I am always paying way too much for lemonade, and this lemonade is also way to expensive, but we love expensive lemonade and always buy it because it is delicious. This place has delicious lemonade! I loved their cute little glass barrel decanters of flavors. You can get the flavors in the decanter, or you can spruce it up with other flavors and fresh fruit. (although the fruit was about $3 extra). They also put the adorable flower in the cup and fun colorful straws. The kids each got a different flavor, both very tasty and fresh. We are big into lemonades in this household. The people working here were nice and let us try the flavor first. We were just here to walk around the then get a drink to go, but looking at the menu I would love to come back and try their sandwiches. I love a good club, and theirs looks amazing. I always wanted to eat around the farmer's market, but we are slow to do so, so I would love to come back and do a sit down here in the future. Wow. The sandwich I had was amazing, and I highly recommend. It's a very cute area and not to mention they also have their own freshly squeezed lemonade! The only reason why I give this location a 4/5 was because of the lack of flavor in the lemonade, and the omelette that my friend ordered. The eggs in omelette were not mixed in with everything, rather, it was an egg that was cooked and folded over all of the toppings of the omelette, which sadly was a let down! We put our name in for the wait at SE's almost immediately when we got to Flint's Farmers Market. It gave us enough time to walk the market, pick up a few things, and have a beverage upstairs at the brew pub. We came down I time to catch the last service at the cafe. The decor was colorful and inviting. The staff was prompt and friendly. I had the Reuben sandwich, and my husband had the smoked salmon wrap special. Both were tasty and the food came up quick. My coffee was good and my partner enjoyed the Snickers latte. He said the smoked fish was wonderful, but was a tad heavy on red onion (to which I pointed out he could have pulled some of it out). My Reuben had great flavor and texture, but was wanting to fall apart, so I ate it with a fork and knife - no biggie. It was a yummy start to a beautiful day. Thanks, Steady Eddy's! read more

When you show up with your whole family on a Thursday morning, looking for breakfast and the website and yelp says that the establishment is open, you naturally expect it to be open. When you get here with a crappy sign saying that they're short staffed for Thursday, it makes you never want to come back. What a ridiculous let down. Figure out how to run a restaurant. read more

I adore steady eddys. Their food is always unique, hot, and delicious. I come here whenever I'm in the area for breakfast- or for lunch. They have an amazing selection of soups that rotate daily, although they always have their specialty Turkey chili. For breakfast the south of the border omelet and the Kari Anne breakfast sandwich are my go tos! For lunch the dilly salmon and the hap pita are my absolute favs. The dill sauce is made in house, and I could eat just a container of that! I really enjoy sitting up at the bar and enjoying a nice coffee and talking with the staff, everyone is always so great there! read more

I have always had great food at Steady Eddy's but today encountered some not so wonderful service that really threw me off. A bunch of us students took our lunch break to walk to the market and place to go orders at the restaurant. Upon ordering at the counter there is a shelf all the way across the room to pick up your order. As we ordered we all went to wait for them to be ready. After most of the orders were picked up only 2 of us remained taking up minimal space by the shelf waiting quietly and out of the way for our food. It was then a waitress who was not even waiting on us decided to tell us two to "take a walk" and come back for our food since it was not ready. We simply moved more out of the way into the corner out of the way more where she then (more rudely) told us again to "take a walk" and pretty much get out of the store. I'm usually not one to complain but I just couldn't even fathom what she was telling me at the time. Being a former server I understand how challenging it can be but kindness goes a long way and I was really taken back by the encounter. Maybe switching where pick up orders are picked up could rectify this situation in the future or better directions when placing the order would have sufficed! read more

I miss this food and these people. Everything on the menu is delicious, I've tried it all. Even if you are in a hurry you have time for takeout, kitchen and staff work like an oiled machine. I have more pics of there food on my phone but I'm too lazy to dig them up. I worked there for years and the hardest thing about lunch was choosing what to eat for the day those poor cooks. Anyways if you are in the area and hungry you should definitely check them out. They have awesome espresso drinks, bubble tea and seasonal fresh squeezed lemonade too. read more

