Let me start with that we have been to this location a number of times and normally have a good experience. I hope that yesterday was an anomoly but I feel needs to be addressed. Our party of 6 arrived about 130 pm. The outdoor seating area was open and bustling. The indoor space was less than half full and we had no wait to get a seat except that no one was at the hostess station. The bartender did greet us and another group relatively quickly but this was the only thing that was quick this visit. Without going into great detail, we were seated for about 10 minutes before a waitress came to the table. We ordered drinks and it took almost 20 minutes for them to start to arrive and 30 minutes to get all 6 drinks. It took over an hour to get food and the entire visit was almost 2 1/2 hours. Mind you this is an upscale bar not a multicourse fine dining establishment. We were told that they were understaffed due to people not showing up but from what I could see they had 2 servers and a bar tender for about 15 active tables. Our waitress, while nice, was inattentive, often leaving us with empty drinks. The food was as good as we have come to expect as were the drinks when we could get them. I will say the chicken tenders my son ordered were over cooked but still tasty. Normally, I would rate this location as 4 stars but not this trip. Again, I hope this was just an off day but service like this again will result in losing our business going forward. read more

There is parking in the back and out front. Ordered lots of starters: truffle fries, mushrooms, chicken tendies with sriracha BBQ and garlic Parmesan sauce, crispy cauliflower and garlic puffs. Meal items: Reuben, chick pea in beef stock soup, steak frites, langostino pasta. $161.12 The garlic puffs are okay, mostly fried dough balls, a bit too hard on the outside. Their meh. The cauliflower is okay, kind of bland with the hummus. The chicken tendies is okay with the sriracha BBQ. My piece was gristly for me. :( The truffle fries are good. The Maitake mushrooms are good. The soup was average, not so tasty to my FIL. The Rueben wasn't bad. Steak Frites are good, comes with fries. My FIL wasn't fond of the chimichurri though. He said the steak was perfectly cooked medium rare for him. The langostinos are good. The pasta itself was really overcooked and the lobster sauce isn't enough flavor, rather bland. Went on a Sunday for just appetizers and drinks on the patio. It was pretty hot and the fans they have really don't do much. Drinks are priced about average and they do offer a large variety of craft cocktails. Our server Conor was very "Laid Back" as we had to flag him down on many occasions to get water or to order drinks. We were excited they offer a Whitefish Dip as an appetizer. Unfortunately we were disappointed that its more of an artichoke dip as we didn't taste any whitefish. We also tried their meatballs which were very good but spicey. Again our server only brought out 1 order versus the 2 that we ordered. We were excited that the local Punk/Rock band Rickett was playing on the patio which was a bonus as they are a very popular local band and we thought there was only live music on Friday and Saturday. We've been to this spot a few times and had a great experience in the past -- in fact, about a month ago, we were excited to hear a new chef had come on board. The new menu looked promising and we were curious to see the direction things were heading. We tried to make a same-day reservation online, but the system wouldn't allow it. Still, we decided to drive up anyway. When we arrived, the dining room was empty and the patio had a small group seated. We mentioned the online reservation issue to the bartender and servers, and they explained that same-day reservations aren't available online. Unfortunately, that meant the group of 25 we were with -- our son's AAU basketball team visiting from Toledo and playing at Legacy in Brighton -- couldn't join us, since we couldn't confirm anything in advance. We went ahead and ordered a few items to try. The broccolini was excellent -- definitely the standout of the night. We also ordered the meatballs, which looked fantastic and came with a delicious sauce, but they were ice cold in the center. We sent them back and received a second round, which were only lukewarm. We ended up taking them home to reheat properly. My wife ordered the shrimp and enjoyed them. She originally considered the trout, but based on the server's description, she opted out. The shrimp had nice flavor overall. I ordered the steak medium-well, but it arrived more medium-rare and wasn't hot. We decided to take that home as well to cook it more. For a bill of over $115 plus tip, the experience didn't quite meet expectations. That said, we've had good visits before and we're big fans of the French dip here. The server was friendly, the host was welcoming, and the staff greeting us was honestly the highlight of the evening. It's a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and an impressive bar. We're hoping this was just an off night for the kitchen -- maybe the chef wasn't in. Whoever was cooking didn't seem to have a good handle on proper temperatures, which really impacted the meal. Our experience was of the patio bar area. I enjoyed an ice cold cider and an order of whitefish dip that came with crackers and toast for my husband and crudités for me. They have live entertainment and tables with wicker chairs and colorful umbrellas as well as ceiling fans. The servers and bartenders kept everything clean and everyone well watered on a very hot and humid evening. I appreciate that they support young, local musicians. read more

