First time getting carry out here based upon reviews. I ordered the Howell skillet. The menu prices are outdated in the picture posted. Not a huge deal. But the Howell skillet was 14.80. The meat wasn't cooked very well. I don't think I saw a green pepper, onion or mushroom in it. The cheese was waxy. It was large cubes of potatoes with fatty meat and eggs. Raisin toast was good. I haven't been to a Coney Island in forever and a day. I remember when I lived in the Detroit area I loved the crispy chicken wrap that you could always find and while that particular item was not on this menu, a salad that essentially was the same thing was! And it was good!!! I was in town for a class and had lunch here both days. I also tried a coney dog for old time's sake and it was fine - I think my tastes have matured a bit but it was fun for old times sake. There are clearly established well known regulars that dine here that exhibit a friendly familiarity with the owners. It's a clean, small space and I felt very welcomed and not rushed. Stopped in to get a late breakfast and wanted to see the new place in town. I was really impressed. Its small only about 10 tables, but its cozy and warm. They kept the drive-thru which I plan to take advantage of one of these cold winter days coming up. I got the greek omelette. It was big and fluffy and very tasty. Hashbrowns were well cooked and fresh. Prices were very reasonable. Its owned by a lovely Albanian couple, the wife was our waitress. They had lemon chicken rice soup today, but I didn't try it; I had the gyro for 5.99$; it was very good. We had the opa as an appetizer, which was very good and a first for me. I consider Howell Coney Island to be the best place for breakfast/ brunch in this area. The wait staff is very friendly and courteous which helps make it a good atmosphere. They make sure all is well with your food and make sure your drinks are refilled. The cook is does a good job. The food is great and comes out to your table quickly. Good size portions and priced right. The diner is kept clean (tables, chairs, utensils, dishes, glasses). I haven't tried their lunch menu yet but will do so in the future. read more

Ordered the meat lovers breakfast...was ok. Big portions. Not a fan of ketchup bottles being refilled though . Prefer a bottle of HEINZ ketchup, not a red plastic refillable bottle with something that's obviously not a higher quality ketchup. Toast came un buttered. Scrambled Eggs were a tad dry.
