Delicious! Top notch choice for breakfast in the area. While home, my family and I came here for breakfast and it was so enjoyable. It was packed both days but the wait wasn't long. We were seated rather quickly and immediately greeted by the waitress. Food came out hot and fresh! We absolutely enjoyed this establishment and will definitely return!

Omg what a gem!!! This place was so delicious. All ingredients tasted extremely fresh and portions are very generous. As someone who doesn't eat that much I think I have left overs for 2 days LOL. The service is also amazing, our server Chanda was so attentive and kind. Overall ambience was giving mom and pops which I love. Felt very authentic and like a true local gem. definitely need to come back for food and Chanda

An informal brunch spot filled with hustling workers, getting the job done well! Food was great, good taste, nice variety and good service despite a bustling Sunday crowd. Beyond excited about the speciality bread being made with organic flour and the ability to substitute for gluten free bread without additional charge. Looking forward to trying more of the menu - especially the teas and coffee drinks.

Stuffed Berry French Toast and side of Organic cheesy grits

We arrived at Brothers Brunch House around 1PM on a busy Saturday. After about a 35-minute wait, our buzzer went off and we were seated quickly. It was worth every minute. The food was excellent. One of us had the Chicken & Waffles with a side of Billion Dollar Bacon--crispy, sweet, and totally indulgent. Another tried the Carrot Pancake, which had great texture and flavor and a side of sweet cream made it all come together. The Farm Hash was hearty and satisfying, great mix of ingredients including mushrooms, spinach, and cheese. The Berry French Toast was beautifully done--sweet, fruity, and comforting with a delicious cream cheese filling --and adding a side of grits was a nice Southern touch. Service stood out: warm, friendly, attentive despite the crowd. Plates came with plenty of food so we had leftovers--you can tell they don't skimp. Overall, a wonderful brunch experience. Expect a wait on a busy Saturday, but the food and hospitality make it well worth it.

I came here twice in a month and I had a great time both times. The first time I came alone when I had some spare time and then I brought my mom. The servers were so kind and it was all very quick! I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the Crepes when I came the first time and it was delicious. In my opinion, the bananas in the crepes were overpowering. I came with my mom and got the farmhouse skillet (I think it's called that). And it was huge and delicious!

Amazing food and great service. The chicken and waffles and French toast were on point, and the billion dollar bacon lived up to the hype. Staff was friendly and fast. Highly recommend!

B Baja Breakfast Tacos So AMAZING! Add the Ranchero sauce

Food was AMAZING! Our service was on-point and even with how busy it was, they nailed it.

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes

First time customer and came for the highly recommended lemon ricotta pancakes. They were definitely the best pancakes I've ever had. Light, fluffy and the tart lemon curd was a perfect combination. Please be aware, if you would like one pancake instead of the 2 that are listed, you will pay the full price for half order. I fault the waitress for leaving that information out when I placed the order. I learned a good lesson today and didn't leave as a happy customer. Hoping I can help the next customer.

This is the best place for brunch around! The food and service is always 10/10. Very clean and cozy. There is always a wait but definitely worth it!

The batter is thin, crispy, and not overly heavy, and the flavor feels like something straight out of a home kitchen. This isn't fast-food fried chicken... this is Sunday dinner at grandma's. The meal itself is a lot of food for around $17: four pieces of chicken, real mashed potatoes with homemade gravy, a vegetable, a potato, plus a salad and a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup with those old-school egg noodles. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, not processed or rushed. We also tried the fried mushrooms everyone talks about, and they lived up to the hype. They use large portobello mushrooms, which makes a huge difference. No watery, soggy bite like you get at a lot of places, just a clean, meaty texture with a crispy coating. The atmosphere is calm and cozy. Lighting is dim enough to feel relaxed, and with only about 20 tables, it's not loud or chaotic. No kids running wild or constant traffic in and out, just a laid-back, "take your time" kind of vibe. The space has a log cabin feel with exposed wood, vintage décor, and black-and-white photos. The tables and chairs aren't fancy, but they're clean and fit the nostalgic charm. Service was great during our visit. Our waitress was attentive, checked on us regularly, took our order quickly, and everything came out hot. I've seen mixed reviews about inconsistent service, but our experience (first visit) was very positive. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a win. Between the generous portions, fair pricing, and genuinely homemade feel, this is the kind of place you come back to. They also offer daily specials and make many of their own desserts. I'll definitely be back to try the coconut cream pie. Overall: Comfort food done right, with a cozy, no-frills atmosphere and excellent value.

