Absolutely a hidden gem in downtown Davison!! We have had pastries from Frankenmuth to Florida and I can say with all honesty, I had the absolute best Raspberry fritter ever!! My wife had a Cream Stick that was amazing. We topped off our purchase with a cherry coffee cake. These folks are some of the friendliest around and the prices are more than fair. We live so close now, I'm sure I'll gain a few pounds!! read more

I love donuts - I know donut shops the way some people know classy restaurants. This is a shop worth your time. If you're expecting trendy donuts with bacon and cereal on them, you're not going to get them here, but you will get a tasty workhorse that goes perfectly with a cup of the overly strong coffee that I enjoy. These are donuts that are made with the kind of love you'll only get in a locally owned business. I went late- about 9 pm - and the selection was various and the donut I got was fresh. I haven't tackled the adorable Santa cupcake I got, because I'm saving it for later. To top off a lovely donut experience, the gentleman working behind the counter was friendly and engaging. Everyone is always friendly and accommodating any time I need a cake they have come through for me. even if its just 3 day notice, we love their butter cream frosting, the prices are unbeatable and the cake & donuts are fresh and delicious i rarely go any where else. the place is small it gets busy in the morning but thats how you can tell how fresh & delicious their bakery goods are, highly recommend Davison home bakery. yummy. read more

One of the best businesses in Davison. Unfortunately, a young woman works here who is not nice. She gave me the wrong donut and when I came back to tell her a few minutes later, she rolled her eyes and looked mad, instead of just correcting the mistake. I was willing to pay for a new one and did not want to cause drama or stress for the employees. Not sure why I was treated with disgust. Disappointed and makes me think twice before coming back. read more

I had 2 doughnuts; both were not fresh. You can get better doughnuts at a supermarket than this place. I had a plain glazed doughnut which was doughy and undercooked, terrible. Then I had an apple filled one which had very little filling and the filling tasted as if it were going bad. Almost like the filling was starting to ferment, also terrible. I have never been disappointed in the quality of baked goods from Davison Home Bakery. As a life long Davison resident, I have been going there for a long time. This past Saturday when I stopped in to buy 3 dozen donuts as a thank you to hospital staff for taking care of my mom, I was told I could only purchase 2 dozen if I hadn't preordered. The cashier told me if she allowed me to buy 3 dozen she would be wiped out by closing time. That was and is the most stupid business policy I have ever heard of. With plenty of donuts to sell, what's the problem if you are out by 6:00 PM - you're still selling doughnuts - isn't that the point? Who cares what time it happens? I hope they had a bunch of donuts left at 6:01PM. I will always remember how ridiculous that policy is and next time I will go to Donna's in Flint or the bakery in Lapeer. read more

I had recently shopped there. I recently bought two chocolate chip cookies from Davison Baker. The cookies were freshly baked and decent, but I prefer a crisper cookie, and these were too soft. It had enough chocolate chips. If you prefer a crisper cookie, the Davison Bakery is for you. read more

I was shocked to see even 1 poor rating for this bakery! There has NEVER been a frozen or NOT HOMEMADE item on the shelf here, and I've been a customer for over 40 years. This bakery has been here for generations and it's current owner has stayed true to the original recipe. Their bakery products were in the top running in the state for quality. I do remember the unpleasant young woman who was there a short time but that certainly didn't dissuade me from enjoying their delicious donuts, breads, Hello Dollies, muffins and anything else I tried. Their dough recipe used with the filled and specialty donuts has a unique, fabulous flavor that just can't be found anywhere else. The jelly filled have the REAL thing inside, and lots of it. Their flagship - the cream filled bismark is to die for. Since I, and many others, can't have these often - when I HAVE to have one I willingly drive miles to get here. If I can't get to Davison Home Bakery there is no point in stopping anywhere else. read more
