Don't get me wrong-I love Brighton Market. Their chicken and pizza are something to rave about. However, today I got something that was a very big miss for this store. I got a lamb gyro, which was, well, it got fed to the dog. Pluses, the naan bread was really good and moist-even though it had been under a warmer. The meat, was tough as leather and lacked flavor. It had mayyyybe 3 pieces of onion on it and the sauce/you would think they were rationing out a teaspoon between 20 sandwiches. It was nonexistent. Again, like this place, but don't spend your 10 bucks on this sandwich. read more

Customer service sucks people behind the counter are very rude especially the younger guy or the woman that work here

My review is regarding service. Love the store, the varietal offerings, and "market" feel. However.....I don't live in Brighton but am in the area quite often. I've stopped in this place 4-5 times now since the new building went up. The counter employees are terrible at Customer Service. I've gotten no greeting, eye contact, friendly or helpful demeanor, or even ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that I'm standing waiting to be cashed out. (especially by a taller/larger, darker haired, Middle Eastern looking man who's been rude more than once now. He may be owner or Mgmt.) I was ignored by multiple people behind the counter. (the BIG guy mentioned above too) The young man who waited on me yesterday didn't say hello as I walked up to counter but continued his conversation with the previous customer while he scanned my items and then didn't even tell me my total. I had to abruptly ask, interrupting his conversation, "what do I owe you?" Even had to ask for a bag for my purchase. Awful feeling to leave a place of business this way. CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS!!! The only exception I've experienced.....AUTUMN! She is friendly, conversive, greets, smiles, and is excellent at the counter. Every other person, mostly guys, have been awful. I've tried to give this place multiple chances over time by giving people the benefit of the doubt but the same pattern repeats. Hey big guy.....put a smile on your face and acquire a friendly attitude or get Autumn to show you and your other counter help the way. She is excellent!!! Probably won't be stopping in again anytime soon. Bit disgusted at this point. I am in Highland, MI......not Utica!! read more

Miss this place always got along with staff cool People for sure an food was always good read more

Well I tried again and this time for the last time. I was unhappy after my last order but even more so after this order. It's really too bad because their food is good but their customer service is bad. I ordered a chicken meal to be delivered at 12:30 and when the driver got there to pick it up, they hadn't even started it yet. But the chicken dinner for eight pieces comes with eight pieces of chicken 1 pound of coleslaw 1 pound of potatoes and two rolls why would you have eight pieces of chicken with only two rolls? Coleslaw was horrible and the biscuits were hard. I'm done. read more

A hidden gem. So convenient for us, since we visit our parents in Randall Residence regularly. Their prepared foods are excellent. The local blueberrys are fresh. And the service is attentive without being overbearing. One wish ... please go back to the original quinoa salad WITHOUT the cilantro and spicy peppers. read more

Been going here for years. Proud of their growth & it's easy to see why. They love what they do & love to serve. Great homemade food, fresh options, huge selection of adult bevs & treats. Go support this local biz! read more

Wow, I totally did NOT expect this when I walked into this dingy-looking party store! It almost feels offensive to call it a party store. There is a full aisle of prepared foods! We're talking pizza, salads, sandwiches, and a lot more. I will definitely be back! read more

Salad (chicken Greek) was fantastic. 1# was probably enough for 2 people. Fried items were generic. Delivery was great. Pizza was average, pizza roll was average/different. The only negative were the buttermilk biscuits with honey...there wasn't any honey ant the biscuits smelled like "dirty feet". It seemed like there was a substitution made ... awful. read more

I've been coming here for many years and I have to say I will not be back. I was treated poorly by the staff in the kitchen that are obviously not happy with their job. Just because there was a large order for catering doesn't mean the counter customers deserve to be treated aggressively. When I complained to one of the owners all I received was some shrugged shoulders and a "yeah you shouldn't be treated like that" type brush off. I know I'm only one bottom of the barrel customer.......But I have a lot of friends in the Livingston county area.....NEVER get too big for your britches. Peace out read more

