I have been here twice now. It is always busy, but that doesn't negate from the quick service you get. The wait staff is always very friendly. I have had the french dip and a chicken cordon bleu sandwich, both of them were awesome and quickly devoured. My only complaint and drop of a star is the volume. It is super loud in there all the time. Tried having a business meeting on one visit and it was difficult to hear. read more

This is a great local spot. Great bartenders and servers! Love Jess, she is the best. The pizza is super good and so are their tater tots! They do a bloody mary bar on Sundays which I've yet to try out. The place is clean. Kind of small. It gets packed on Wednesdays when there is music bingo. They have other entertainment and events through out the year which is cool. They keep good beers on rotation. They have the usual but also throw in Modelo, Cherry Wheat, or some local drafts. They often have deals in tall boys! The customers there are friendly too. It's a place you can go to where grab a seat at the bar and make new friends! read more

A cool little roadhouse, a relic from when this area was "the country" and not the exurbs. It is, as the name says, cozy--not much elbow room beween tables. Still, the laid-back vibe and friendly service makes it a good spot to chill. I went in for lunch on a weekday and it was nearly full. I found a seat at the bar (where the stools were oddly low for some reason) and ordered a Bell's Two Hearted and a hot chicken sandwich. I don't think that sandwich was the star of the menu. The breading on the chicken was a bit mushy and the "Nashville hot sauce" reminded me more of sweet barbeque sauce. I left thinking "should have ordered the burger." The ambience makes it likely I'll return and do so. read more

This is not a big place: not much parking on the side but big lot in the back. Very few ground-level seats: mostly those high tables.... So if you are short or plan to drink too much come at an off time. Very bar/like which is not shocking since this is a bar. At least seven big flatscreens showing sports, and country western blast in' away. Dress code is redneck business casual: clean jeans (not ripped), carthart, ball caps worn facing the correct direction, hoodies with your construction company logo. Both Spartan and Wolverine fans welcome. Can't tell if it's mayo or miracle whip because the burger is so Taft and cooked to order. Service is attentive and sweet: amazing when you consider I am the only female customer here at the moment, am taking up a table alone, and did not order booze. read more

Definitely a place to go If you want a great spread for a bloody Mary bar. Seating is close and personal, atmosphere is clean, staff is friendly, food is delicious, drinks are cold. Moderate pricing, a lot of food, and fellowship. Does a local bar where people know you and you come to watch the game and sit back with friends. Love the new upgrade to the building and bathroom. The best burger I've had in s long time. Solid onion rings and huge, really good calzones. Wow! Super crowded and loud like a college bar. Hoping when the owners get some money they: 1. Expand 2. Pave the parking lot 3. Add outdoor seating 4. Have a drink menu The staff hustles, the food comes out piping hot and the choices are what you'd expect at a sports bar, but done really well! If they had a drink menu, they'd do better. My onion rings were good but the coating was too thick for my tastes. The double burger came with a condiment flight and condiment bucket on the table. It was cooked perfectly, so juicy and tender. The bun was fresh and brioche. I wish I had a thicker cut of tomato and a bit more shredded lettuce but now I'm just being picky. I scarfed that delicious yumminess right up and now I'm nursing a food baby, but so worth it. What a pleasure to find this place! Super great, super noisy, super typical bar. Great service and great food. The burgers are still top notch, but I worry people are finding out about this great, little place. It's always packed! Had an overnight stay while traveling through Michigan and decided to pop into Cozy Inn for dinner. It's your expected small town sports bar - nothing huge, cozy cabin feel, full bar, local drafts, and a variety of food. I did appreciate they had the normal greasy options but also sprinkled in a few healthier choices as well. We were able to get seated fairly quickly on a busy Saturday night, enjoyed dinner, and watch a few of the games on TV. Appreciated having a close spot to grab a bite to eat during our travels. read more

I've lived in the area for 7-8 years and have just discovered the Cozy Inn... I wish I had found it sooner!!! The is really a cool and relaxed spot. Specials everyday of the week (and I love a good special!) with good food and generous pours of the booze make this a worthy destination. Grabbed a Groupon for a burger deal and never looked back. The burgers are there main attraction, a delicious classic, old school No frills burger that tastes great. But after you've conquered that, you need to check out the rest of the menu. The wings are some of the best in the Brighton area, don't let anyone tell you differently. I recommend grabbing special priced hot bbq wings in a Tuesday, you won't be disappointed. I've had been hearing rave reviews about this place for a while, so I was excited to give it a try. As soon as I pulled in the parking lot, it reminded me of a place my Dad used to take me to when I was little. I was pleasantly surprised by the aesthetic inside. It has a very modern vibe. The service was great. I would classify it as typical bar food, but bar food that actually tastes good! They have an AMAZING happy hour. The drinks are good. Even though it's a bar, I would say it is very family friendly. If you are looking for great food, good happy hour with great service, give them a try. We stopped in upon a recommendation from another person who likes neighborhood bars. We ordered a calzone that was missing the meat. No problem. Our server had our corrected order out within minutes. It was excellent. They gave us the vegetarian mistake to go home with as well. As good as the calzone was, our friend said their burger was the best around. Next time. Anyway, good food, predictable older neighborhood bar - perfect, prices on par with the area, and an excellent server. Giving 4 stars because 3.5 is not an option. We will be back. read more

