    Large nachos

I mean...just look at the size of those nachos and you already know I'm giving 5 stars. I come to The Pound fairly often and am surprised I haven't left a review before. We went in tonight and were pleasantly surprised to find a table on the rooftop patio. Within minutes it started sprinkling. Our waitress immediately offered to let us move to a table with an umbrella. Nachos come out. It starts pouring. Our waitress immediately asks if we want to move and/or cash out. So appreciate how friendly, attentive, and flexible she was. I wish I'd gotten her name. We ended up cashing out and heading inside. Nachos weren't just big but excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to find they will do NA frozen drinks. I already knew they have a great NA beer (segars something or other) and of course lots of specials on "regular" drinks. Was not surprised the service was great. It always is! Go check out The Pound for a fun atmosphere, great food and service, and be sure to check out their trivia days/times, too.

My favorite place to watch a game! Tons of TVs with great game sound and the staff and regulars are super friendly. They use beef tallow in their fryers, and the hand battered chicken tenders are so good. Also really family friendly! They have a good kids menu and my kids love the duck claw machine.

Adios Beach cocktail. Taste better than it looks. No really!

The Pound is your typical Bar and grill with a fairly nice set up for viewing sporting events with numerous TV's scattered through the facility offering a good view of the game from almost any point on the floor. Additionally they have a large roof top dining/drinking area and another outside dining/drinking area adjacent to the lower level restaurant. The menu is your typical sports bar menu consisting of assorted burgers, sandwiches, wraps, fries, pizza ....etc. Relative to the liquor they have a decent selection of beers and a nice cocktail menu to complement the alcohol selection. For our meal we had the chicken tenders and Rosemary fries. The Tenders were a bit overcooked with OK taste where the rosemary fries were quite tasty and were the highlight of the meal. The cocktails we had were reasonably priced where they ranged in taste from good to so so depending on the cocktail ordered. Lastly the service was friendly and prompt but could use some improvement on the follow up once the food had been delivered. Overall the food was OK where it didn't really stand out as anything special where the strengths of this establishment are its outside/rooftop dining options and their setup for watching sports. If watching the big game or having a relaxed outdoor dining experience are your top priorities than I would say this restaurant would be an excellent choice for you.

Why does the bill stay the credit card total after paying in cash? It's a weird practice and results in the negative review

Service great! Fun sports bar vibe, big menu too! I ordered the small nacho special they have on Tuesdays, the meat however was more questionable than Taco Bell's. I'll be back for drinks, trivia or the amazingly fun rooftop but not the food.

Basic bar food with a really nice rooftop area and lots of TVs to watch the game. They have a reasonably decent selection of tap beers to complement the nice sports pub ambiance (I don't recommend the mediocre cocktails). That alone is enough to make your visit enjoyable. It's a nice place to socialize. Food is subpar (although my rosemary fries were decent), but it is ok after a couple of beers. Service is slow, but pleasant. I will likely return.

Our waitress was attentive, had everyone's drink order taken as soon as we all trickled in. I ordered the Southwest chopped chicken salad; and added jalapenos. My only constructive criticism for the salad was to actually chop it. It was more of a seared breast that was sliced into strips, it wasn't chopped. With that said, the salad was delicious. The lettuce was fresh, the jalapeno ranch was tasty. I had no complaints putting the whole thing away for lunch. Our waitress did a great job caring for all 8 of us, while we came in at varied times, had several modifications to dishes, and some had to leave early... Great experience.

It seems like they would benefit from an "order to table" type system so they don't have to keep coming outside to check (not that it bothers me at all, just felt bad having them need to do it). Beer list is big and expansive and also very straightforward. I appreciated the thorough tasting notes. They do also have food (small bites mainly like cheese and charcuterie) but they're super chill about you bringing stuff in which is nice. We picked up Gus's right down the street. I loved the beer and the service was excellent. They're super helpful and kind people. The space is beautiful too. I wasn't surprised to see that they do weddings. Their German-style beers are unique and thoughtfully crafted, offering something different from the typical brewery lineup. You can tell they put a lot of care into brewing historic and traditional beer styles. My only wish is that they offered a few more non-alcoholic beverage options and some food. Having those available would make it easier to stay longer and accommodate a wider variety of guests. Even so, it's a great spot for beer lovers looking for a distinctive brewery experience.

Was looking for an authentic style Mexican street taco and I definitely found that here with my two tacos, an Asada (steak) and an El Pastor (marinated Pork) which were well-made with lots of meat and plenty of cilantro and onions. The Al Pastor, which was my favorite, had a little bit of a kick to it, but not too spicy, and definitely was quite flavorful. It had pineapples in it, where the sweetness was there, but not as much as I would have liked/expected. The Asada had less spices where it warranted some salsa and added salt to get the flavor profile up to where I wanted it. But overall was quite pleased with both offerings. Besides the tacos, I was served gratis chips and salsa that was quite good as well where the chips were fresh and the salsa well made and tasty. The house margarita which appeared to be a batch job based on how quickly it was served to me, was sort of just so so. The sour mix used in the margarita was the overriding flavor component where the tequila, which I believe was on the light side, was not very noticeable with no notes of agave to speak of. Overall, the drink was OK but came across as a tad too sweet and again lacking the agave notes and the punch I look for in a good margarita. To be fair, there is an upgraded margarita on the menu, which may very well have been more to my liking, but in this instance I opted to go with the house Margarita to save a little money. Relative to staff and facility, the restaurant itself has a lot of ambiance to offer with colorful Mexican decor and a central visually appealing bar at the heart of the restaurant. Plenty of tables with both inside and outing dining area's which is definately a consideration on days with nice weather. The facility definitely adds a lot to the overall dining experience. Relative to staff they were very friendly with prompt service and nice follow up throughout the meal. Overall, I was fairly pleased with my first dining experience here and would definately consider coming here in the future, especially if the Mexican restaurants on Main Street are busy which is something to keep in mind during peak dining hours

Our party of 6 arrived about 130 pm. The outdoor seating area was open and bustling. The indoor space was less than half full and we had no wait to get a seat except that no one was at the hostess station. The bartender did greet us and another group relatively quickly but this was the only thing that was quick this visit. Without going into great detail, we were seated for about 10 minutes before a waitress came to the table. We ordered drinks and it took almost 20 minutes for them to start to arrive and 30 minutes to get all 6 drinks. It took over an hour to get food and the entire visit was almost 2 1/2 hours. Mind you this is an upscale bar not a multicourse fine dining establishment. We were told that they were understaffed due to people not showing up but from what I could see they had 2 servers and a bar tender for about 15 active tables. Our waitress, while nice, was inattentive, often leaving us with empty drinks. The food was as good as we have come to expect as were the drinks when we could get them. I will say the chicken tenders my son ordered were over cooked but still tasty. Normally, I would rate this location as 4 stars but not this trip. Again, I hope this was just an off day but service like this again will result in losing our business going forward.