My fiancée and I wanted Italian food but didn't feel like driving far, so living less than a mile…read morefrom downtown Flint I checked Yelp and Google and found Sauce Italian American Kitchen inside the Hilton. It wasn't busy when we arrived on a Monday evening, but what we ended up experiencing was honestly amazing. We sat down and asked for wine recommendations, and our server James immediately stood out as knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what he was serving. He recommended the Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon. We were not expecting much because the last few bottles we ordered at other restaurants were just okay, but this recommendation was absolutely on point. The wine was excellent and exactly the kind of red we enjoy. My fiancée wanted burrata. I usually don't care for it but agreed, and what came out was a seared burrata with sauce that was rich, warm, and seriously delicious. That was the beginning of a great night. James brought us bread with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and spices, and we loved it. I think it was sourdough but I'm not an expert, I just know we kept eating it. For entrées, my fiancée chose the lasagna and I went with the chicken marsala. The timing was perfect, everything arrived hot and fresh just as we finished the appetizer and our first glass of wine. The chicken marsala was incredible. The seasoning was perfect, the sauce coated the spaghetti beautifully, and the mushrooms tasted fresh and flavorful. Easy 10 out of 10 for me. My fiancée loved the lasagna too and said it tasted homemade in the best way, exactly what she wanted after a long day working at the hospital. We also had the chance to meet the chef behind the food, Chef Khalilah, and she was wonderful to talk to. You can tell she puts real passion into what she does, and it shows in every bite. For dessert, my fiancée went with her classic tiramisu to end the night. I wanted an affogato even though it wasn't on the menu, and James said he had espresso and vanilla ice cream and would figure it out. He absolutely came through. Total hero moment. Honestly, this place deserves recognition. Great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming vibe. People don't always think of Flint as a destination for a great dinner, but they're missing out. Sauce Italian American Kitchen delivered an awesome experience from start to finish. Huge kudos to James, Chef Khalilah, and the whole team. We'll definitely be back.

This evening I ordered the following from DoorDash:…read more * Pasta Verdura (x1) * Side Caesar (x2) I very clearly stated to NOT place my cold salads on top of hot pasta in the bag. I have to state this because they always do this. When my order was delivered I received the Verdura and one House Salad, not my two Caesar Salads. In addition, the House Salad was on top of the hot pasta and was therefore hot as well. Furthermore, the pasta was swimming in sauce. I called the restaurant and spoke with a gentleman. I believe his name was James. I explained the errors to him. He did not apologize at all. In fact, he told me that I either did not enter the note appropriately, or it did not come through on their end. He said that he bagged up my order. He also said nothing about the salad screwups. I told him that putting cold salads on top of hot pasta is their common practice with my orders, he said nothing. I told him that I was bringing this to his attention so that they could improve this practice. Once again, no response. I said to him that not putting cold salads on top of hot pasta should be common sense. He replied with, "I'm not going to have this discussion with you. You can take it up with DoorDash. Well, I am going to take it up with DoorDash and Sauce just lost a frequent and loyal customer. If he bagged up my order he obviously did not check to ensure the order was accurate. His attitude sucked: no apology and blaming the customer. Disgraceful! P.S. No salad dressing with the House Salad.

If there's one thing this city has in spades, it's decent places to grab a coffee. The Palette Cafe…read moreis no exception. Tucked away inside a corner near the front of the FIA, the Palette Cafe has all the makings of an all-around quality coffee spot, featuring a small, but well-rounded brunch menu, solid coffee drinks, free WI-FI, a comfortable atmosphere, and even adult beverages to boot (they serve wine). Years ago, this was a standard-issue, Starbucks-licensed coffee kiosk with some seating, designed to keep patrons of the FIint Institute of Arts happy if they wanted a coffee or a cookie in between checking out art installations. That has changed. Eventually, it came into its own and became the Palette Cafe (the name is obviously a wink to its location within the FIA, wink wink), a full-service coffee shop with a host of food, coffee drinks and more with expanded hours, its own WI-FI connection, events held on-site, and more. Today, it holds its own in a city dripping with places to get a cup of coffee. They serve coffee from the Mighty Good Coffee Company out of Ann Arbor and true to its name, it is mighty good (long gone are the days of serving Starbucks). The Cafe Americano is my go-to drink, smooth and bold at the same time with no acidic aftertaste. Weak, it is not, but it isn't overtly strong and bitter, either. It's just right. Now, that's a good cup of coffee. As for the food, there are a couple of clear winners on their brunch/lunch menu. The caprese flatbread is my favorite on their new "sandwich board" menu. It isn't slapped together in a rush or made with less than fresh ingredients. It was better than I expected it to be. The flavor, texture and presentation were all there. I had no complaints. I'd say it was at least comparable, and in some cases, much better than the caprese flatbreads that I've had elsewhere. They have a quality Mediterranean Veggie sandwich, too, piled high with appropriate fresh vegetables on artisanal bread, an optimal choice for a vegetarian like myself. My husband had a Tuscan Chicken sandwich once and gave it the thumbs up. My husband and I split the hummus appetizer, which was a decent size for two people. I liked the texture and taste of the hummus, creamy without being oily. Oily hummus is a no no, so naturally, I was relieved that it wasn't a disappointment. It was actually quite good and made for a great shareable appetizer. I would order it again. The soup of the day is always made fresh in-house daily, so remember to check that out. The soups rotate frequently, which means what you had last weekend might not be back on the menu for awhile, but it's best to check back regularly for updates. They have a nice variety of fresh baked treats to satisfy a sweet tooth, but my favorite are the sugar cookies, so soft and moist. I'm sad to admit this, but they are far and away superior to any sugar cookies that I've personally ever baked at home. I know, I should be embarrassed about acknowledging that, but who cares? Oh, and I did mention they serve wine, right? Yes, they do! There's nothing wrong with that in my book. Their WI-FI connection is decent, but it largely depends on just exactly where you're seated. Some tables get a better connection than others, so if your connection seems weak, just switch to the gallery's WI-FI and it will probably be fine. I've had to do that a couple of times and it's usually no problem, although I can see where it could be pretty frustrating. They're often open late, usually in tandem with ongoing events at the FIA. They have a "palette punch card" which entitles the bearer to a free beverage after ten purchases and FIA members always get 10% off their bill (20% on certain FIA member appreciation days).