Read the reviews of the Cozy. Wife and I decided what the heck let's give it a try. The food was very good. Monday special of Cozy Burgers. Drinks were prepared well. However, if you're thinking of bringing kids be careful. The Bar gets 5 or 6 F.O.G.'s, most likely regulars, sitting around trying to out shout each other while dropping F-Bombs and MF'ers repeatedly. Behind them were two Dads with 4 children listening intently. Staff didn't appear to care much. Call the Cozy an upscale Dive Bar compared to its history where we will probably return. How was I so lucky to stumble onto this place? I actually know the answer to the question, his name is dad. He blew my mind when he brought me to the Cozy Inn. He touted great burgers, amazingly good (and inexpensive) corned beef sliders and good beer. He wasn't kidding. Right off the bat though, service was fantastic! Ellie was our server and was spot on during our visit from knowing the beer list to checking back on us just the right amount without being a bother. The two corned beef sliders we had were like $4. That's amazing in it's own rite. But the sliders were the best corned beef sliders I've had. That was a surprise. Coming from Ferndale, the land of overpriced mediocre sliders, this was Valhalla. The burger came cooked to order (to perfection I might add), with LT&O on a brioche bun, with cheese, if you're into that kind of thing. The fries were super crispy outside and fluffy inside, likely off a truck, but a good quality fry. The onion rings were crispy with a cornmeal batter and they're large. Think Big Boy's style but not the chincy thin kind of ring. They also deliver a flight of condiments to tuneup your sandwich with...ground horseradish, jalapeno, banana peppers, mayo and one or two other additions. Great prices, fantastic friendly service and really really well made food is in my new backyard. Heck yeah! I almost forgot, they make a pretty great Chicago dog too. A little heavy on the lettuce and no sporty peppers but a really great dog complete with a poppy bun. read more

This place was cute but wasn't somewhere I need to return to. We went the night before Thanksgiving because of their advertised specials. I liked that they had fire pits set up out back, but we decided to sit at the bar. They were doing $2 tacos, but it turned out their kitchen closed at 9:20 and we got there at 9:30. This was understandable, but kind of a bummer that that detail wasn't in their ad since we easily could have gotten there like 20 minutes earlier. I got a $4 margarita, which was straight up terrible. I have literally never had a margarita that actually tasted bad before. I wish I could tell what was wrong with it. My boyfriend paid full price for his drinks, but said they tasted ok but watered down. read more

I think the food it is overpriced for what you get. I wasn't impressed. I doubt I will return because personally I expect more for my money. I can't afford to eat there. My cozy burger was wimpy, very disappointed. Didn't ask how we wanted our burgers cooked and it came over cooked, well done, two tiny slices of tomato and one very small piece of lettuce and 2 rings of an onion..sad. A long time ago I visited the Original Cozy Bar. That was nearly 14 years ago. I'll be kind and say this old bar was in desperate need of an over haul and some tender loving care to bring it back alive. Well the new owners have done just that and more. The New Cozy Bar is as it namesake says Cozy It is beautifully designed, clean and terrific local watering hole. I met a buddy there yesterday to catch a Bowl game and have a meeting. There wasn't a bad seat to watch the game with the many huge flat screen TVs. The drinks and apps were terrific and the cheesy bread was fantastic. Our waitress Tiffany was also very nice. One of my pet peeves is clean restrooms and the Cozy Bar exemplifies cleanliness in this area as well. So if your looking for a nice local bar to hang with a buddy, friends or your family , have a bite and watch a sporting event well stop on by this place and enjoy a nice accommodating Cozy Bar. This is a classic popular dive bar. Its going to be very busy on Friday nights and various sporting events. They know what they do and they do it well. And there certainly a group of regulars, the wait staff have become extended family. Its a small place - burgers and brews. It does have a full bar, but you coming for the burgers and brews. The interior is a rustic place, lots of tables but they do have seats at the bar too. The draft list in 12-15, but they have double that in bottles and cans. That have as many burger options as draft beers, from singles, doubles and triples, to specialty burgers. They have an interesting approach to some of the condiments - a tray from pickles to peppers to mayo. When its busy, its tough for the wait staff to keep up - so either be vocal or wait. This has become my favorite place for beer and burgers. Their burger is delicious and comes with all the sides! They have a good pizza too, but I'd recommend the round over the deep dish. The staff is great there. They are on it with orders even when it's busy. The restaurant is completely renovated and looks great inside. It's definitely a men's bar after work though. Wow! This place has definitely changed since my first review of this place. It is under new ownership and everything inside has been completely redone to a clean modern rustic industrial feel. Though the draft beers here are limited in selection, they at least have my favorite go-to craft - Short's Two Hearted. They also serve liquor/cocktails if that's more of your preference. The food here is really good. The $5 burgers are flavorful and juicy on a toasted brioche bun and comes out with a small wooden paddle of condiments like mustard, pickles, onions, mayo, horseradish etc. to customize your toppings. Fries are $2 extra...nothing to special about these. We've also tried the corned beef sliders and these are surprisingly really delicious even if on the smaller side even for a slider. They're like mini Reubens and are $2/slider. They come with corned beef, sauerkraut and swiss cheese on a brioche bun. I ask for thousand island dressing as these don't come on it. Their fried chicken tenders are also very good. The waitress specifically told us that these are made and fried to order as you can taste the freshness and nice flavor of the chicken. My DH has tried their calzones and they are actually really good as well. I haven't tried it, but he seemed to enjoy it. The service here is always friendly and helpful. The place is small and never really packed when we've been (though we've only gone later in the night...9pmish). They have several tv's usually playing whatever sport is in season. read more