The service was so slow my husband went up to the check in hostess and asked if we had been assigned a waitress. 10 minutes later she showed up and took our drink orders and disappeared. 20 minutes later she brought us our drinks and we had to make her take our order. We both ordered the " we're clubbing now" it took a long while. The food was good, we each had a Long Island iced tea. It was mediocre. No real ambience. The tab was $70. This bar/restaurant is very trendy and they have a good selection of beer, wine, cocktails and even mocktails. They have some really interesting menu items that i would like to come back and try. The service was good, but they did miss a few things. We came for happy hour on Thursday from 4-6 and got 1.23 off of draft beer. I got a cider and they have started dying them green for st pattys day already. My fiancée ordered the filet medium rare and it came out well done. Other than that, the cut of meat was good. The asparagus had kind of a light vinegar/dill taste and was cooked really well. The potatoes were well mashed and a little cheesy. The fried onions had too much breading. The pear salad was good, but we did ask to add cheese and they forgot to add it. The pear was the consistency of chunky applesauce and it also had pralines, cucumbers, pickled onion, tomato and an orange Vinagrette. I wish they had mixed some spinach in with the Romain and added cheese but it was a tasty & sweet salad. We also got the crab stuffed mushrooms and found them to be a little fishy and have too much sauce/mayonnaise in them. read more

What is the hold this place has on everyone?! It the total package! Sports, atmosphere, great food, full bar, friendly staff, great beers on draft and location!! So much at Label (fka Stout) and no idea why the name changed but still the same awesome spot it was before. Full bar with great specials. The menu is extensive with amazing adventurous flavors. The execution is spot on! Crispy wings, hot food and this place is PACKED for the Lions game. This is a must for the atmosphere on any game day. The pizza is excellent! We went to label for lunch and it did not disappoint. The service from beginning to end was very nice and friendly. The food was really good. My husband had the meatball and he said " best meatball sandwich ever" and the fries were perfectly cooked. I had the whip it up salad and it was delicious, one of the best salads I have had in Michigan. If you are around Brighton Michigan definitely try this place out. read more

Came in for Sunday brunch where we had a mixed experience. The food was good where we had the 3 egg omelet and potatoes and Breakfast Burrito. The potatoes with cheese topping were especially tasty. On the flip side though, the service while very friendly was very slow with almost non existent follow-up. In particular I had to flag down the waitress several times to get a refill on my empty coffee cup which is a cardinal sin for me and an absolute deal breaker that she was not monitoring this and doing it without prompting. Relative to the service, there were plenty of servers but they were all milling around the bar counter socializing with each other instead of following up on their patrons. Very very frustrating where the issue is clearly on the restaurant management in not training and monitoring their wait staff properly. As this was the second dining experience for my son and he saw slow/inadequate service both times I have to believe this is an ongoing problem at this business. Based on the quality of food I can see myself giving these guys one chance in the future and hope for their sake that they get their service issues worked out before then. read more

If I could only rate this place on ambience, easily 5 stars. Cold drinks, great music, happy people...who wouldnt love it! But you are here because of the food review and I have to end the accolades. I ordered the Clubbin' which included chicken. But they were out of chicken. What? But I am flexible so switched to the Filet Tips with Risotto. Well, it underwhelmed and should be called Risotto with a hint of filet tips. And it was greasy. As someone trying to eat healthier there wasnt a lot I could eat on that plate, once I finished my four small pieces of filet. Hubby had the burger and he said it was ok. And service was good. What a disappointment. I had high hopes after reading reviews and was let down. The only thing that didn't let me down were my drinks. That Strawberry Splash was so freaking good!! Garlic Puffs are a great idea. Flash fried pizza dough covered in garlic butter and parm. Well they went extra light in the garlic butter. They were so heavy and bland. I wasn't super hungry so had French onion soup. I was under impressed. It wasn't very rich or savory. The cheese was super rubbery. Highly disappointed. Since I plan to go back I will have an entree. It wasn't amazing but it's newer so I'll wait a few months and give it another try. Speaking of newer. It seemed like all the servers were newer and untrained or could use more. Our server was sweet, she tried. She was so slow though. Some not her fault, like waiting forever for my drink. But like when it came from drink orders to food orders.... Just disappeared for a while. And there were plenty of staff. I constantly saw them hanging around and talking. Another thing that bothered me. The manager or owner was on the floor. I have some mixed feelings about the place. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and they were nice enough to sub vegetables. This dish was delicious! Better than anticipated and I would say I'm hard to please. My friend ordered the vegetarian bowl. It looked amazing on the menu and she stated it was delicious, but it was TINY! (Even for her, who doesn't eat much). My boyfriend ordered the gnocchi. He said the sauce was good but some of the chicken didn't seem to all be cooked at the same level and was questionably overcooked/undercooked (who knows). The server was very nice, however, our food took forever to come out. It also took us a long time to get water and be checked on again. We didn't notice at first as we were catching up, but it was so long that it became blatantly obvious. I'm sure they are getting their bearings as a newer establishment. Super cute restaurant with surprisingly very interesting food options! The loaded tots were amazing and the drinks were good. I enjoyed the dragon wrap, although the meat was a bit dry. Food was fantastic! My only issue was the volume of the music in the building. We came in on a Saturday night, and were sat in a table by the entrance (we came in through the rear entrance, better parking) and were greeted immediately and ordered drinks, our appetizers and our meals . We had to repeat our orders to the waitress because of the volume of the music playing. Overall, our visit was good and we enjoyed the food. My only complaint and concern was the volume of the music that we couldn't enjoy our company without having to raise our voices so loud, the entire restaurant would hear our conversation. I like the idea of live music or a DJ, it was cranked up to 11 and a 7 or 8 would have sufficed. read more

