I love watching my son ski from inside the Ore Creek Mountain Grill. The seats right by the window give you excellent view of the slopes. The service here is good. They have a full bar and some good craft beers on draft. There's two fireplaces inside to warm up if you're coming in from the slopes. I have been here for both dinner and weekend brunch. Both were excellent! I love sitting in here and watching the skiers on the hill. The indoor fire creates a warm and inviting atmosphere and on a nice day you can also sit outside! I will come here just for food, even when I'm not skiing. On weekends they have a very affordable all-you-can-eat brunch with rotating brunch specials every week! This past weekend they had regular and blueberry pancakes that were delicious. In addition, they always have eggs, potatoes, breakfast meats, fruit, pastries and more. The new chef and F&B manager are both killing it with a new menu and tons of fresh ingredients. So many improvements on the food since I was here a couple years ago. Plus the staff is friendly and professional. Overall a great experience every time! Pro-tip: Try the Epic Burger! It took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get a table. Then an additional 45 minutes for our food to arrive. My cookie cocoa (a drink with alcohol & Hot chocolate) was cold. My chicken was cold she never asked what dressing for my salad. Waitress never checked on us I had to get the hostess whenever I wanted something. The waitress's name was Kelli. She is too dumb to know that if you take care of your customers they will take care of you. Which means if she had a 1/2 of a brain and gave a shit she would have gotten a tip. I tipped the other waitress who brought me the hot chocolate and the salad dressing. My advise is go to the cafeteria. PS. This place was Awesome in 2017 & 2018. Its gone Way down since. read more

I came back to MtBrighton for the first time this season since their remodel. I was happy with the look of the bar and the Ore Creek Grill. I was especially pleased with the great variety of food on the menu, including seared ahi tuna salad. Today I enjoyed a three cheese grilled cheese with tomato and ordered the sweet potato fries (a bit overdone) but was overall happy especially because it only cost me $7. I was a bit unhappy about the service. I conspicuously walked in my ski boots from the deck entrance to the hostess stand, and just as I finished the walk the hostess turned and walked away. even after the manager greeted me, the hostess didn't prompt me with any sort of indication she was willing to fulfill her duties. during my time there I observed four employees, presumably two of them managers, standing around and talking (sometimes ignoring other customers) near the hostess stand or kitchen window. this gives me the feeling few servers are doing the work and these unnecessary bodies are adding to overhead. read more

//UPDATE// So my son started skiing Mt. Brighton, decided to stop in here and watch him from inside. I approached and was not greeted by any hostess so decided to seat myself. I found nearly every table had not been cleaned. Several with tips still sitting on them. So I just sat at a dirty table. When a waitress finally came 20 minutes later, I ordered a pint of beer. She returned pretty quick with my beer. At this point my son came in to sit with me for a few minutes and he ordered a hot chocolate when she brought my beer. She never brought it. She never even came to see if I wanted anything else for the entire 2 hours I was there watching my son. I actually walked over to the bar for a glass of water at one point. So, needless to say, whoever is managing this place is still missing the mark by a LONG shot. I suggest they either hire better managers, or pray the cafeteria doesnt out sell them. I have 3 season passes at Mt Brighton for my family, and I will be VERY sure I spend all of my money in the cafeteria before I ever set foot in this place again. 2nd time's a charm. My daughter was in ski lessons on Friday night. So for the past 3 Fridays I have spent my evenings at oar creek. Great service by the wait staff. The food was really good too. Had the black bean burger......yummy. The Mac n cheese was great too. Good beer selection. The kitchen staff was more than willing to accommodate my friends vegan lifestyle. Even if you aren't a skier/snowboarder it's worth a trip up. read more

