions again at the table. Instead, I had to explain everything during dinner. Because the restaurant is extremely loud and the tables are packed closely together, our server had to stand across the table from me, which meant having to discuss my allergies loudly in front of our entire party and the surrounding tables. It was an uncomfortable and awkward situation. What was most frustrating, however, was then being told that my options were essentially limited to a protein and green beans. This was a far cry from what I had been told the night before that the kitchen could modify most items on the menu to accommodate me. I completely understand that not every restaurant can accommodate every allergy or dietary restriction, and I don't expect them to. My concern is that I specifically called ahead for this reason and relied on the information I was given. Had I been told beforehand that my options would be so limited, we simply would have chosen another restaurant where I could enjoy a nice meal along with everyone else for my husband's birthday. For anyone dining with significant food allergies or restrictions, I would recommend getting very specific information about what can actually be accommodated before making a reservation.

I have been to many Delis. Including New York, Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, and many others. Even thou it does not have the recognition or name like Zingermans i would say its just as good or better. The corned beef is excellent, flavor with every bite, but my favorite of all is the pastrami it had a nice kick to it not to spicy but for sure the real thing. I have been to StateSideDeli several times over the years and each time it's better and better. Me and my friends went there a few days ago, we all tired different sandwiches, different meat, breads, and topping. I would have to say i was happy with all of them. The soups caught my eye fresh and homemade what more could you ask for. I tried the Chicken Lemon Rice just like mama's. i really enjoyed the atmosphere, staff, and more importantly the food. A real Deli worth eating at.I always recommend StateSide Deli to others that want to eat good homemade food. read more

We had a Sunday lunch & have to say - what a waste! Overpriced sandwiches and average food. Kids meals were lousy and the pop is extra for them. What 5 yr old needs 16oz of pop? The corned beef was tasteless, the pastrami was average and the best part was the extra .50 charge for grilling your bread. SERIOUSLY?? Now you buy a sandwich and they have the nerve to charge you to cook it? Wonder if they charge the grilled bread charge when you order the grilled ham and cheese? I suspect most towns have a "down home" restaurant like Sunrise and it's always been a good dining experience.