Went there with the wife for an anniversary lunch. The server was very nice. We got the house made chips and onion dip. Both were excellent. Very fresh tasting. The Label Light beer was pretty good. I won't try to explain the taste, but I liked it. I ordered the short rib French dip. I highly suggest it. The beef was braised and pulled apart. The au jus dip was made from the pan dripping from the ribs. The sandwich was huge, I could only eat half. Heated the other half up in the air fryer for dinner and it was still amazing. Wednesday Karaoke nights are the best!! Grab your friends and come here for a fantastic experience! Haven't tried their food, but their drinks, especially the seasonal drinks, are always yummy. Food that we ordered to over 40 minutes and we were told it was because they were waiting on fries no apologies whatsoever. To make matters worse a rude, unprofessional, hostile, female manager came out and insulted us! I have been to this establishment numerous times and I've never had any problems. I miss the Irish pub that used to be in the space that now is Labels. This place does not have good quality food and lacks vegan, organic-gluten free food options and always out of stock with premium cocktails. They have a small stage for bands but no room for a dance floor and when people start dancing they're in the middle of the bar blocking the main area/floor for people to walk to the bathroom or just around the bar. So we go into the bar/ restaurant and the tables are small . That was the best part of it. Service so so live music sounded like someone stepped on a cats tail. Now getting to the food / up charges. I'm a non meat eater so I ordered a black bean burger . Come to find out they charge extra $4 to get a BBB. Which comes in 2 very thin patties that were dry . Then had avocado put on it extra $3 add fries my burger was just under 30.00. Ridiculous prices 4 bowls and a burger . A salad and chips . 169.00 200.00 after the tip for so so service . Learning lesson but if this place is trying to replicate Ann Arbor you should stop. Worse meal atmosphere ever . Will not ever go back and will definitely tell friends and family not to waste their time and money . This place should be ashamed of the massive up charges . Cute little bar/restaurant with a fun vibe, sports on TV and a modern farmhouse/ barn motif. We were excited to try it. We arrived at 7:45 and didn't get our food until 9:00 pm. It looked like no one had any food so there may have been a fryer breakdown as when the food came, the fries were hot and the rest was cold. Wish they would have just told us if that was the case. Disappointing. The manager offered us shots after we had waited 45 minutes to eat - although we took him up on his offer, one might question if that's the right compensation. Food vs alcohol. My poached pear, prosciutto and arugula pizza was marked as a specialty' but was not good. Pears tasted like cinnamon (ick) and the prosciutto was torn into tiny dime-sized pieces. Tasted mostly like cheese. Crust was rubbery - likely from sitting so long. The staff was friendly but the food was not great. And they had a rock band at 9:00 - not sure this place is big enough as it was impossible to talk after that. We were literally 10 feet from the band as were 6-8 other tables. I highly recommend this place! It's always busy, the food is great and it's very reasonably priced. We called about coming in with a large group and they accommodated seating us. For 8 of us, multiple rounds of drinks each and 6 appetizers, our total bill was only about $200. The old fashioned was phenomenal for only $9, anywhere else it would have been $12+. My only complaint was the steak bites, it only came with 5 small strips of steak on individual pieces of toast, but all the other food was great! read more