The food was adequate, I ordered the filet mignon. Was cooked to order. VERY OVERPRICED for how much food i got, 26 dollars was absurd. Our server was incompetent. I hope it was his first night because he was horrible. I waited 15 minutes for my second beer to come. My mother ordered an iced tea and he brought a glass of ice water and when we inquired he pointed to the glass and said "that's the iced tea, that is what came out of the iced tea dispenser." It was water. Although, we had a vegan in our party and the manager came out to make a special order for him and they were very accommodating. I wouldn't come back here and I don't recommended it to anyone. I thought when Vail bought this place they would class it up but it seems to me the only thing they classed up was the prices. read more

First time to Mt. Brighton in more than 20 years. Needed to warm up and grab a bite for dinner. We ended up in the grill where we expecting the typical ski lodge overcooked microwaved everything. Ordered 2 classics burgers and were blown away. For sure the best burger in any ski resort we've been to lately including Park, Jackson, Big Sky, or Vail. Moreover it might be the best burger in Brighton. And service from Pam was equally as good. There's a chance I'd come here just for the burger. read more

I am optimistic that they can work out a few kinks to make this an awesome destination... I love that this restaurant overlooks the ski hill. All of the lights and and snow are a beautiful back drop and watching the crazy skiers is very entertaining. Lot's of romantic potential. I wish this had been here when my kids were small. Would have loved to hang-out, have dinner and drinks while my kids enjoyed the slopes. I like the direction they are going with the the food...local fresh! I had the Kobe burger ($14) with hand-cut fries. Both were excellent! The fries were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, hot and seasoned well...delicious. The burger was perfectly cooked and delicious as well. I am eager to go back and have it again. My husband ordered the Chicken pot pie. The filling was obviously homemade with fresh roasted chicken (a piece of bone was in the filling...oops). The flavor of the filling was good, but some work needs to be done on this dish. The "crust" was a puff pasty box, very high style! Unfortunately it was small, obviously made in advance and served at room temperature...pour in the small amount of filling and put the lid on...cool presentation that was slightly warmer than room temperature and way to small for a dinner entree. And certainly not a stick to your ribs, warm up before going back out to ski dish. I also am at a complete lose for what the design concept was for the restaurant. I get that it might be too literal and have it feel like a "ski lodge"....but modern, bright lights, cafeteria furniture...hmmm! They did maintain the cool 60's round fireplace, which I love. They should have used that as a design launch point. The bright lights fight the cool slope lighting and does not encourage you to hang around, nor does the uncomfortable, cold furnishings and sparse tables. Very un-romantic and un-cozy!!! The bar is nice and a good place to have a cocktail. Turn down the lights, bring in some more tables, cozy chairs and candles...work on those entrees (think hearty comfort food)!!! Come on Mt. Brighton....I am rooting for you!!! read more

Came to Ore creek yesterday after hearing they had chicken and waffles on the menu this year! The hostess was very nice, and my server was outstanding! I believe her name was Miranda. She greeted me with a smile and had a great attitude the entire time! At the time of my arrival, the restaurant was very busy. Even though each server had multiple tables to serve, I felt as if I was the only table she had. Outstanding service and outstanding food! I'll be back. read more

It gets 2 stars because the servers were nice and the wait was As expected. I'd give them a 4. But the FOOD SUCKS! WE have been coming here for years. Food used to be great. The Mac & cheese was to die for. This year new cook and new recipe. Its gross the powder stuff out of the box us better. And their fries are EXTREMELY SALTY also gross. My other son's chicken was burned and barely any dressing on his salad. Is give the food no stars if possible. read more

Just a warning, they no longer use straws, or have kid cups. Good for the environment, kind of annoying when you are drinking a Bloody Mary. Food is good. We ordered a pizza flat bread for our daughter. She didn't like it bc the sauce was too spicy. I think the prices are a little high but not exorbitant. Service was decent. I think it would be so hard to work there bc people come and go from the tables, it would be difficult to keep track of. I find it easier to just open a tab and get drinks yourself. I do not like that they have measured pours on the drinks and they use Jack Daniels as the well whiskey, which they didn't tell me.