This is such a shady looking market with hot food and an amazing selection of beer! So much beer that I was overwhelmed by the choices! I have to get this part out of the way. I was looking in a beer cooler and as I went further down, there was a cooler in the store, accessible to everyone, with raw, uncovered meats. Ew. I will never buy prepared food from there. That seems like it should be against health code. Let's look at the good stuff. If you're looking for a specific beer, this is the place. I came in looking for a Polish beer called Zywiec. It's one of my favorites and they had it! They also had a couple of other Polish beers to try. In addition to the beer selection, it's a great place to grab something you maybe forgot at the grocery store. Just be careful of the hot food! read more

amazing service! I have a bad stomach issue and the owner walked me through the whole store untill we found a beer that suited me! greatly appreciate him! read more

Best market in Brighton! The owner is so sweet & friendly!!! They carry every sort of booze you're looking for! Their fresh food is delicious!! Highly recommended to go here if your in Brighton area! read more

Never would've thought to stop in here from the curb appeal.. Pleasantly surprised at this awesome smoked turkey and swiss on multigrain! Loved it! And would've paid double at panera for something half as good! read more

the employees obviously didn't like working there as they nit picked at me for looking around and talking with Mt freinds the entire time... the other worker was also a little strange and he wouldn't stop talking to me but I guess it's alright I wasn't in a rush. read more

The fried chicken was great, moist and crunchy. The potato fries were not as crispy as they could have been. The liquor selection was extensive. They workers were friendly and helpful!! read more

Great broasted chicken, the sandwiches are very tasty, huge beer and booze selections

We love the pizza at Brighton Market. It never disappoints and we really like the new digs.

We were recommended to this place by a DNR officer and did not disappoint. The whole staff was really nice there, super helpful with our order. I wish I took pictures of our meal but we ate it too fast, it was quite tasty though. Will be back again. #supportsmallbusiness read more

From the outside, it looks like nothing more than box with yellow awnings. Inside, there's a great selection of beer, wine, and food to go. I picked up a couple Founders "Lizard of Koz." Therese H. couldn't find a gluten-free beer she likes, so they ordered a twelve pack, just for her. Great service! read more

Best to-go food and fried chicken! Doesn't look like much from the exterior. Hot foods include sandwiches, fried chicken, pizza by the slice, and many more options. Great side dish items like a variety of salads, Mac-n-cheese, and coleslaw. I believe I even saw hot, garlic rolls from our Gus's takeout in the area. Plus, you can pick up lottery tickets too! Friendly and competent staff. read more

The new owners/managers have really turned this store around. The food coming out of the kitchen all looks and smells great, it's clean, and smells good! There has been a strong effort to turn this store around, and it's paid off. They maintain state minimum liquor prices with a HUGE selection, and they'll even special-order for you. Everybody working there is helpful and nice, and they'll go out of their way to assist you. Give this store a try, they're really contributing positive things to the community. read more

Always have a great selection of what I'm looking for, and if they don't have exactly what you want, they will get it! Living nearby, I probably come here at least 2 or more times a week, the staff is ALWAYS extremely friendly and are pros at customer service! They always have something that looks great in the hot/fresh food section, and have an outstanding variety of beer, wine, and liquor. Great market! read more

Under $2 for a slice of greasy pizza, same for a soda - can't ask for too much more! The pizza is pretty good, too! Great beer selection and they have basically a small grocery store kinda thing goin on read more

They have a fantastic deli, unbelievable beer selection (including some incredibly rare and delicious seasonal beers, as well as a great Michigan beer selection), delightful and robust wine selection, and an unreal liquor selection-complete with a brilliant scotch collection! The staff here is super knowledgeable and beyond kind! read more

