I lived in Flint for about a year and there were a few staples I miss all the freaking time. I dream of the chocolate moon rock as it is like an amazing fritter texture, but had cherries throughout. Went in and there was one guy servicing a lady in front of us. When it got to our turn he turned his back and then the phone rang and answered and took an order (long one) then when he asked for the person's credit card number we left. Rude. Made a special stop on the way back from up north. Had not been there since covid. I was vey disappointed. They have obviously changed the recipes, down graded the quality. Donuts too doughy and dry.. I always loved the apple fritters, crispy and well..just right amount of grease. Texture was dry and tasteless.. The staff was rude. the donuts were cold, tasted like they'd been left out all night, WAY too much sugar, too much yeast, the workers were kinda rude and not super clean or professional. parking was .. something, donut availability was terrible, the donuts were generally overfilled, and call me childish or picky but the icing on the donuts is flavored. i got a mint donut and it tasted like toothpaste. literal Walmart donuts are better lol. read more

I'm hoping I can give more stars later, but with consistent wait times of 30+ minutes regardless of the day of the week, I cannot. You can call ahead but you have to be clairvoyant as the flavors rotate and the website is inadequate. Although I have been stopping here for years,today was a disappointment. The ambience is gone, we used to come here have coffee and donuts sit around and talk. It was a warm and pleasant place then. Now they are all computerized with younger people with limited social skills and the rates are up and they ask for a tip?!!. I miss the old donut shop. When did a donut become almost $2.00. Lastnight 6/3/24 the woman working the donut counter was definitely wiping her nose with the palm of her hand, & never left the front to go wash them. This is the 2nd time this woman has been unsanitary and it make me wanna walk out on my donut orders. I have been coming for decades and the moonrock in particular have gone down in quality they used to have this nice crunch on each piece as you pulled it apart - the last three times i have been there they have been stale - like they are day-old donuts. The only thing preventing me from rating 1 star is how excellent Donna's used to be. I have fond memories of my family driving to Cedar Point early in the morning, fueled only by a baker's dozen and some coffee. I don't think I have ever had bad Donna's throughout my childhood. Even if I might have, at least the price was still good. But it seems anymore that the quality is less than ideal, usually dry or sort of old tasting. And if they were still reasonably priced, I could look past that. I remember when the baker's dozen cost less than $13, but now it is over $20. You would think if the price is going up, there would be a proportionate increase in quality, or that the quality would remain good. Why are cost and quality moving in two different directions? The interior is more modern-looking and it looks like you have more merch, but the donuts are expensive and awful. read more

Found a hair in my red velvet donut, then on my second visit, I waited in line for 10 15 minutes, then when she was done with the customer before me, she didn't even acknowledge I was there then turned and took a huge order over the phone, not caring one bit about the line building. Things have changed in the last few months. The quality of the baked goods has diminished. The moon rocks have a different taste and are not as thick and heavy as before. The cream sticks seem to be made from some type of prebaked cake and are very light in texture. Will not be going back to spend $24 for a baker's dozen. read more

Donuts seem different then they use to be a few years ago but still good. But the line system they have in place needs to be different get a number machine and bring some tables and chairs back to sit and wait at till your number is called. Also when ppl bring kids with them and the kid is a hellion, tell the parent to control them.