Awesome vegetarian-inspired eatery. Great omelets, sandwiches and coffee, but there are amazingly few dark spots when it comes to the menu. I usually order an omelet because they are made exactly the way that I like them! I can't go wrong with an omelet. The wedge potatoes served on the side are so good, I wish there were more. Perfect breakfast spot, although they do traditional brunch well, too. It's a terrific little eatery for anyone who is a vegetarian or just inspired to do a little healthier, cleaner eating. On top of that, I believe they utilize a lot of locally sourced ingredients and rely heavily on healthier style menu items, compared to the average coney island around town. Steady Eddy's newest incarnation is tucked away in quiet little corner of the Flint Farmer's Market. Open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays only. The only drawback is their limited hours of operation. I wish they had longer business hours, but they operate within the framework of the farmer's market and only stay open til mid afternoon, so you just have to catch them when they're open. read more

We went to steady Eddy on a Sunday for a small family birthday celebration. We arrived around 12pm. We had six adults and three children in our party, and they were very accommodating at getting us all seated quickly. We sat outside it was wonderful, we enjoyed listening to the music playing from the band. The service was excellent, we received our food fast and everybody loved their dish. The food was fresh, and delicious. The portions were plentiful. You won't be disappointed if you go. We will definitely be back!!! read more

So I'm an out of towner who was looking for a local coffee shop to unwind and have a cup of Joe and muffin or something... I found this cute little spot on Yelp and thought, hey lets do it! It was super cute walking in. I was greeted immediately and got me a cup of coffee. Nothing spectacular about the coffee, but it wasn't an actual coffee shop, more of a breakfast at mom's shop... so to my delight, they had an extensive menu, lots to choose from. And even though I showed up at 11pm on a Tuesday, I was still able to get a full breakfast. The special was steak and eggs. Nicely done guys, nicely done! Eggs were cooked just right. Stopped here with friends this afternoon. It was clean & comfortable. Two important things. Our food was brought quickly but then we were after the lunch run. I had a cup of "spicy sausage soup". I was very happy that it was really hot. I don't like middle warm food. Then I tried the "falafel sliders". My friends were surprised but I like Mid-Eastern fare. The hummus was a perfect topping even though I would have shot a squirt of mustard if I saw it out on a table. We were all pleased with our meals. There were no leftovers. If you are at the Flint Farmers Market stop in for a good meal. Check the times and the dates not open everyday. Very seasonal. read more

I had lunch brunch here with a colleague. I ordered the tuna melt with home fries and she had two scrambled eggs with sausage, home fries and toast. We both had hot chocolate. The service was very fast. Our food was out in less than 10 minutes. We both of us agree that the hot chocolate was delicious. My tuna melt was good. Great place to get vegan food. I had the tofu scramble with sourdough bread. My meat eater hubby had the denver omelette with pototoes he said it was very good and filling. We did have about a 10 mintue wait but it's located in Flint Farmer's Market so we were able to look around while we waited for our table. It's not a very big restaurant but you can order food to go and sit at tables located in seating area inside market. Okay. If you live in Flint and have not eaten breakfast here - it's the best in town, and here's why. Their ingredients are awesome, their staff is cool, and they have the South of the Border omelette, which is the finest omelette I've ever eaten (sorry mom, but it's true). Their lunch is awesome too - I recommend the club with avocado added. Here's how you order the South of the Border - vegetarian chili (there's cheese in it -you won't miss meat when you eat it), and definitely definitely get the salsa for it. One of my favorite places in Flint! The staff is awesome and the food is always fresh, the portions sizable, and the specials really creative. It's often very busy on Saturday, but be sure to check for a seat at the bar if it's just you or you and a friend. Their coffee is great and always served in a fun surprise mug. They have specialty lattes (try the S'mores Latte!) and tons of flavor syrups so they could whip up something custom or even make you an Italian soda. Their homemade lemonade is amazing as well, especially in the watermelon and blueberry flavors. Breakfast is served all day, and it's often difficult to choose between breakfast or lunch specials. The soups are awesome. My favorite sandwich is The Sean, which is like a BLT on toasted bread but with fried egg and avocado. It's great with a little bit of the Uncle Bob's sauce that you can find on most of the tables. Please try the Uncle Bob's sauce on your chips too, it's delicious! The atmosphere is just great. The owners have truly invested into making it a comfortable and cozy, yet funky and unique place. They have a patio that faces the front of the Farmers' Market, and in the late summer gigantic yellow sunflowers surround the outdoor diners. There is often live music near the patio on summer Saturdays as well. I have never seen a restaurant staff hustle so hard. They make sure that every guest is taken care of. You will never go hungry and your glass will never be empty at Steady Eddy's. read more