I love to try new beers so based on the other reviews I decided to give this place I try. My first impression walking in was bad. The place is a mess. Overcrowded shelves, narrow aisles and boxes all over the floor. It also smelled like a grease trap and most, if not all, of the bottles had a film of grease on them. It just permeates the air. Yes, an impressive selection of beers but I don't think they move enough inventory because several of the bottles I checked were already beyond the " best by" date. So I decided to pass on trying to purchase anything. I wasn't in there for the food but not sure I'd want to try considering the overall cleanliness and thick greasy air. read more

You will be so surprised if you go in. This isn't the old run down IGA of years past where we could buy beer in high school. No this is a whole new place with a incredible working mans deli. The beer and drink selection is also amazing read more

Love Brighton Market, not only do they deliver everything from food to beer they also, have a huge variety of specialty pizzas which are all amazing. read more

Excellent food! Great Pizza! Great Cheeseburger. All around great food. Check it out.

Fantastic selection on ALL fronts. Wine, beer, liquor, prepared food and anything else you need. Best service, super knowlagable.

Broasted Chicken, Pizza, deli sandwiches, ribs and the list goes on & on. The food is very good considering that this is a liquor store also. And the choices of liquor, wine & beer is great!! If you don't see what you want, just ask them to order it for you. Owners & staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Food is extremely good and meats are piled HIGH & reasonably priced. read more

We got delivery from here and the food was terrible. Ordered a steak sandwich and they put a couple strips of bacon on some bread and nothing else.. like they thought we wouldn't notice? Forgot some of the food and the rest was burnt. The lady on the phone did nothing about it when we told her, not even an apology. Would not recommend. read more

Unfortunately I can't write a review about it as it sits today. But if the moderator would be so kind I would like to share this. When I was 6 years old I lived in the little upstairs apartment attached to the back wall with my Grandmother Edith. The store was called, "The Busy Bee Market" back then. Today the stairs to the upper apartment, (if it is still there), are covered. Not when I was a child. We braved them snow and all and they were straight down, not turned. I decided to write this because this has a long history of serving the area. There was a roadside pizza shack out front that was closed in the winter and nearby there was a roller rink. My Dad lost a few cars in Briggs Lake in the Winter as did others back in the 50's and early 60's. I used to go downstairs to watch the delivery truck unload boxes of food at the back of the store. They set out skate conveyors and the boxes wizzed by as the entered the back door of the store. It was a real treat for a young boy to watch. I miss those days and the atmosphere there. I would love to walk into that store today or walk around back of the building to see where I used to play and tobaggan down the old road twoards the lake. Mario Van Cleave, Hollister, CA read more

What a great place. Just had some of there salmon patty's and rice and it was amazing!! Love the place...always friendly and they carry just about everything. read more

The "croutons" in their salad are just bread. Not crunchy or seasoned at all. I had a Caesar salad and it came with mozzarella cheese instead of parmesan. What miniscule lettuce that was in the salad was quite oxidized and wilted. The pizza is a redeeming factor. The staff is friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. read more

Great tasting food, wonderful people. Would have been 5 stars but their prices have really climbed. Lunch/Dinner - $10-$12 average.

Went here to get money retrieved from Western Union. Big Mistake! Instead of giving me my money, they gave me a money order. So, in order to get my money they charged me $5 to cash the money order. He put on an act and said "oh, you want to cash it here..."? "Oh, well that will be $5 then"... I am so angry that while I am here wasting more of my time, let me tell you what I truly think of this store... I have only been here a few times and there a reason for that. A few years ago, I came in to see what they had to offer. I found expired meat and not so fresh vegetables and overpriced! Dirty and dusty and the front doors are dirty, finger prints and smudges all over the doors even to this day... Went a second time a year ago and same place, just dirty and overpriced. I didn't noticed if meat was fresh, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt on that note. I have lived in Brighton for almost 30 years. It is an upscale community. Get on the ball! Check out your competition which is within a mile. I will go back to Meijer or other stores to do my Western Union from now on. Your store is closest to my home, but will drive the extra mile... read more
