Here's what i think about Stateside Deli in Howell/Brighton. It's in this brand new, modern church building, but you wouldn't even know it. Totally separate from any church activities, so it doesn't feel like you're eating in a pew or anything. They've got some kind of partnership with the church, you see ads and TV content from them. Now, the food--just killer. If you're into lamb and gyros, this is a good spot. They've got all sorts of sandwiches and omelets too. And the coffee? They've got these fancy mix options that are just top-notch. The service is on point, fast and flawless. Honestly, you should check out some of the pictures I posted and tell for yourself! Plus, it's super accessible. Handicap access and tons of parking, even on Sundays. Sunday mass is not a worry. If you're in the area, you've gotta check it out.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise this place is!! Everything here is made from scratch, and delicious . I ordered- 1) toffee latte- it was delicious. 2) crispy chicken salad, was huge!! And fresh and delicious!! 3) French onion soup- very hearty, full of onions and delicious. 4) caramel cookie cheesecake- HEAVEN- holy goodness, it was amazing!! The staff here is so welcoming and friendly! I love the atmosphere here too. I will be back for sure when I'm in this area! I give them ten stars

We loved the food. Owner operated. The food is made with passion. Racheal made us feel so welcome.

Solid 3.5. I've eaten here three times and I think it's pretty solid. Priced decently. Service is good. The portions are good and quality is good. The only complaint I have is the cleanliness of the restaurant.

They make an amazing club sandwich and use quality ingredients. My go to sandwich whenever I visit.

The Dawn

Not only does State Side Deli serve out of this world sandwiches, everything we've ever ordered has been fantastic! My absolute favorite sandwich is The Dawn. As you can see I couldn't even wait to take a photo of the whole sandwich. The owner is the friendliest as well, she always has a smile and makes our dining in or out memorable. Their newer location in the front of the 242 church is beautiful. My husband and daughter really love the D-Town Ruben and I agree it's great too. Looking to try something delicious today. Stop by here you won't be sorry, you might just become obsessed like we are.

See how they try to block off the entrance and have a sign so no one can use the bathrooms anymore?

Great sandwich's. No indoor seating. Open only during warmer months. One of my top spots in Petoskey. Always a line of people.

Very disappointed with this restaurant, they have messed up my order 3 times. This sandwiches are to expensive to keep making dumb mistakes.

I was looking in a beer cooler and as I went further down, there was a cooler in the store, accessible to everyone, with raw, uncovered meats. Ew. I will never buy prepared food from there. That seems like it should be against health code. Let's look at the good stuff. If you're looking for a specific beer, this is the place. I came in looking for a Polish beer called Zywiec. It's one of my favorites and they had it! They also had a couple of other Polish beers to try. In addition to the beer selection, it's a great place to grab something you maybe forgot at the grocery store. Just be careful of the hot food!

I got a lamb gyro, which was, well, it got fed to the dog. Pluses, the naan bread was really good and moist-even though it had been under a warmer. The meat, was tough as leather and lacked flavor. It had mayyyybe 3 pieces of onion on it and the sauce/you would think they were rationing out a teaspoon between 20 sandwiches. It was nonexistent. Again, like this place, but don't spend your 10 bucks on this sandwich.

I…read moreordered the 11" wreck which is the largest of three available sizes, where my sub came with the base ingredients of sliced turkey breast, hickory smoked ham, Angus roast beef, salami and Swiss cheese. In addition to the base ingredients I personalized my Sub at their free toppings station with deli Mustard, lettuce, onion, tomato, and Italian seasoning. The end result was a very tasty sub packed full of fresh ingredients served inside a crunchy hoagie roll that was quite good in its own right. This sub is a bit more expensive than the other chain subs in the area but is well worth the added cost where aside from the great taste the main thing that stood out to me was the crunchiness and fullness of my sub (unlike the soggy compressed sandwiches you so often get from the competition) . Relative to the restaurant, it was bright, very clean with a very friendly staff that handled my order promptly with minimal wait time while my sub was being prepared. Additionally there is quite a varied selection of subs to choose from where if you are into subs/sandwiches they will have something that will cover the taste buds for most customers. Aside from their subs, they also have a decent selection of Soups, Salads and Shakes to complement your meal. Overall a business you should definately check out if you are in the area, especially if you are into well made subs as I am. You will definately not be disappointed!

Our waitress was attentive, had everyone's drink order taken as soon as we all trickled in. I ordered the Southwest chopped chicken salad; and added jalapenos. My only constructive criticism for the salad was to actually chop it. It was more of a seared breast that was sliced into strips, it wasn't chopped. With that said, the salad was delicious. The lettuce was fresh, the jalapeno ranch was tasty. I had no complaints putting the whole thing away for lunch. Our waitress did a great job caring for all 8 of us, while we came in at varied times, had several modifications to dishes, and some had to leave early... Great experience.
